BabaPott I germinated two seeds of the strain Lemon Cherry Gelato. Both sprouted within 24 to 36 hours in a damp tissue and were then planted in Jiffys. After about two days, the seeds emerged from the Jiffys. After another 2 to 3 days, the first roots peeked out from the Jiffys. For me, that meant the plants could be transplanted into a 0.8-liter pot, which I filled with Plagron Light Mix.

BabaPott We're dealing with two Lemon Cherry Gelato and two Black Cherry Gusher. Unfortunately, due to space constraints in the veg cabinet, the plants have grown quite tall, which is why I had to install a SCROG net to guide them better. Watering is done through a drip system – each plant gets two drippers. In 7 minutes, the drippers release a total of 100 ml of nutrient solution, meaning each plant receives 200 ml of nutrients during each watering. Currently, they are watered three times a day. If the demand increases, the watering interval will be adjusted accordingly. Soil moisture is monitored with an AC Infinity Soil Sensor. The ladies are illuminated by two AC Infinity EVO 3 lights and IonBeam supplemental lights. There’s a simulated sunrise and sunset, each lasting 15 minutes. During these phases, two Far-Red lamps are also used to optimally complement the light spectrum.

BabaPott So week 2 has started, as you can see, quite a bit has happened in the past few days. I had done a great job defoliating the ladies before flowering, and as you can see, they have recovered well. The side shoots are sprouting out from every corner. The temperature has dropped a bit, to be exact, by 1 degree. To maybe counteract that, I'm turning the light up from 6 to 8. Today, I refilled the tank for the watering (45l) with Terra Bloom, CalMag, and 20ml Power Bud from Plagron, and by hand, I gave each lady 1l of Plagron Royal Sugar.

BabaPott Week three has started. The second went smoothly, without stress. The ladies are lacking nothing at all. They drink like champions. This week I reduced the bloom fertilizer to 60%. Let's see if the ladies still like it or if that's too little.

BabaPott Week 4 has started, and it was a bit more exciting this week because I had to make sure the ladies don't grow too tall. How did I do that? I lowered the lights so that the ladies are always 10cm away from the lamp, which gives them a lot of light and makes them grow slower. As for the ladies, they are getting a bit more nutrients this week than last week, to be precise, from 3ml per liter of water to 4ml. The soil is always between 38% and 51% moisture, measured with the AC Infinity soil sensor, and the ladies are feeling very good. As you can see, I've had some issues with humidity, so I quickly put a dehumidifier in the room that I run through a humidity outlet, and it only runs during the night phase when the humidity goes above 64%. From this point on, I'll pay attention to when the growth is over. As soon as that happens, the lights will be turned up to 90% and set to about 40cm distance, then the ladies can thrive to their fullest.

BabaPott So the 4th week is over. I was briefly worried that the ladies could get too big, so I bent down the 2-3 main stems to keep everything in check. Luckily, the stretch stopped on Friday, and now the ladies are starting to develop their buds. As for the ladies, as you can see, so far there are no signs of deficiencies. They are getting Plagron Bloom from the dripper, Green Sensation, CalMag, and once I gave the ladies Royal Sugar by hand. The pH level is between 5.5 and 6. So far, my conclusion is that this is a plant that can take a lot and tolerates quite a bit, whether it was too few nutrients or too moist soil, etc.

BabaPott Week 5 started off well but the weather this week has turned against me, since I'm working with the natural influences of the weather. I've had humidity levels between 62-68% during the night phase despite the dehumidifier running only moderately, because otherwise it gets too warm in the grow room and then the ladies start sweating, which creates even more humidity in the end. During the day, I've had a good 25.5-26 degrees and between 58-61% RH. As you can see, the ladies are not lacking in nutrients, and there's no slight over-fertilization. I defoliated the ladies a bit over the weekend, and I've already tied up a few of the tall ones with a plant yo-yo as a precaution. Defoliating has significantly increased resin production. Now we hope that starting tomorrow, the humidity will drop.

BabaPott Week 6 – A bit tougher than usual This week was a bit more challenging – I had to run the dehumidifier almost daily since the humidity was quite high. Especially during the flowering phase, this is critical to prevent mold formation. About the ladies: As you can see, not much has changed visually. The girls have stopped the length growth of the buds. Now it's time to get down to business: getting thicker and fuller! Visually, the plants already look somewhat ready for harvest – many would probably reach for the scissors right now. But a look at the trichomes clearly shows: there's still more to come. They are mostly still milky, with only a few amber ones. So, I'm expecting at least another two weeks until the right ripeness is achieved.

BabaPott Week 8 started off great and ended very well too. Due to the cool temperatures, the buds have turned purple. I switched the tanks to just water after a few days so the ladies can draw the last nutrients from the soil and prepare for the end. The only thing I'm still adjusting is the pH level of the water to 6.0.

BabaPott All in all, the grow was great, without major problems—just with the height, because I worked with a flood table for the first time and I was missing some height. The plant is very easy to grow and quite resilient; I didn't observe any nutrient deficiencies or mold the whole time, even though I worked with a lot of ambient humidity. As for the buds: they're not the biggest like with other strains, but they smell really strong. What I can smell right away is Kush mint, along with a bit of fruity sweetness. I'll weigh it out when the buds are separated from the stem in ten days.

Man, that looks great! My sister did this strain too, and is at least very consistent in appearance. VERY. Congratulations on your harvest. Looks 🔥!
