Growtendo64 ab: ⸻ Planted on 18/08, today (22/08) my Auto AK-47 XL (Divine Seeds) has broken through the soil. She’s growing as “Budshot Betty” in a 50×50×140 cm tent under a SF-1000D, currently dimmed down to 40W for a gentle start. Medium: BioBizz Light·Mix, pot size: 11L fabric pot. I’ll keep her under 24/7 light until the first signs of flowering, then switch to 18/6 for the rest of the run. She’s already being trained directly into a SCROG net at 20cm height to maximize structure and yield. The goal: a clean SCROG grow to bring out the full potential of this strain for the contest.

Growtendo64 This week she got watered twice with about 80 ml, applied in a circle around the stem to encourage root spread. The first round included a drop of Root Juice. She has been kept under a dome at stable ~70% RH. I’m a bit surprised how twisted the first leaf pairs look. For now, I’ll wait another week to see if the next set of leaves develops normally. If not, this run might find a quick end.

Growtendo64 The first two leaf pairs still came out quite deformed, which worried me at first. I’m not sure if it was stress, genetics, or something else. I decided to give her another chance and the next leaf set looks healthy, so she’ll stay in the game. Under 24/7 light she remains very compact, with barely any space between nodes. Despite the rough start, the new growth looks strong and promising. This week she was watered twice: first 80 ml plain tap water, later about 200 ml with a little Root Juice and a few drops of Bio·Grow to ease her into vegetation.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty started to show more strength this week. After a rough beginning with deformed leaves, the new growth now looks healthy and compact under 24/7 light. I reduced the lamp from 40W to 30W to encourage a bit more node spacing (currently ~1 cm). She was topped above the 4th node on day 20, and handled it well, looking strong and ready to be trained into the SCROG soon. Feeding has started with Advanced Nutrients, with Iguana Grow, Ancient Earth, and CalMag (BioBizz) added to her watering.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty continues to look strong and compact. After topping above the 4th node and some light LST, she is shaping nicely for the upcoming SCROG. This week she stayed on the Week 3 feeding schedule: 1L with OG Organics Grow (3 ml), Ancient Earth (2 ml) and CalMag (1.5–2 ml). I decided not to increase the dosage further, as I noticed slightly lighter tips – a clear sign that she’s right at the edge of optimal feeding. Better to keep her steady than to push too hard. The structure looks healthy, internodes remain tight under 20/4 light, and she seems ready to transition into flowering soon.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty officially entered flowering this week. First pistils showed on the 21st, so I switched her feeding to the bloom schedule: Iguana Bloom, Ancient Earth, Big Bud and CalMag. She now receives 1.4 L per watering. On the 22nd I removed a few fan leaves below the net, and on the 23rd I switched the light cycle to 18/6 to match the new phase. Training continues with gentle SCROG positioning. I keep the nutrients steady, only slightly reducing CalMag to avoid pushing her too far, as some very light tip burn had appeared earlier. Overall she looks healthy, compact, and ready to stretch into the net.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty spread out nicely into the SCROG and now all tops are heading upwards. She took the increased watering volumes well – up to 2.2 L per feed – and responded strong. I did notice the very first signs of yellow tips, which tells me she’s right on the edge of nutrient tolerance. Because of that, the next watering will be plain water, and afterwards I’ll reduce the feed a little. Overall, she’s healthy and looking ready to stack flowers.

Growtendo64 On Oct 6 I did some defoliation, removing lower fan leaves and small bud sites under the screen to open airflow and light penetration. Two days later she was watered again with the same gentle Bloom ratio and looked fantastic, strong, vibrant, and perfectly filling the SCROG net. Overall, Week 3 was all about stabilization after the flush and fine-tuning her nutrient balance. The canopy is even, pistils are forming fast, and she looks perfectly on track for a healthy, resin-rich mid-flower stage.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty is in full bloom now and looking stronger than ever. This week was all about maintaining balance — consistent feedings, stable light, and controlled growth in the SCROG net. After the earlier flush she bounced back beautifully, showing lush green leaves and dense flower sites forming all across the canopy. I kept her on a moderate feeding plan to avoid excess: • Iguana Juice Bloom – 3 ml/L • Ancient Earth – 1.5 ml/L • Big Bud – 1.5 ml/L • CalMag – 0.8 ml/L Light intensity was increased to 100 W at 30cm, giving her around 650–700 µmol/m²/s PPFD — perfect for mid-flower. She handled it easily with no signs of stress or burn. By the end of the week her structure was solid, pistils stretching and stacking nicely. The canopy is even, buds are filling out fast, and she’s starting to release that classic AK-47 sweetness in the air.

Growtendo64 Week 5 – Balanced Bloom & Nutrient Adjustment (16 Oct – 23 Oct) Budshot Betty keeps pushing forward in mid-bloom. The canopy is full and even, and the buds are starting to bulk up nicely. I kept the light at 100W / 32cm, which gives her great intensity without any stress signs. At the start of the week she received plain water (2.7 L) to reset the medium a bit and let the roots breathe. After that, I returned to her regular feeding but slightly modified the mix because I noticed a few small rust spots on some leaves. Since I can’t check pH directly, I decided to lower the nutrient strength by about 25% from the manufacturer’s chart. Current feed (2.7 L water): • Iguana Juice Bloom – 3 ml/L • Ancient Earth OG Organics – 2 ml/L • Big Bud OG Organics – 1.5 ml/L • CalMag (BioBizz) – 1 ml/L She looks healthy and vibrant again — the rust hasn’t spread, and the leaves stay strong and green. The buds are swelling, pistils multiplying, and the smell is getting more intense every day. Overall, a calm and balanced week focused on stability and prevention rather than pushing too hard.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty keeps going strong in mid-flower. This week I kept her under the same 100 W light at 32 cm distance, and she’s handling it perfectly. On Oct 25 she was watered with 2.7 L including: • Iguana Juice Bloom 8.1 ml • Ancient Earth 5.4 ml •.Big Bud 4.0 ml • CalMag 3.0 ml She looked stable overall, with only a few yellow-red spots appearing on some leaves, so I decided to observe her for a few more days before doing any flush. On Oct 27 she received 2.7 L of plain water + 2.7 ml CalMag only, to balance the medium and help the leaves recover. By the end of the week (Oct 29 – 31) she remained healthy and strong. The rusting didn’t spread, and color stayed consistent across the canopy. The buds are swelling nicely and trichome development is clearly visible. Overall, a stabilization week — letting the soil breathe, re-balancing calcium and magnesium, and keeping nutrient levels moderate before the final push toward late bloom.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty entered her 7th week of bloom showing strength but also signs of salt buildup in the soil. Early in the week I finally got my new pH and EC meter, which revealed what was going on beneath the surface. Her feeding mix measured pH 6.4 / EC 1982 µS/cm, while the runoff was extremely high (EC 6830 µS/cm, pH 5.96) — a clear sign of accumulated salts. To correct this, I flushed the substrate with 3 L of nutrient solution (lightly dosed) followed by another 3 L of plain water. After this reset, on November 6th she received a very mild feed (EC 759, pH 6.27) with only 3 L water + 7.5 ml Bloom, 6 ml Ancient Earth, 1.5 ml Big Bud, 2.4 ml CalMag. The runoff came back with pH 6.37 / EC 5450, still high but trending down — proof that the soil is slowly clearing out. The plant herself stayed healthy and vibrant through it all, showing no burn or deficiency, just steady bud development. The flowers are swelling, color deepening, and she’s clearly back on track for the final days.

Growtendo64 Budshot Betty entered her final week of bloom with strong momentum. The buds kept swelling, showing a clean structure with good airflow through the SCROG. This week was all about the final flush, stabilizing the medium and letting her ripen naturally. I watered her only with pH-adjusted water, starting with 3 L at pH 6.32 / EC 280, followed two days later by 2.3 L at pH 6.35 / EC 123. The plant responded perfectly: no new spots, no burn, just steady color fade and dense, resinous flowers. Trichome development accelerated a lot this week. Most heads turned fully milky, and the first 10–15% amber appeared — exactly the window I was aiming for. The purple fade intensified across the sugar leaves, giving her a beautiful finish. On the last day of this week she received her final watering with 2 L (pH 6.37 / EC 115). I also reduced the light to 65 W to ease her into the final days before harvest. She looks fully on track for harvest in about 3 days. Sticky, loud, frosty, and carrying that signature AK-47 punch.

Growtendo64 After 84 days from sprout and 55 days of flowering, Budshot Betty reached her perfect harvest window. During the last week the trichomes shifted from mostly milky to around 10–15% amber, exactly the ripeness I was aiming for with this phenotype. The purple fade intensified, the buds swelled even further, and the terp profile became noticeably stronger and sweeter. To ensure the cleanest possible smoke, she received only pH-adjusted water in the final days: • 3 L (pH 6.32 / EC 280) • 2.3 L (pH 6.35 / EC 123) • 2 L (pH 6.37 / EC 115 – final watering) For the last 3 days I reduced the light intensity to 65 W, helping her finish without stress or foxtailing. Before chopping, she spent 19 hours in complete darkness, which helped tighten the resins and deepen the terpene expression. On harvest day she carried dense, resin-heavy flowers with a sticky crystal layer and a beautiful mix of green and purple tones. Structure stayed open enough for excellent airflow thanks to the SCROG, and her classic AK-47 punch is definitely present in both smell and trichome density. Budshot Betty is now drying in DryFerm bags, and the aroma already suggests a strong, spicy-sweet profile typical for AK-47 XL lines. Overall: A very satisfying run with a resilient plant that handled training, SCROG and minor salt issues extremely well and finished right on schedule. Drying phase now in progress – curing comes next!
