I squeezed the clone rooting and new growth process into my first week of new diary. Clones Ceres and Diana on day 19 in the chamber. Both have taken to soiless coco medium and are drinking up solution. Humidity is being kept high (85%) and chamber temp is at 72.3(F) . 4/22 last update before moving to week 2- I saw good root action coming out of containers so I took clones out of said containers and transplanted them into the 5 gal containers. Ceres is looking better than Diana at this point. Will up nutes in solution today then move onto week 2.
Ceres is growing better than Diana. I am getting used to watering in coco medium and I think I put too much solution in the container. Lots of solution drained out bottom. I guess one liter is too much for now. Still wish the coco pH would come down. Don't know what to do about that. Hopefully I will get my new 1200W LED this week and that could help.
Very busy week. Completed three upgrades to chamber. 1. Got new 1200W COB LED light. Bright sharp light. 2. Got new Humidifier which has a built in hydrostat and is set to 55%. 3. Got a Autopilot APC8200 CO2 controller and can now inject CO2 automatically based on set range around 1300PPM. The CO2 is injected to chamber with the intake fan on and it seems to hang very well. At night I turn the exhaust fan on to make it cooler for dark period. Hopefully growth will increase this week. Also started LST with both.
The CO2 and new light have created a monster in Ceres. Branches are thick and the node count is off the charts. The amount of growth over the past week has been incredible and I am already ready to switch to 12/12. The first CO2 is already empty and I think it had a leak at the spout. I put a washer in it before attaching the second tank and it is working as expected now. I will keep doing CO2 for first week of flowering and see what happens. I defoliated a lot of sun leaves from Ceres because she had almost too much growth.
Great week of overall growth: Branches getting a good stretch over sun leaves canopy. Pistil growth has kicked in with branches having many nodes. The canopy now takes up the diameter of the grow chamber. I tweaked the solution because leaves were growing light green and after a week of new solution mix they seem to have taken to it. Have been playing Fugazi and Nirvana on interior speaker and also raised the light 6". They also have a beautiful scent and I am wondering if the chamber will still handle covering the smell. The living room is right above my basement grow room and you could always smell it in the past but I had no problems the last to times because I used the ABLE Grow Chamber and the plants were small. The plants from this grow are twice the size I was able to achieve in my last two grow due to the upgraded COB LED and the CO2. I water them in the morning with .5L of solution and another L when I get home from work. Will keep this watering schedule till time to flush. Have counted 20 mini colas from two plants. Will defolite one final time today to clear sun leaves that are shadowing potential bud growth.
6-2 Nice week. Plants grew slow due to final leaf trimming. Getting nute burn on tips of new leaves, nothing major but I cut FloraGrow out of the solution mix. The smell is starting to get better and the bud growth below the canopy is impressive and speaks to the power of the new light.
6-6 I lowered the FloraMicro and FloraBloom by 5ml in the solution. Still feeding 1.5L solution a day and Trichs are starting to form.
Mission Day 78. Buds are starting to merge into each other and they are getting fatter. Lowered the nutes in the solution to bring the PPM down to @ 1000.
Growth continues. Buds are starting to fill out and have started to see some pistils turning red. have lowered the nutes in the solution by a small amount and CO2 has been lowered. AND I did not put it back into Veg. It just tagged it that way and I can't change it.
What's great about coco is you can time your flush pretty easily. the nutrients actually get flushed really effectively in coco, so you can flush with plain tap water for 7 days tops to with additives and get the chop done in 3/4 days tops... if you really want to make the plant suffer, then just go longer. Actually it also depends how many times a day you water, the more times the shorter the flush - makes sense? hope this helps ! 🚀
Buds continue to fatten and the smell is beautiful. Red pistils are starting to show from bottom buds. Some leaves are starting to get pale green. They are listening to Nirvana and Fugazi.
Lowering the nutes in my solution. Think I am getting foxtails so I raised the light and have the temp steady at @ 74 degrees. lower pistils are getting red but tops are still white, hopefully raising the light will help.
Started flush. Mostly white trichs with small amount of amber. Will harvest on Wednesday and hang them up in an open tent. Will wet trim the big leaves and let dry for 7 days then cure for three weeks. If I learned anything from this grow is to defoliate the lower buds more. My canopy was great but I had a lot unusable immature bud. This is my third grow using my A.B.L.E. Grow Chamber and it was the best. Hoping to get about 5 ounces worth of dried bud.
Very happy with the grow cycle of this strain. I had no problems during the grow and it was a pleasure to work with. Using CO2 tank really kicked it up a level. I learned that I need to defoliate the bottom third in the future because i had a lot of undergrowth that was unusable but the top buds were dense and well coated in trichs. Very happy with my progression as a grower and the A.B.L.E. Grow Chamber.
