Well, First off Huge Thanks to Barneys Farm for the genetics. Every strain I have grown from them has been pre-moe...So this is my sativa Harvest Cup grow. Old School sativa vibe is what I'm going for. I'm also trying to embody the sativa effects but not grow what everyone ells is growing. Strong Jamaican & Thai genetics giving a clear focus giggly high. I'm going to be running Vegamatrix and some enoculants, in Soil #2 from Oregons Only mixed with hydro stone & a little more coco coir. It will be tested for heavy metals and other toxins so back to basics , vegan/organic diet. Planning on a 6 week veg & a 12 week flower time. She is going to be a big girl. She will have a sister plant from Holy Smoke joining her.
She is starting out on point. Gave her a low dose of micros and a touch of bloom nutes to help her get going. The soil I'm using has nothing in it as far as nutes. Nothing really interesting happening.
Gave her her 1st feed this week. Ppm were around 400. She is coming in strong. Vegging out. Nothing really interesting to report. No issues or deficancys.
She is growing very well. She has some fat leaves for being heavy sativa genetics. She only has 2 more weeks of veg before she is put to flower, so I'm going to start her training this week. She will have 4 mains and 4 branches. I'll be scrog-ing her out.😁 I'm planning on a 12 week flower time.
For being a sativa she sure has some indica leaves. She is coming along nicely, rapid vegetative growth. I'm going to top her 1 more time before I put her to flower . Se will have 4 mains and 4 branches. Trying to get her be an nice even Bush and controle her hight during her 11 week cycle. She will be scrog'ed in the flower tent.
So I have this girl all streached out. I started her training. Took off 4 of her branch water leaves to help open her up and did some LST. She will be put to flower in 10 days, June 2nd for a 11-12 week flower cycle. She is loving the veganic nutes(Vegamatrix)super healthy and green. No deficancys or issues. I have not had any issues with Barneys Farms genetics and they haven't let me down thus far. Big ups and thank you for the quality work with genetics.
Okee-Doke. FLOWER TIME! She was transplanted and flipped. She got sprinkled with Extreme Gardening Mykos & Azos along with Great White Shark myccroriza during her transplant. This girl didn't even miss a beat. These are strong genetics. She has handled everything I threw at her so far. She is eating as much nutes as I can give her to. I'm planning for a 11-12 week flower time table. She is all streached out and I put the trellis up in preparation. I will be adding CO2 next week. Good times...
She is coming along, I did a good prune and defoliation. She is taking to the training well. She is super hungery for nutes, just keeps on drinking up what ever I give her with no issue.
D/17: She is stacking up nicely, starting week 3 off perfect. No deficancys or issues. Se is slowly streaching, not as fast as her sister pant next to her. None the less she is going to be a nice sized plant and continue she will hopefully continue to streach through the 10-12 week flower period. I am going to start adding Vegamatrix Big-N-Sticky to her feed(PK Booster). Good times....
D/21: She drank up a gallon of nutes with in 2 days so I gave her a nother gallon. She is in full bloom now, so its expected. I upped the ppm to 1300s, she is known to take heavy ppm with no problem. She is starting to eat P from her old lower leaves so "when in rome".
No smell yet. Nodal spacing is about medium .
She is doing well. Starting to fatten up. I added some biobizz-bloom and Bloombastic to her feeds. The vegamatrix wasn't cutting it with the bloom stage, especially when the plants are hungery. I started to see the early signs of P deficancys so I added some heavy nutes to her feed and raised the ph to 6.3 to help absorption.
So she is coming along nicely. No issues as of yet like her sister plant. I switched over to to Bio-Bizz for the end of her cycle since I had some issues with her sister. Dont want to develop the same potassium lockout. Her buds are starting to fill out. Didn't streach as much as I thought she would for being a sativa dom. She smells kinda like fual, but I feel like most plants smell like fuel at first.
So she is stacking up nicely, had to put in a couple bamboo sticks to help hold up a couple branches. I added some extra PK booster and switched over to strate bloom nutes. She got some extra space a couple days ago because I had to kill her sister due to a deficiency I could not fix. It happens sometimes. She smell like cannabis not strong yet though. Have to wait till the trichomes develop more.
So she is packing on the weight. She is on week 7 of flower and I think she is probably going to go to week 10 or 11. Breeder ses 12 weeks. I've lowered her N intake drastically this week and upped the PK just to help squeeze out what she is going to pack on. I am still using cal-mag that has N in it but not on the order of it being utilized by the plant. She is starting to pulling some N from her water leaves wich is good.
So she is stacking it on now. She has developed a floral-herb smell. I have put her on a worm casting tea diet till harvest. The amount of nutients in the mix is minuscule and have no effect on the flush cycle so I can use it all the way till harvest. It's all about them roots...hahaha...
She is definatly ripening. I'm giving her about 7-10 more days till I harvest (flower day 70-73). The smell is tropical, floral, dank.super happy with how she is turning out. Barneys Farm does an amazing job on there strains. Nothing really new to report. The trichomes are maturing, she is at around 5-10% amber. Trying to hit that 25% that I like. The most common problem with most inexperienced growers is they dont let there plants mature out. I've learned to just wait, and it's hard, but definatly worth it in the end. The highs tend to be less "anxious", but still super potent, and the smell tends to be more dank and heady.
So she grew like a champ. Streached about 200%. Had a tropical funk while in flower. Super potent and psychedelic high. Flavor and smell after dryed is teopical/floral and skunky with a gassy back end. I took her to day 70 of flower before the chop. She was around 15% amber on the calix wivh is fine for me. The come down tells me there is definatly some indica in there somewere, but definatly sativa dominant. Jus a nother example of Barneys Farms amazing genetics. You do get a bit giggly and get a bout of forgetfulness mid way through the 3-4 hour buzz. Definatly worth trying if you like powerful sativas. As far as the nutrients, I had a Potassium lock out on week 4 of flower due to the high sodium content in Vegamatrix Boost. So needless to say I wont be using there nutrients anymore.
