There will be more updates. This one looks just as strong as the last plant of this strain. Going to be a but of a rush but she doesn't seem patient. 36 hours and nice growth. Have two 1000w led lights on veg only (only about 180 true watts right now) till this first set of leaves form, probably tomorrow.
Not sure if I will top again or go for manifolding on this run. Time will tell.
Reservoir is loaded with just a few nutes and 7 gallons of RO water. Just enough to keep Ph stable and roots happy when they hit the water. Right now getting plenty of moisture to pebbles via bubbles popping on the surface.
Should be a good run.

Everything is on track. Still just enough nutes in the water to keep her happy. This grow will be a challenge as I'm out a chiller for now and the heat is on in the desert. Hopefully new pump will be here soon so I can stop the endless cycle of water bottles.
Ph is very unstable right now, drifting as much as +1 in 24 hours or not at all some days. Water usage has not been significant yet.

Everything growing as expected. Ph is stable after about half way through week 2. Still having heat "issues", with my bucket temps up to 78 a few days. I use issues in quotes as she doesn't seem to mind it a bit. In fact it's looking like she will be ready to top in a few days. Still not sure if I will go the whole manifolding route on this grow. I'm more feeling the top, veg for a few days, and flip to flower by day 22. That will help reduce the heat load in the grow room during the summer months.
Adding just a dash of bloom to get ready for the early flip.

It's been a good week for growing, not a good week for wrenching. She has more than doubled in size. Gave her a topping 3 days before pictures, and she nice and wide now. Going to flip to 12/12 today, day 22 from seed.
Ph is stable, bucket is still reading pretty good PPM so skipping feeding basic nutes and add support through out the week required.
Started backing the time down daily by an hour, to get to 12/12 by next week. Thinking of trying it for kicks and see how that effects the plant overall compared to my normal next day it's 12/12. Reducing a couple of hours of LED use has allowed the water temps to stablize a bit more. Still warm water but no signs of rot!

Happy with this last week. Little more than double the size from last week. Yes it's already flower time for this one. Bucket temps are easier to keep manageable. I'm liking her response to the topping, almost filling the 5.5sqft I work in.
Again I have that yellow streak I noticed after adding Armor Si to the mix. I'm not worried could be any number of reasons for it, and the positives out weigh the one leaf with a streak, if indeed it is the cause. Heat has been an issue and still will. It's hot outside, but not hot enough for me to fire up the extra AC yet. Lights on we are between 88-92 degrees, out 75-79. She looks happy, but if we start into the high 90's more cooling it is. As it is I'm still supplementing my chiller with frozen bottles of water here and there to keep roots around 70.
Feeding a little here and there, trying to let her say what nutes to add. Toward the middle of the last week she started getting a little yellow, added some grow and micro to the bucket and she looks pretty good. I've also increased the air pump from the lowest output setting (10% based on wattage) to about 35%.
I'm hoping to keep this one right around 24" tall on this run. No need to tie anything down yet, but one is getting close. Some point during this week she will get a little trimming, as she moves into flowering.

So we are flowering it looks like. Think I saw the first hints of flowers at the top today. Added another ~5 inches to her height.
So I cut down the fan leaves a little and took some of the really low growth off. Found she has a couple of roots trying to grow up and out of the netpot, they are now going down in the pebbles.
Probably have to give her one more trim in a couple of weeks, then we just feed a little and wait. I'm holding on the regular feeding right now, just started seeing a bit of a nitrogen deficiency, going to bump a little today with some grow and then get back to normal feeding over the weekend.
The pictures are from the start of week 6. Figuring 10-12 weeks from here. Trying to make it another month before turning on the AC in the grow room.

Looking really good this week. Have the first white hairs showing as of yesterday. She is now about 24" tall, and filling out the whole space nicely. Some time this week she will get another round of defoliation to expose a few more lower sites, and maybe a little more bondage to even things out. Lights are really low to try and slow her stretch, grew about 8 inches in the last week.
She has been on the feed and drinking heavy this week. PPM drops 100-200 a day, and water usage is right around 1.25 gallons a day. Still have not swapped the bucket and don't plan on changing the water any time soon. I've been turning up the air pump this week and she is loving it, right now I'm at about 75% of the max output, probably bump to max during the next light cycle.
Heat continues to be an issue and will be through out the grow, but she doesn't seem to mind it too much.

She is off to the races this week. 12" of growth this week. The longest branch was actually touching the light but does seem to have suffered any damage. Adjusted the lights up 6" and within 2 days the distance was less than 2 inches. She finally slowed the upward growth 4 days after pictures. I've started LST on the big branches to get a few more inches back. The lights being 7" off the top nodes and around 20" off the rest of the lower growth.
Roots are looking great. I stopped the sugar cane for now, I added it last week and the water took on a not great smell for a few days. I'm going back towards the basic nutes I've used in the past like bloom, gro, micro, calmag, keeping only the ones I find work well in my hydro setup. I do not swap water till the end of the run flush.
I've turned up my air pump all the way. Switched out a couple of 2" discs for new 10" stripes. Now have bubbles at every area not consumed by roots.
Nutes have been feeding off regular schedule, I'm finding she likes being fed at a lighter rate, keeping to about 1/3 the recommended schedule for GHE.
Ph has been crazy stable, only moving .2 with the armor si and other nutes. Used .25ml of down to get below 5.9, right now 5.84.
she seems to eat well at 800-1200ppm but slows when under 700.

This week has been nice and easy here. Just allot more food needed this last week. But some really good flower growth. The bottom leaves started getting burned off late in week 8, added half strength food which slowed down the issue. This weeks feeding will be spread out to keep TDS between 900-1200 ppm which seems to work well.
I did tie up the long node, the tops have gotten pretty even length now. The lower canopy is over full and spilling out the tent. I will be taking a few lower branches for a sample (first time I got to flower this strain). The smell isn't as strong as some of my other grows, and it's different smelling, not what I would normally call a "weed" smell.
So I'm trying not to do too much but she is eating very fast and the bucket seems smaller each day. Ph has stayed nice stable even with the healthly bump of armor si.
Upwards growth slowed WHEW...

Great progress this week. Upwards growth is much slower. Added some more wires to tie down these monster branches. Temps still are high but she is happy and we will be staying at this temp and no more.
The roots are still looking very healthy. In fact it was such a slow week I decided on an experiment. The right side of the plant has had most of the large fan leaves removed. I ended up up with just over 2 gallon pales full of trim. The light penetration is so much better now. I'm only doing this to a couple of the colas on the right side of the plant, I also took off a good bit of the lower growth (not quite lollipop) on these nodes. Lets see if the flowers are any bigger/smaller on this side. Right now it's pretty even over the whole plant.
The upwards growth has slowed a good bit. Still she is gaining an inch here and there, but I suspect this is the last of the stretch for this gal. The top canopy is about 6 inches off the lights. The lower canopy is about 18 inches from the lights so still in a nice area.
I'm continuing to feed on the light side, keeping under 1200ppm and above 600ppm. Ph shot up after a dose of Armor Si. Had to use 2ml of Ph down to get back to ~5.8 and an additional 1ml the next day (drifted to 6.0), now sitting stable at 5.85.
I have turned on my additional AC unit just about everyday this last week, just to keep temps from rising.

Growing big this week. Almost no upwards growth this week, buds are getting wider each day.
Smell has a taken on a more weedy smell but still isn't like any strain I've grown in the past. More a aged tobacco smell (like a walk in humidor).
Ph is stuck at 5.9 right now. I've added over 5ml in the last 12 hours of Ph down trying to get lower. I'm giving it a day or two to work out before adding more as it's probably built up buffer in the solution and now I'm on a ledge where at some point just a little more acid will tip things too far.
The last week she has been very hungry. Half way through the week requiring additional bloom food. Now that we aren't growing taller we will switch to only bloom nutes and give a shot of micro when she looks like she needs it.
From here out I will only defolate taking only the fan leaves that block lower growth. Speaking of those fan leaves there is a ton of crystals allover the fan leaves too.
A sample I took a couple of weeks ago smoked well, tasted like fresh cut grass, and actually got the job done. These were taken in week 8 and were smaller than what most people would try to grind.
This next week is just focused on staying on point. Feeding is spread out to over 3 days during the week to keep levels from spiking too much. Volume of nutes is way up, bloom this week is planned to be a few ml per gallon more than GHE recommends. On nice thing in hydro, if you pour in too much you can drain off the replace with new water and try again. Do like me and mix up your nutes in 1 gallon bottles to be fed (watch for nutes that will bind with each other in small quantities (bottles usually will state this, like calmag and armor si shouldn't go together). When out of town I have each bottle labeled with a date and ppm level the water should be in bucket before use for my partner who can't remember shit for some reason :) but I guess I can't complain they keep the plants alive while I'm away.

Taking a long time for this weeks update, that's only cuz my fingers are sticking to the screen as I try to type. Just being in the same room as this plant makes me feel a little better about the day.
Back to "work"
She has lost just a bit of height this last week, tops are filling out nicely, I'm adding around 40-60ml of bloom nutes every other day to my bucket, trying the sugar again and zero rot issues, maybe I will try Floralucious plus on the next grow. Starting to look a little yellow in a few spots, so maybe a little gro or micro, but for sure more bloom. This next week I will add just a little bit more (10-30ml) of bloom in bucket.
Wow she is so big now. We have a few more weeks to go
I will be working to lower the Ph once again, but stuck in same spot I've added a ton of Ph down and little change was observed in bucket . Last time I left it over the day and it was 5.85 the next night.

Wow it's been a busy week here. I think the flowers have doubled in size. For the last 4 days she has been hungry for whatever I put in the bucket. Those numbers are correct, for now. Each day I'm adding 30-40ml of bloom and a good bit of micro too as she is getting really wide now. I've added back the Floralucious plus and the smell in the grow room is maddening now. Walk in and you instantly know it's some good.
So this week we are pruning only the lower nodes that cannot be supported or are not getting light, and feeding. Ph is locked in at 5.9 and 10ml of Ph Down didn't change it so I'm just leaving it alone for now. Just enjoying the time before I get the clippers out.
I slipped most of her ties late last week leaving the one to keep her from falling out of the box.
Update at the end of the week she needs more bondage to keep her in the grow room. Now all the growth is heavy enough that multiple new supports are added to the main colas.
After adjustment of Ph (fell off that cliff, one morning found her at 5.6, which is lower than I run normally) I corrected slowly over the day with Ph up and Armor Si (was about that time). Once at 5.8 she took a large drink of water, literal 1/8" of water gone in 5 minutes and all the limbs fell on me. Now sitting at 5.85 after another bit of Ph up. Adjusted nute schedule to match actual for past week. Used almost 300ml of bloom and 200ml of KoolBloom this week. I don't see/feel any clumps of salts in the bottom of my bucket, still she eating at the rate of 700-1400ppm a day. While checking for another reason she is eating so much I brushed the air stones and wiped down the lights. I'm thinking it's only 1-2 more weeks for her.

Another big growth week. I'm thinking her basket is too restrictive so I cut a few ribs around some big roots. After adding Floralucious plus the roots got very dark, but it does seem to have a net positive effect on the plant.
This week we are watching for her to be ready to start flushing. Maybe 1-2 weeks left for this lady. Zoomed in pictures show a ton of milky trichromes with still a good number clear. Will start flushing on the first few amber.
Update. Ack!
She got slimed! Well at least the roots did a bit, but flushing with tap water for a day or so and we see if see can go a little longer. Added pictures of the slime and after clean up. Looking back, roots weren't looking great around the end of week 13, and guess what I added that week. Floralucious plus, it did seem to give her more smell the day it was added, maybe that wasn't good. My last grows when used it I developed rot as well. Still I'm running things way outside the recommendations here, too hot, no reservoir changes, small light leak (f'ing root keeps pushing pebbles so light gets in through basket now) so there could be any number of explanations (I even found a roach (ewww) in my reservoir one morning this week). I think I will skip Fplus completely on the next run.

Overall I'm pleased with the results. The girl grew nice and fast and fat even in 80 degree water at times. It's too hot to do this right now so it's a break and retool the grow room before the next grow.
I neglected to add the wet cure to my total dry weight as it has another 2-3 days at least in water before drying (we going for no smell, 7 days in water so far)
Not much to fix in this grow other than don't just keep dropping nutes in bucket. It took 3 days of ro to complete the flush on this grow due to the issues at the end. I learned a little more on this grow and will learn even more next grow.
