I had to plant the seeds a little early so the tap roots only grew a couple millimeters before transplanting. This is probably the reason the white train hasn't sprouted. I hope it is still able to germinate. The other are doing good. I planted them in the ground 5 days ago and watered them in and now 5 days later just got back in town. I going to guess this is day 3 from the day they broke the soil. I'm going to start them indoors and start putting them outside during the day and then once they start to flower I will put them outside full time.

Pretty good so far, not the fastest growth ever but they look healthy. The White Train looks like it's finally about to sprout. I bought some malted barley powder to top dress with because a youtuber named cali rooted claimed it may have contributed to his plants being ready to harvest after 7 weeks flower, which would be great for me seeing as I'm on an 11 week timeframe. I also have some oregonism xl mycorrhizae coming in the mail because I could not use the mykos because its not water soluble.

Sadly The White Train Auto from Mephisto never sprouted which is a bummer because it was the strain I was most looking forward to. Otherwise I guess this week went okay. The plants are not taking off as fast as I would hoped but oh well. I've been trying to expose the plants to the sun a little so when I move them outside full time to flower they are not too shocked. I noticed some black little fly's that may have been fungus gnats so I got rid of them with a vinegar and soap solution in a little bowl. Worked perfectly. I also got some organism XL to stimulate microbes in hopes to make the plants grow quicker. I am top dressing slightly with malted barley powder each watering in hopes of achieving a faster flowering product.

The plants are growing really slow, I don't really know what to do about it and they're getting attacked by at least one pest. I've been giving a foliar of molasses and compost tea once every 3 days and they seem to like it, but again, Im not really sure if anything will be able to come of this grow.

Something or maybe a couple of things seem to be attacking my plants because they have some weird little spots and some parts of leaves missing. Any ideas? Is this also why they are growing so slowly?

@420pete so how did you go with the bug problem? I hope you sorted it out? It's a good idea to always keep a range of pesticides such as Diatomaceous Earth & Neem oil handy during a grow as you never know when trouble will strike. Being proactive is always better than waiting for things to happen as i found out the hard way myself Best of Luck mate

hey Pete can you let me know what you put in your soil mix? Also compost tea does not need to be applied frequently, its more of a microbial inoculation. using a molasses spray after words provides a little extra food for the microbes that you have growing in your soil and on your plant. Id like to help you but need a bit more information on what your doing

For me it seems you have a lot of thrips on your plant, i would start to use neem oil as a spray solution on the leaves and as additive for your water. Neem disturbs the development of the chitin exoskeleton of most bugs, so they die when they should change their skin. Use it every 3 days on your leaves for about 2 weeka and three times in water, then you should havve killed most of them.

Everything's still moving super slow. I've been watering with Oregonism XL which contains a bunch of beneficial bacteria and micorhizae but it hasn't done much. I've kinda given up on this grow. Im probably gunna throw them outside next week whether they start flowering soon or not. Theres no way they're ever going to become a half decent size. Oh well... If I were to do it again, I would've started the seeds in solo cups even though they say not to transplant autos, I think it really would have helped them get a smooth start which would give much better yields. I have some photo period plants that are growing in solo cups with similar soil mix and they look infinitely better + much bigger growth.

Things are looking slightly better but still nothing really is going to come of this grow, its pretty screwed up, all the plants are tiny for how long they've been growing. The new growth however looks healthier and even though the pot is infested with tons of pests, the weed doesn't seem to be getting attacked. Ima throw them outside hopefully in 4 days, some rain came out of nowhere, otherwise I would've put them outside today. we'll see what happens

Im moving the plants outside permanently tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some smokeable product before the end of June when I leave for the rest of summer, but the odds are very slim. Amnesia haze still doesn't seem to want to grow but the freeze berry is shooting up. Why isn't it flowering tho? Blackberry is starting to smell for sure.

Plants have been enjoying their life out in the sun. I did so much wrong in this grow. 1st of all, I think it would've been better off the start them outside. 2nd It would've been much better off to start them in solo cups with fresh soil, even though they say not to transplant autos. 3rd I should've started IPM much sooner. I just remembered this week that I have monterey graden spray and that seemed to get rid of most of the pest problems.

Looking better than I expected overall. I don't think any of them except maybe the blackberry will be able to be harvested because I am leaving for the rest of summer in 3 weeks. I will probably gift the plants to a friend or something. Growth is looking good. Only issue is aphids are becoming a bit of a problem.

Plants look good. They have been drinking a lot of water as we had a couple days this week in the 90s. I only have three weeks until I leave for 6 weeks so I will have to chop them all in two weeks or give them to a friend. I think theres a chance the blackberry will be smokeable by then but the freeze berry and amnesia haze aren't even showing trichomes yet. Hopefully I'll get a friend to take care of and harvest them and they'll save a little for me. I also want to get that gsc into the pot after the autos so I have a plant for the photoperiod season. Im also a little bummed because the blackberry was purple a week ago but now looks completely green. Hopefully it was just the high temps and it will purple out before harvest.

Well looks like this is the end. I just gave all my plants to a friend to take care of, harvest, and smoke because I am leaving for 7 weeks. The blackberry was almost done and the two others had at least 3 or 4 weeks. Its too bad, the Freeze berry was really starting to frost up and smelled like candy and berries, I was excited to see how it came out. Hopefully I still will. The amnesia haze on the other hand wasn't looking too good. I think it might be revegging or something because the buds weren't filling out and were putting out few pistils, looking almost like a dr. grinspoon. Sorry you all probably won't see the final harvest. If theres anything left when I get back I'll make sure to update.

Happy Harvest Day!

Super potent. One bowl off a one hitter was enough for me. Smells and tastes like berries with a hint of citrus. This plant grew hands down the best out of the 3 and did pretty okay despite the awful conditions the first few weeks. Bulked up and frosted out pretty well. I would say density was medium. I would love to see how this plant would do in decent conditions/indoors.

Like I said above, this plant really pulled through compared to the others. I had my friend finish growing these plants and harvest them and I gave her 80% of the harvest. It looked like this plant yielded about an ounce consisting of large colas, however a little was lost due to bud rot from caterpillar poop. It looks like she did a pretty good job, especially for her first time.

Good high, medium potency, enjoyable smoke. Buds did not grow well at all, looks like it might have been confused about flowering so I don't really trust that this is a steady fixed auto.

Plant grew as well as the freeze berry until flower. During flower it seemed a little confused as at first it started shooting out pistils and then started growing taller and looked like it was revegging and then it went back into flower but never really bulked up at all. Maybe in a more consistent environment this would be less of an issue as it went from 20 hours of light indoors to 15 hours of light outdoors which tapered off to about 13 hours.

ok, its a good start but you need some more nutrients in your soil. This is more than likely why the plants are growing so slow. Id suggest not to use that black and gold bag soil. Use coco coir and peat moss as a substitute for the bulk of soil. the compost and worm castings are good. i read what is in the vegan mix and its all good but your going to want more for nutrients than just that. I personally like to use a wide variety of organic slow release nutrients for a living soil, maybe have something quicker release for nitrogen so your young plants get a quicker start. Fish meal, bone meal, kelp meal, blood meal, humic acids, shrimp meal, crap meal. The more variety the better in my opinion. Also very important is to add some lime and rock dust to your soil. the rock dust and lime is critical to allow for your nutrients to become unlocked my micro organisms and provide you with your trace minerals. There are many sources for Calcium i like to use oyster shell powder. Oh and very very important mycohorrizal fungi!! Use this when you plant your seed and whenever you transplant, rub it on the roots and in the hole you place plant in. It must come in physical contact with the roots. This is a basic soil recipe: To make 15 gallons of soil (1/3) 5 gallons- compost/wormcastings (1/3) 5 gallons- coco coir and or peat moss (1/3) 5 gallons- aeration (perlite or popped glass) This right here will be the bulk of your soil, now you need to add your nutrients Some simple math 1 cubic foot = ~7.5 gallons---->15 gallons = 2 cubic feet Add two cups per cubic foot of lime or calcium to your soil, for this example would be 4 cups now in a 1:1 ratio mix your nutrients in a bucket EXAMPLE (fish meal, kelp meal, neam meal, crab meal) You would mix 1 cup all of those nutrients in a bucket. After you mix them together, add ~1 cup of the mix per cubic foot to your soil. For this example you would add two cups of the mix into your soil. Blend all of these ingredients together thoroughly on a tarp. Add water to it or even better compost tea as you are mixing. After finished mixing and getting it wet, your soil is almost complete. you should allow 3-4 weeks for your soil to "cook". This means letting the micro-organisms multiply and begin to break down the nutrients and organic matter. After 4 weeks there will be sufficient nutrients available for plants to immediately use. Once your plant is introduced the soil food web will be complete and everything should thrive. This is a water only soil recipe, compost tea and clean water free of chloramine is all you need to get all the way to harvest

@Mikeygrows, Thank you so much for the advice! For this current grow I will try topdressing with some other amendments to add more variety and quicker release nutrient sources. Next grow I will start a new pot with a new soil mix. I will be following along on your grows!

@Mikeygrows, Thanks for the info. My soil mix has a base of Black Gold soil and is amended with Down To Earth Vegan mix, baby bu's compost, and some worm casting from a worm bin I had. I re-amended just before this grow.
the end.
