Day #12 -
Day #13
Gave both plants a feed to 20% runoff.
Day #14
Noticed some weird symptoms, and especially concerned about the slow growth of the Cookies. Noticed a very damp, stale spot around the stem of the Gorilla and the stem is looking weak. After I had watered, I noticed the pots were sitting damp due to my choice of pot tray even after allow the water to drain for 20 minute before putting them back on the tray. Going to revisit and implement some changes to try to improve air flow inside the tent.
I have folded over the sides of the fabric pots to ensure air is reaching the top layer of Coco, mounted the fan backwards directly beside the plants to hopefully blow some fresh air over the stalk and flipped over the trays so that the pots have space between the bottom to allow air to get beneath the pots.
Day #15
My Boveda 62% arrived so I can finally settle the battle of the Hygrometer. Hoping that the more expensive Bluetooth device is the more accurate. I've set both in a sealed bag with an 8g boveda 62% pack. Will leave for 24 hours. ThermaPro shows 44% going in, the Govee showing 70%.
I also purchased a second fan, a large tray for the bottom of the tent, some metal plant trays that should allow air to get underneath the pots and some bungees to remount both fans.
I have realised my exhaust fan is not powerful enough, at just over 60CFM/ 103m3. I'm going to order one closer to 200CFM with variable speed to allow me to create some negative pressure.
Day #16
I decided to remove the carbon filter until my fan arrives to improve the airflow. This has made a huge difference, the air in the tent feels much fresher.
Have a fan blowing just above the plants downwards to blow lightly across the whole plants and Coco surface, folding the excess of the pot down seems to have helped a lot. The floor is now a drain tray, and I have the PC fan active intake blowing fresh air from outside directly onto the bottom of the dray beneath the pots.
Temps have gone from 24c to 9c outside this week (lol), so temps with lights on are a comfortable 73f. With the cooler weather, I have to close the window slightly and suck the air from the room instead at night. This keeps temps just under 73-4, with the radiator on in the room, lights on. Temps at sitting at 70f with lights off for 4 hours during the day - 1 PM - 5 PM
The weak stem caused the Gorilla to sort of self LST. I helped it along by adding some twine.
Changed to using the Lucas formula, as the Gorilla is showing some early signs of Nute burn and the Cookies is slightly yellow on the new growth. Going to up the dose of CalMag. Fed both plants 1.5L of Lucas/CalMag using spring water.
Going to start feeding 1.5L once per day from now on. Watering is hard!
Day #17
Both plants are looking much better in the new environment. I would love to grow in this environment! Going to water Lucas/CalMag after lights are back on at 5 PM. Hopefully, I've nailed the setup and it should stabilize from here on out.
The Gorilla has turned back over nicely after tying it down. New growth on both plants is almost vertical.
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a AK-49 Auto and a Northern Lights Auto myself, check it out if you can ! I wish you the same success. Good luck with the rest of your grow.
