It depends on which pots you want to use.. If the pots are about 20 liters, I would try it with 4 because they can grow quite large.. If you take 11-liter pots, you can fit 8 plants as well.. Since you can't really train autos, you have to test it out to see how it goes. I would start with an 11-liter pot with 4 plants, and if you see there's still enough space, either go for larger pots or more plants, or both.. You have to test it out.

Hi @blackhole! It's all about the techniques you plan to use. For instance, in a SOG setup (Sea Of Green), you want the maximum plants in the minimum space, since you will remove all side stems and let the plants grow vertically as fast as possible. If you rather like to mainline your plants, 2 or 3 big mainlined plants will fill your room. If you plan a long SCROG you can have only 1 plant in the tent, with weeks of training to make a monster over the scrog net. Remember the more plants the more daily work you will have, and you better not work in an overcrowded environment, that leads to multiple issues such as lack of air, high relative humidity in flowering, or plants fighting for space/light. Yes you can plant feminised with autos but you will have to do it at the right time to be able to put the photoperiodic strains into flowering as soon as your auto are ready. If you want 1 month of vegetation for them then put them inside 1 month before your auto harvest but it will be hard to manage a flowering canopy and a vegetative one in the same tent with space restriction , the main issue could be the shade create by the autos canopy on the photo canopy. Now about the number of plants it depends on a lot of things but the pot size is the most important for the autos because once the roots are well settled the plant goes into flowering ; you can grow something like 32 plants into 3L pots ( SOG ) or 6 in 40L pot , it is really depending on you , your needs , your space , the amount of plant you are allowed to grow ( or you want to grow ) , the strain ( sativa will get bigger )
