HandsomeTerpz The Vanilla Frosting from Humboldt is giving me a bit of trouble with germination, just like the other seeds. 🌱 Despite soaking them in water, trying the paper towel method, or planting directly into the substrate, the ladies are a little lazy when it comes to sprouting. Interestingly, the very first seedling developed three cotyledons instead of two – a rare and fascinating mutation! 🌿✨
The Vanilla Frosting got off to a really good start .
At first, I was a bit nervous, so I germinated a second seed just in case.
Conditions look spot on:
🌡️ 25 °C,
💧 75% humidity,
🌱 light, airy mix of 50% soil / 50% perlite
🚀 perfect for strong root development.

HandsomeTerpz Humboldt seeds can sometimes be a bit trickier when it comes to germination and the early phase, especially compared to Zamnesia. I can’t say for sure why maybe it’s the age of the seeds. But I promise you, the little bit of extra work at the start is absolutely worth it!
I’m currently working on a solution and already have an idea spoiler: I think the issue comes from using small starter pots.
Once the seedlings recover, you can expect a crazy terpene explosion later on.
These plants smell insanely strong and unique in their adult phase! 🔥
Don’t just take my word for it check out the other grow diaries of this strain.
