NoVC01 SETUP
4’x8’x6’6” grow tent
2 - 6” 420 cfm fans (in/out)
2 - clip fans (circulation)
2 - 15-amp surge protectors
(1 for fans/heaters, 1 for all fixtures, UVB timer and UVB)
2 - mini space heaters (winter)
1 - portable AC (summer)
This journal chronicles the grow, and monitors equipment performance.
The room housing the tent is blacked out. Behind the tent a window has been covered with plywood and holes drilled to accept 6” diameter screened vents for fan ducting. Fans are ceiling height. Added to the intake is a downward duct to drop fresh air to the floor.
All electrical devices in the tent and room are powered by a single 15-amp household circuit. Includes a portable AC unit and mini heaters as needed. Everything powered on, Did Not trip the 15-amp circuit nor the 15-amp surge protectors.
Lights - California Light Works (CLW) - Solar System 550’s (3 total). Lights are chained via rj11 data cables to a CLW-Controller.
Allowing, manipulation of the light spectrum at different RWB (red, white, blue) percentages and for various stages of plant growth. The controller is mounted outside the tent. From “sprout to finish” one can pre-program the controller for an entire grow. The light fixtures do not chain. That means a lot of cordage gets tied up out of the grow area, as can be seen in the picture. Hanging height shown is 36” from the floor. Attached to the two outside light fixtures are CLW - UVB kits (2 lights each, 4 total).
Soil - Kellogg Organic Plus - raised bed and potting soil. Containers 2” coconut coir seed starting pellets and 5-gallon fabric grow bags.
Nutrients - FoxFarm Trio - (Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom) and Botanicare Cal-Mag. Using, FoxFarm’s “Soil Feeding Schedule” (last page). Water Ph 6.0.± adjusted with PH Down.

NoVC01 Feminization
Week 10 Day 1, 4 0f 7 plants exhibiting female pistils. The shortest of these will be “reversed” to male using a 30ppm Colloidal Silver spray. If successful collected pollen will be used to produce feminized seed from a selected female for breeding.
Wk 11 Day 1 begin colloidal silver 30 ppm spray to main branches of selected female to be reversed.
Wk 11 Day 3 increase Red to 69% (wk 11 day 3); decrease Blue to 79% (wk 11 day 3). Continue collodial silver spray. Requires a great amount to spray each session. Estimating in order to have the amount needed 1 gallon 0f 30 ppm CS should be sufficent.
Wk 12 Day 1 heaters off. AC running as needed during afternoon. Starting 2nd week of collodial silver spray. Last of Wk 4 extended nutrient feed (see last page) before flipping lights to preflower wk 13.
End Of Growth Program -
Week 12 Day 7, 18 hours on, canopy height 24” . Controller settings as shown. Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each. Average plant height 16”.
All plants showing pistils. Mid-front plant in process of reversing. Last day collodial silver spray before resuming normal growth.
This day start Day 6 watering at ½ gallon per plant. Prepares Day 1 nutrient feed for soil to retain more liquid. Hence plants better absorb nutrients throughout plants.
