TerpToad The third and final strain for my sativa grow is Tangerine Dream by Barneys Farm.
I have high expectations for this strain, since I grew three Tangerine Dream Auto last summer on my balcony. Everything on the nugs was perfect, a candy like aroma, sweet orangy citrus terps and a strong but not overwhelming effect. The high was uplifting and giggly, and I enjoyed this strain far more than all others I grew or had acces to. So lets see how she performs as a photoperiod!
The seed was planted directly in BioBizz Light Mix and placed in a small greenhouse.

TerpToad I was gone for 10 days and my plants did really well under the care of my plant sitter. I returned midway thorugh week 3 of veg to a bunch of beautiful plants and started mainlining.
To save some time in veg I will use 4 sidebranches as my base instead of just 2. this way its not a classic manifold, but since its my first time mainlining I guess this will work just fine to learn about the technique.
I also turned on the AutoPot system, the plants are now drinking on their own.

TerpToad Tangerine Dream responded seemingly well to her harsh training, but closer inspection showed some damage on the two upper branches (pic 4).
I think she will power through and just fatten up her stems at these parts, but I was very carefull with additional training. I staked down new growth but didnt go as far down as with the other two plants. If she doesnt heal up I have to choose a different kind of training method.

TerpToad Week 5 of veg starts with the first look on the final 8 tops that will eventually flower. Because of the really good growth of this plant, I topped her again at the end of last week. Now its all about growing out the eight remaining branches and then sending them into bloom.
The damage on the upper two mainstems healed of nicely, the plant didnt even showed a slower growth or other responses to the wounds.

TerpToad Tangerine Dream starts into last week of veg with some cleaning of the inner branches and light LST. She is growing the bushiest out of all three plants right now, so I want to give her some space without hurting her branches. I noticed her stems are much more sturdy but less flexible compared to her sisters.
In preparation for bloom I added 40 grams of BioBloom to the soil.

TerpToad After 36 hours of darkness this Tangerine Dream enters flower in week 7. I expect the first true signs of flowering by the end of the week, so I considering this week as preflower.
Growth is still amazing. Some lower branches pushed up to the canopy, so I end up with 10 tops right now. I dont plan on another big training session, so they will probably stay.

TerpToad And up she goes! First week of bloom brought a nice and even stretch on all branches. Surprisingly, this Tangerine Dream manages to keep up with her exploding sister, a Strawberry Cough.
No complains on this pheno so far at all, she is a pleasure to grow. Hoping for some more stretch in the following week!

TerpToad Wow, what a stretch! She gained over 30 cm of height in week 2 of bloom alone. I wonder if she will continue the growth this week or if she is about to slow down. The first buds are becoming visible, so I guess she will use her energy for some bulking soon.
I defoliated and removed some lower growth. Afterwards I added a support ring held up by bamboo sticks to spread her branches apart and support the lengthy stems.
I added 20 grams of BioBloom as recommended and another 20 grams of BioGrow just to spoil her a bit :)
