Gorillanonymous Mixed 20L of Canna Bio Terra Plus soil, with 1.5L of Westland perlite and 0.5L of Westland vermiculite. I then added 5tsp of Vitax Q4 Mycorrhizal Fungi powder into the mix.
After combining the mixture thoroughly and returning to the 20L fabric pot, I dig a 1cm hole into the soil and drop the seed in, making sure the indented end faces upwards.
During the veg stage, (the first month or so) I will not fertilise the plants at all, as the soil comes preloaded. However I will do the following routine EVERY time I water her, without fail, until flowering. I add these supplements to 1L - 1.5L of water, every 4-5 days, in this order -
Adjust to 23°C
Dechlorinate
Add 1ml per litre Biobizz Algamic
Add 1ml per litre Dutch Pro Multi Total
pH down to 6.1 - 6.4
I added 1 litre to the freshly planted seed, spread around the pot to avoid dehydration of the soil and nasty hydrophobic conditions forming.
Update : She sprouted after 6 days, with just one watering. A slow germination, but she looks great now. I gave her another light watering when she popped (only 250ml as the pot is still quite heavy) I'm expecting great things from this modern take on a classic strain. 💪🏼It's going to be topped and HST'd, and I'm confident she can take it. Maybe I'll dust off the Strat and play her some Jimi Hendrix 🎸🎸

Gorillanonymous Day 4 - The pot is still feeling heavy, so I gave her around 300ml of water. I won't be watering heavily until the pot feels a bit lighter. She looks healthy and happy!

I gave her about 400ml of treated water (see germ page for details). Half straight into the base of the plant, the rest spread around the pot.

Gorillanonymous Day 14 - She's looking very strong and steady. Ready for the first topping on day 14 which is bang on the average! I topped her off, and the secondary shoots look huge. I have a feeling that Purple Haze will be a great strain for HST.
The pot is still feeling heavy so I didn't give her any water today, but I'll probably do it tomorrow.
Update Day 17 - Those new little main shoots are growing super fast, so they needed pegging down today before they get too thick and unworkable. She wasn't quite ready for topping yet, so I'll save that for tomorrow! Again, no water needed as the pot still has some weight.
Day 18 - She was ready for the second topping. The shoots are growing fast and strong, she seems to love a bit of HST! Jimi would be proud 🎸🎸🌱🌱 still no water needed!

Gorillanonymous Day 23 - She looks really great. A dank gassy smell is starting to come through as well. She gona stink! The leaves look awesome, really wide and deep green.
She's not ready for topping yet, but I pegged down 6 of the 8 shoots out into a circle shape, and the other 2 shoots directly vertically upwards. I also begrudgingly cut off four of those beautiful leaves, so she can breathe as she continues to grow.
The pot finally feels a bit lighter, so I gave her 2.5L of treated water (see germination page for details). 0.5L directly into the plant base, and the rest spread around. It was a slow watering - I haven't watered her for a week, so the soil has gone a little hydrophobic!
No concerns at all.
Day 25 - she's ready for her final topping! I snipped off the tips and re-pegged a few of the shoots. She's looking great 💪🏼
