So here we go. Holy Smoke Seeds sent me some Banana Ice Cream. She will be my Indica entry for a competition. She has a sister plant from Barneys Farm ( Laughing Buddha) Fun Times.... She dropped in 4 hours and cracked her shell at 14 hours and into a moss cube for 24 hours. Now she is in her 1 gallon pot. She hasn't broke the surface yet. Next couple days we will see. She is in soil#2 from Oregons Only. I'm mixed some extreme gardening azos & mycos into the soil and coated the hole with great white myccroriza. Then I gave a 150ppm solution of micros and a touch of bloom nute since there is nothing in the soil. 8-9 week veg 8-9 week Flower. At least that's my plan. She will be grown with Veganics.
Going strong. Gave her her first feed. Set ppm @ 400s and ph to 6.2. I k ow that's a little on the high side, but it seems using these veganic nutes, thats what the plants like. There is a huge learning curve from using chemical nutes vs veganic. There is a Organite pyramid in there to help diffuse the emf. Nothing new, just starting to veg. She will be manifolded to 8 colas, maybe 16 if that's were 10 weeks of veg gets me.
She is veging out beautifully. She has a beautiful shade of green going on. Going to start her training this week or next week. Going to veging her out for 9-10 weeks prior to flower.
She really started to grow this past week. She is going to be a nice Bush by the time she is done. I'm going to let her veg a nother 4 weeks before her 9 week flower cycle. Going to top her again sometime this week or next. She seems to like to branch out if topped. Nothing new really to report. Healthy, and no issues or deficancys.
On to week 6 of veg and this girl is getting lanky. So training was in order. All off her branches have been streached out. She has some rapid growth going on. I'm using a BestVA LED 1000watt (EQUIVALENT) True wattage is around 180. It is heavier in the blue spectrum as well. She likes elevated cal-mag and lower ph. Might ending up putting her to flower in week 8, depending on how big she is. Going to do some more pruning and training in the meantime. I also added MicrobeLife vitamin and aminos & all-in-one to the mix this week just so they can get those rare elements and broader aminos that the nutrient might lack.
Transplanted and moved to the flower tent with her sister. She got a generous coating of Extreme Gardening Mykos & Azos along with Great White Myccroriza when she was transplanted. She has been very picky with nutes as well. Doesnt like anything over 500ppm and loves Cal-Mag. Ph needs to be around 5.9-6.0 as well. Super excited about this one, Banana strains are my favorite.
It's a full time job trying to keep the canopy at the same hight. This girl is getting her streach on something fierce. I did a basic prune and defoliation. Upped her ppms this week to 700's to help with the streach. Pre-flowers are showing up everywhere. She is on the right track.
She is getting to be a nice size plant. Huge nodal spacing for some big buds hopefully. She started to drain some of her leaves of PK so I added some PK booster from vegamatrix. She is kinda finicky with feeding as of late. Doesnt really like over 5-600ppm and nutes have to be rationed just rite. It's kinda of annoying, considering her sister plant, Laughing Buddha has no deficancys or issues with amounts of nute she needs. Every plant is different so....Non the less she is going to be a beautiful plant.
Coming into the 4the week and she is drinking up nutes, streach started to slow down, non the less she is going to be a beast of a plant. Huge nodal distances. Hopefully girls out well. She is thirsty for PK as well. She has eaten about half her water/fan leaves. I just doubled her nute intake from 700s to 1300ppm. Stigmas are exploding everywhere.
So I have a Potassium lock out going on. It is most likely due to the cal-mag from Vegamatrix having high levels of sodium. I flushed the soil this morning and I going to switch back to GH cal-mag. Never had an issues with General Hydro. Her growth slowed a bit, I'm going to flush her till the end of the week at an attempt to salvage her. Her sister plant dosnt seem to have an issue with it. Maybe it's just the strain.
So I decided to let her go....she had a potassium deficiency that she couldn't recover from. I did my best to try to fix the issue to no avail. Flushed the soil. Boosted the PK and gave her some iron but still no bueno. So off with her head. I'm kinda sad about it, but sometimes plant just have issues no matter what.
