MistaOC 05.08. First of all, once again a big thank you to Biotabs.nl for the opportunity to use their complete organic nutrient range in this grow. The cooperation means a lot to me, and I am very excited to see how the plants continue to respond to this natural feeding system. ⸻ Update – Day 7 • The seedlings have established themselves well in the soil and are now entering early vegetative growth. • All plants are showing healthy green leaves, with no signs of stress or deficiencies. • Stem development looks strong and stable, a good foundation for the next weeks. ⸻ Nutrients & Medium • Biotabs products have been incorporated from the start and are working smoothly so far. • Microbial life and root development are visibly encouraged, with the plants responding in a balanced and steady way. • Watering has been kept light to avoid over-saturation, focusing on supporting root spread. MistaOC 11.08. Update – Day 13 • The plants are continuing steady early vegetative growth. • Leaf development looks good, with a healthy green color and compact structure. • Stems are becoming stronger, showing stable progress since germination. ⸻ Pest Situation • Unfortunately, the thrips problem is still present, despite thorough cleaning of the grow area beforehand. • To address this issue in a natural way, I have ordered beneficial nematodes. • They are expected to arrive in the next few days and should help control the thrips population effectively. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Until the nematodes arrive, close observation of the leaves continues to be necessary. • The plants themselves are holding up well, showing resilience despite the pest pressure. • I am confident that once the nematodes are applied, the situation will improve and allow for uninterrupted growth. ⸻ 🌱 Day 13 – steady growth continues, with pest control measures soon being implemented.

MistaOC 17.08. Update – Day 19 • The plants are looking excellent and are standing strong “in the juice” with vibrant, lush green leaves. • Growth has been steady and vigorous over the past week, with no signs of nutrient issues or stress. • Structure is developing nicely, and the overall impression is very healthy. ⸻ Pest Situation • Unfortunately, the thrips problem is still present. • While the plants remain strong and unaffected in terms of growth for now, visible signs of thrips activity continue. • Beneficial nematodes have been ordered and are expected to arrive on August 20. They should provide a natural and lasting solution to this issue. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Until the nematodes arrive, I will continue to monitor the plants closely and manage the pest pressure as best as possible. • With their strong current condition, the plants seem resilient enough to handle the situation until biological control is introduced. • Looking forward to seeing a reduction in thrips activity once the nematodes are applied. ⸻ 🌱 Day 19 – plants thriving, only the thrips remain as the final obstacle before smooth sailing. ——————————————————- 19.08. Update – Day 21 • The plants are developing beautifully and continue to grow strong thanks to the Biotabs system and the simple Only-Water method. • Leaves are a deep, healthy green and the overall structure is compact yet vigorous. • Growth has been steady, with no signs of nutrient-related issues. ⸻ Pest Situation • The only downside so far remains the thrips infestation. • Despite repeated treatments with neem oil, the thrips have not been fully controlled and activity is still visible on the leaves. • As a next step, I will introduce 5 million beneficial nematodes tomorrow (20.08.) to fight the thrips naturally and directly in the soil. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • With the nematodes arriving tomorrow, I expect to see gradual improvement in pest control over the coming days. • Aside from the thrips, the plants are thriving and clearly benefiting from the stable organic feeding system. • The foundation for a strong vegetative phase is now firmly in place. ⸻ 🌱 Day 21 – vigorous growth under Biotabs & Only-Water method, with biological pest control about to take over against thrips.

MistaOC 21.08. Update – Day 23 • Yesterday (20.08.) the beneficial nematodes were applied as planned to combat the ongoing thrips problem. • Application went smoothly, and now it’s time to give them a few days to establish and start working in the soil. • The plants themselves are looking very strong and vigorous, continuing to benefit from the Biotabs Only-Water method. ⸻ Training • Today, all ladies were topped above the 5th node. • The cut was clean and the plants were healthy enough to handle the stress easily. • This step should encourage bushier growth. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Over the next week, I’ll be watching closely to see how the plants recover from topping and how the nematodes affect the thrips population. • With their current strength and resilience, I expect fast recovery and continued healthy development. • If the thrips issue comes under control, the grow should progress without further major obstacles. ⸻ 🌱 Day 23 – nematodes applied, topping complete, and the ladies are set up perfectly for the next stage of growth. —————————————————————— 26.08. Update – Day 28 (Week 4) • Four weeks are now complete, and the plants are slowly beginning their transition into the flowering stage. • Overall, the garden looks fantastic – healthy leaves, strong stems, and vibrant growth. ⸻ Plant Development • Guava: Showing much larger internodal spacing, giving them a more stretched structure. • Apricot: In contrast, these remain very compact and dense, with short internodes and a bushier appearance. • Both phenotypes look very healthy and vigorous, each with their own growth style. • The Biotabs nutrient system continues to shine here, keeping everything balanced and stress-free. ⸻ Pest Situation • The thrips issue is still present, but the situation is clearly improving. • Since the introduction of nematodes, the pest pressure has started to decrease. • While a few thrips remain visible, the overall impression is that the problem is finally getting under control. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • The next days will bring a clearer onset of flowering, with the first pistils already visible. • I’ll continue to monitor the thrips situation closely, but signs are positive that the biological control is taking effect. • With strong growth and healthy plants, the stage is set for a promising flowering phase. ⸻ 🌱 Day 28 – Week 4 finished: compact Apricots, stretched Guavas, healthy across the board, Biotabs doing great work, and thrips finally losing ground 😎.

MistaOC 29.08. Update – Day 31 • The flip is complete: all plants have now officially transitioned into flowering. • Differences in genetics are clearly visible – some plants are taller and more stretched, while others remain more compact. • Despite these variations, all ladies are in excellent health, showing strong growth and vibrant green leaves. ⸻ Pest Situation • The thrips problem continues to improve since the nematodes were applied. • While there are still a few thrips present, the overall pressure is noticeably reduced. • If necessary, a second round of nematodes will be considered to fully bring the situation under control. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • The start of the flowering phase looks very promising, with all plants well-prepared for the next stretch. • Structural differences between the phenotypes may result in an interesting variety in bud formation later on. • Everything is running smoothly overall – healthy growth, steady development, and pests slowly being pushed back. • Once again, a big thank you to Biotabs for keeping this grow simple and effective with their Only-Water nutrient system. ⸻ 🌱 Day 31 – the flowering stage has begun: healthy plants, genetics showing their traits, and thrips slowly but surely coming under control.

MistaOC 04.09. Update – Day 37 • The grow is progressing well and everything is running according to plan. • Three of the four plants are thriving with no visible issues, showing healthy structure and steady flowering development. • One plant, however, is showing slight deficiency symptoms. To counter this, I will begin supplementing with Bio PK this week. ⸻ Pest Situation • The thrips are unfortunately still present. • To strengthen biological control, I have today introduced Amblyseius cucumeris and Amblyseius swirskii. • These predatory mites should help suppress the thrips population more effectively in the coming weeks. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • The transition into flowering is now fully underway, with buds continuing to form. • With Bio PK added to the regimen, I expect the slight deficiency to be corrected quickly. • The new predator mites should establish themselves soon and bring the thrips problem closer to a final solution. • Overall, the grow remains on track, with strong development and only minor issues being addressed. ⸻ 🌱 Day 37 – steady progress, slight deficiency handled with Bio PK, and a new line of defense against thrips with predatory mites. 09.09. Update – Day 42 • The grow continues much as before – overall, things are moving along steadily. • Today I applied Bio PK at a dosage of 10 ml per 1 L water to support flowering and correct potential deficiencies. • Most plants are doing well, but one Guava is struggling. She seems to be either nutrient-blocked or showing stronger deficiency symptoms. For now, it’s a matter of close observation to see where this leads. ⸻ Pest Situation • The predatory mites (Amblyseius cucumeris & Amblyseius swirskii) are still active and hanging around in the grow. • However, I have the impression that the thrips population is currently increasing rather than decreasing. • There is much more movement visible on the leaves compared to before. • At this point, it’s a waiting game – hopefully, the predators establish themselves and start to turn the situation in the coming weeks. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Flowering is progressing as expected, and most plants remain in strong health. • The coming weeks will be crucial: stabilizing the Guava and getting the thrips population under control. • Despite the challenges, the overall outlook remains positive as long as the pest issue doesn’t escalate further. ⸻ 🌱 Day 42 – Bio PK introduced, one Guava under observation, and thrips still testing patience while predators settle in.

MistaOC 11.09. Update – Day 44 • The plants are now well into flowering week 3, and overall development is looking strong. • Bud formation is coming along nicely, with a structure that already promises solid production later on. ⸻ Feeding • I am following the Biotabs feeding schedule exactly as recommended. • Today’s application per plant: • 1 g Bactrex • 20 ml Orgatrex (mixed into water and given as a soil drench) • The plants seem to appreciate the organic support, and bud building is progressing well for this stage. ⸻ Plant Health • Three of the four plants are in excellent condition, with no visible deficiencies. • The Guava in the back left continues to struggle – showing signs that could point towards calcium/magnesium (CalMag) shortage or possibly phosphorus deficiency. • This issue appears isolated, as all other plants are thriving. ⸻ Pest Situation • The thrips problem remains a major challenge. • The population seems to be increasing massively, though I keep wondering if some of what I’m seeing could actually be the beneficials (predatory mites) rather than thrips. • Still, the amount of movement on the leaves is extreme, which weakens the plants overall. • Despite this external stress, the majority of the plants are pushing through and staying vigorous. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Flower development is on point for week 3, which is very encouraging given the pest pressure. • The next days will show if the predators are settling in and helping reduce the thrips numbers, or if additional measures might be necessary. ⸻ 🌱 Day 44 – strong bud development and healthy progress overall, one Guava under pressure, and the thrips situation still demanding patience and close observation.

MistaOC 21.09.Update – Day 54 • We’re now deep into flowering, and unfortunately the thrips problem has not improved. • On the contrary, the population has completely taken over and has had a strong negative influence on this run. ⸻ Pest Situation • Despite thorough cleaning before the run and multiple measures during the grow (Neem, Nematodes, Predatory Mites), the thrips kept spreading and finally took control. • The infestation has weakened the plants noticeably, reducing their potential and overall performance. • For the next cycle, I will need to take even stricter preventive steps to avoid a repeat of this issue. ⸻ Plant & Bud Development • Even though the plants were heavily affected, the buds themselves are still relatively solid: • They are compact, firm, and nicely structured. • The terpene profile is very appealing, with a rich and delicious aroma. • Yield will certainly be lower than expected, but there is still a chance for a satisfying end product. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • This run shows how devastating thrips pressure can be, even under careful preparation. • Nevertheless, the buds are giving hope for a decent harvest in terms of quality and flavor. • The plan now is to finish strong, harvest what can be saved, and then prepare carefully for a fresh, hopefully pest-free start. ⸻ 🌱 Day 54 – Thrips have dominated the run, but compact buds and great terps keep the outlook positive for harvest quality.

MistaOC 28.09. Day 61 Pest Situation • Unfortunately, the thrips problem has not improved. • They are still present in high numbers and continue to affect the plants. ⸻ Harvest • Today both Guavas were harvested after 61 days. • The decision was based purely on trichome maturity, not on the thrips infestation. • Trichomes were at the exact stage of ripeness I personally prefer, making it the perfect harvest time. • Buds are now drying far away from the grow space to minimize risk of pest transfer. ⸻ Remaining Plants • The two Apricots are still standing. • Based on current trichome development, they will likely need about one more week before harvest. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • Even though thrips remain present, I am satisfied with the Guava harvest timing. • Buds look dense and healthy, with promising terpenes. • The focus now is on finishing the Apricots and then preparing for a fresh start without thrips in the next cycle. ⸻ 🌱 Day 61 – Guavas harvested at peak trichome ripeness, Apricots still standing, thrips still present.

MistaOC Harvest • Today, both Apricots were harvested at Day 67 (October 4). • The buds turned out thick, dense, and beautifully structured – exactly what I was hoping for. • The aroma is incredibly sweet, almost like fruit jam, with an intense, mouthwatering scent that fills the room. • Visually, the buds look super frosty and absolutely gorgeous – a great way to end this run. ⸻ Overall Impression • Despite the constant battle with thrips throughout the grow, these Apricots finished strong and healthy, showing excellent bud development. • The structure, smell, and stickiness clearly show that the genetics and Biotabs system still performed impressively under pressure. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • With all plants now harvested, it’s time for a deep clean and reset before starting fresh. • The next run will definitely benefit from everything learned here – especially regarding pest prevention and environmental control. • Even with setbacks, this harvest shows that resilience and proper organic feeding can still lead to quality, flavorful buds. ⸻ 🌱 Day 67 – Apricots harvested: thick, jam-scented, frosty buds to wrap up the run beautifully.
