"I was strolling the other day and came across a rebellious garden growing outside the borders of the empire, I decided to stay... to sow resistance!"
Autumn is here, and I'm starting a new growing season.
This seed germinated in 24 hours, then I moved it to a small pot with a peat-based substrate mixed with a bit of worm humus and moistened with spring water and Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) in liquid form. After four days of life, I started giving this and the other seedlings 24 hours of light; for now, I'm using two 35w LED panels, one with blue light (450nm) and the other with white light (7700K)... let’s play!
I don't know if this seed is regular or feminized, which makes me a bit insecure, but Congolese varieties are very special to me because it's the weed I started smoking at a young age, and I'm always trying to recover those smells, flavors, and effects. Will this seed be the one that transports me back in time?... let’s play! 😁

Third week of life for the most vigorous seedling!
Yesterday I transplanted it to an intermediate 1.5L pot because I think the seed is regular, and starting next week, giving it time to settle in the pot, I want to speed up the sexing of the plant to see if it's male or female; if it's male, it will be executed immediately.
What I'm going to do is switch the plant to 8 hours of light, and as soon as I confirm it's a female, I'll switch it back to 20 hours of light. I've never done anything like this, but it might work.
But this Congo plant won't be alone in the process; while organizing some cables a couple of weeks ago, I found a seed among them. I suppose it's from some cross from last season since I got a lot of varied seeds due to an infiltrated male from a Brazilian Sativa. I couldn't resist putting that unknown and abandoned seed to germinate, and it definitely found a spot in my garden, germinating in less than 24 hours... all for the cause.

Fourth week of life for the most vigorous seedling!
Today, without further delay, I’ve started these two regular plants on a 10-hour light schedule to speed up sexing and identify males and females. The males will be executed at dawn, and the females will return to the big game... all for the cause!
I suspect that the great vigor and growth of this plant might be signs of a budding male, as males show more vigor and height than female plants. Males want height to spread their pollen as much and as well as possible.
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. CHEERS AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

Fifth week of life for these two plants born from regular seeds!
It's been a week since I changed the light schedule to 10/14 hours; I'm looking for a quick sex determination for these plants. So far, there are no signs, but this week I hope to clarify the situation. If any of the plants are female, I'll switch them to the current garden light schedule of 20/4 hours to try to revegetate them. If there are males, they will be annihilated. 😈
Yesterday, I did the apical cut on the seed I found on the ground. The morphology of both plants is different; Congo stretches out, while the unknown seed grows much more compact and branched. I'm hoping it's a female.
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. CHEERS AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

Sixth week of life for the Congo plant, the other turned out to be a male.
— “This is not a garden for males”
It dawned with a verdict. After nine days of reduced light, the verdict fell: the unknown seed, that intruder born among wires and coincidences, showed its true nature. It was a male. A vigorous, arrogant male. I executed it at dawn, without ceremonies or regrets. In this garden, there is no space for those who don’t know how to bloom.
And while one fell, the Congo plant raised its green flag: confirmed female. Good for her, wild daughter of a distant land that now takes root in my rebellious soil. I transplanted her to her new home, a twelve-liter pot, old school, with an elevated base and homemade lateral aeration.
Now I will subject her to a 24-hour light cycle, a luminous madness, to convince her to return to vegetative growth. I promise her rest when she deserves it: 20/4 will be her new schedule when she decides she has remembered how to grow. This is my first attempt to revegetate a plant… the experiment is underway, and the garden watches.
After the transplant, I tied each branch carefully and maliciously. I want to slow her vertical impulse, not out of cruelty, but to teach the plant to multiply, to look sideways, to be more than a straight stem challenging the sky.
I watered the new substrate with 1.5 liters of acidic mix — spring water, molasses, and Activated Mountain Microorganisms. A living potion. A liquid spell to awaken hidden life.
The male fell. The female resists.
And the garden, rebellious as always, continues to play at being free.
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. HEALTH AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

Seventh week of life for this landrace from Congo.
Fully back to vegetative growth 20/4 hours, this big plant is making up for lost time, the branches are multiplying in search of light, water and nutrient consumption is increasing, and best of all, the leaves are thin and elongated, spider leaves, I love it. 😍
To curb the height growth, I have multiple ties on the branches, especially on the two upper ones, where I've made a quirky curve with folds and ties, definitely taming a landrace sativa is serious business! 😁

Eighth week of life for this landrace from Congo. Almost three weeks since transplanting and four weeks since the apical cut.
This sativa is dominating the scene and is ready, if I let it, to fill my entire grow tent! 😁
The growth this week has been magnificent, it has grown 20 cm and the side branches are multiplying without restraint, all of them striving to get closer to the light! 😋
Water consumption has skyrocketed, nothing can hold this plant back, I keep it in the center of the grow tent, in the spot with the most intense and varied light spectrum. All this to try to rein in this sativa, because for me, it's not easy at all to tame landrace sativas in my small growing area.
Today I finish the vegetative growth period for the entire garden, tonight I change the light schedule, switching from 20/4 hours to 12/12 hours. For now, I’ll keep the same type of lights as in the vegetative growth to slow down the last vertical stretch that will occur due to the schedule change, a multitude of white and blue lamps will illuminate every corner until the plants complete their final stretch, then I will change the entire color spectrum and intensity scheme and switch directly to summer lights: yellows, oranges, reds, IR... etc. 😍
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. CHEERS AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

Ninth week of life for this landrace from Congo. Almost four weeks since transplanting, five weeks since the apical cut, and one week since switching to 12/12H.
There’s a tangle of branches completely bent with makeshift ties everywhere in an attempt to tame this wild sativa; it’s not easy, the morphology of thin branches sprouting everywhere and reaching eagerly for the light forces me into this torture... all for the cause! 😈
This strain definitely has its own personality; I don’t know what kind of buds it will produce, probably light and airy so the thin branches can support them, but who knows 😍. To ensure good hardness and elasticity of the branches in the near future, I’m going to give it an extra dose of soluble silica, although I must say my substrate has a lot of silica from the rice husks and the little twigs I’m adding to the mulch.
Yesterday, the second and last addition of the dry amendment mix for vegetative growth. From now on, I’ll prepare another mix for flowering, with guanos and bones dominating the mix, replacing the feathers, blood, and others I used in this stage.
This season, I’ve maintained, so far, a collection of cheap lamps with good and varied spectrums, but I think it’s time to replace several with much more intense and penetrating LED panels. I’m only going to keep the 3 blue COBs at 450nm this week, which I hope will be the last week where the plants stretch, and this light slows down vertical stretching a bit.
With the change in schedule and the drop in temperatures, the plants are consuming less watering water, but the rate is good. However, during this transition to flowering, I usually water with very mild mixes so as not to disturb the plants in this major hormonal change... let’s play! 💃😍
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. CHEERS AND GREETINGS TO EVERYONE!

- Tenth week of life for this landrace from Congo.
- Almost five weeks since transplanting.
- Six weeks since the apical cut.
- Two weeks since the switch to 12/12H.
• Pre-flowering has begun! 😋
The plant keeps growing; I tie the new branches improvising and in a desperate mode.
Flower formation has started, and they are very different from what I'm used to; the phenotype reminds me of old, wild plants...
At the beginning of the week, I made an important change to the lights in the tent, disconnecting several cheap panels of: 7700K, 6500K, and 3000K, which consumed 130w. In exchange, I've connected two 100w panels in the canopy, both with good spectrum and penetration. Additionally, I've arranged the 3 COBs with blue light (450nm); I will keep these lamps until the plants stop stretching. I hope that in the coming days, the garden will definitively leave behind the spring light and enter full summer with color spectra: reds, oranges, and yellows... let’s play! 💃😍

- Eleven weeks of life for this landrace from Congo.
- Almost six weeks since transplanting.
- Seven weeks since the apical cut.
- Three weeks since switching to 12/12H.
- Four days since I replaced the last four spring lamps (450nm and FS) with yellow, orange, and red ones (3000K, 2700K, 1800K, 660nm, IR), my rebellious garden is in full summer!
- And three days ago, I made the first addition of dry amendments, with a special mix for flowering, meals, guanos, minerals, organic raw materials so that the life in the substrate can solubilize them for the plant... nothing can go wrong! 👊
Well, what can I say about this plant monster, wild and untamed, branches and more branches are popping up everywhere, I bend them with anarchic ties in an attempt to control the height, but in response, the plant gives me new vigorous branches, desperately seeking their share of light. Meanwhile, this African Queen occupies the center of the grow tent, receiving the entire collection of color spectra and the maximum light intensity on her tips. A multitude of floral buds beautify the grow and promise an unprecedented floral development for me... let’s play! 😋 The water consumption for irrigation remains very high despite the low temperatures of this delayed autumn.
From now on, I’m changing the type of soluble feeding for my entire garden; during the vegetative growth, I’ve let the plants feed basically from the substrate, I’ve added microbiology massively, and bio-nutrients composed of vitamins, hormones, and some minerals, always in small doses. At the end of the stage, I add some bio-nutrients with nitrogen or amino acids to the irrigation mixes; the plants in vegetative growth don’t need a wide variety of nutrients, just the right NPK in considerable amounts, but now in flowering, this changes radically. Now, the variety of minerals is essential to expand; in my case, I ensure that none of the elements from the periodic table are missing, as the plant requires them to develop its full potential. The presence of these minerals favors all the action of microbiology and the complex enzymatic processes; of course, the addition of PK is indispensable, mainly potassium... ultimately, what is achieved is a stimulation of the minerals represented by the developing plants. 🤓
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. HEALTH AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

I give up! 🙃 I declare myself unable to tame this monstrous sativa! I've been tying and bending non-stop the countless protruding branches, while the plant keeps sprouting new and new vigorous branches, growing non-stop. The plant has declared itself the undisputed Queen of this clandestine garden. This week it has continued to grow and has already surpassed a meter in height. I have the lights at their maximum available height, and the multiple top colas are barely 2-4 centimeters from the lamp. I’m protecting them with plenty of airflow beneath the LEDs. I'm going to try to come up with something to raise the lights a few more centimeters.
The plant, however, demands more and more water and food; it eats everything! 😍 And now generously, the lower and older leaves are giving up their nutrients and moisture, falling exhausted to the substrate to continue the cycle of life! This plant knows no limits... let’s play! 👨🌾

Fantastic plant and moments that the undisputed Queen of this clandestine garden gives me, dozens and dozens of branches and buds are popping up everywhere. The metabolism is very high, the nutrient consumption too, I give it everything it asks for! 😍
Yesterday I received a new Chinese lamp of 85 W. A beauty of 55 × 10 cm that fits in the back center of the tent as if it were made for me (or for my obsession). With it, I replaced a 3000K panel and a 2800K COB: surgical changes so that all the plants receive light from all sides, with nice summery and uncivilized spectrums.
I light up without mercy. 🤣 My garden is a small factory where life breaks through the light: more energy → more photosynthesis → more water and nutrients → tighter buds → more trichomes defending the kingdom. And so everything flows… 💦💡
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. CHEERS AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

deFharo Welcome, marijuana growers! 🖐️ 👨🌾
- Fourteen weeks of life for this landrace from Congo.
- Almost nine weeks since transplanting to a classic 12L pot.
- Nine weeks also since the apical cut.
- Six weeks since switching to a 12/12H schedule.
- Five weeks since flowering began... 😬
True to its untamed and rebellious character, the plant continues to grow, this week another 8 centimeters, and that's despite having dozens of branches tied down.
Flowering buds are popping up everywhere; it's clear this plant is going to need many weeks of flowering. I can't imagine when the flower buds gain volume; it's going to be a sight! 😛
The central lamp that lights this plant is almost at the maximum height I can manage, today I’ll raise it another 4cm, which is my limit. I have 3 plants that have surpassed a meter in height, but I have four smaller ones; I raise them on pedestals to bring them closer to the lights so no photons are lost along the way.
This week I've increased the moisture volume in the pot; the plant appreciates the increase in watering in the substrate, keeping it permanently hydrated and allowing it to easily feed from the entire substrate.
I've also made the third application of dry amendments to the substrate, a varied mix of guanos and meals rich in phosphorus, potassium, and microelements, organic matter that microbiology always appreciates, breaking it down and feeding on it, while the plant naturally assimilates the nutrients at its own pace. The plant looks magnificent, with no signs of deficiencies or excesses.
At the same time, I feed the mulch with each watering, using old and exhausted leaves, to preserve moisture at the top of the substrate, providing organic matter and any remaining nutrients and minerals, thus completing the cycle of plant life... this garden wastes nothing! 😋
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. HEALTH AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

deFharo Welcome, cannabis growers! 🖐️ 👨🌾
- Fifteen weeks of life for this landrace from Congo.
- Almost ten weeks since transplanting to a classic 12L pot.
- Ten weeks since the top cut.
- Seven weeks since the light schedule changed to 12/12H.
- Six weeks since flowering began... 😬
This is the Queen of the season, the one that rules the height of the lights, the one that sets the pace, the one that dominates the center of the playing field. The floral buds are advancing everywhere, some leaves are falling, making room for more light, for more flowers. 😍
Winter week of rain, wind, and cold, everything gray outside; inside, light, warmth, and peace. 👨🌾 Winter has arrived unannounced, but my rebellious garden is living in full summer, surrounded by intense lights, yellows, oranges... reds peeking over the artificial horizon, trying to imitate the August sun with dignity, but it's just that, an imitation. ⛄
I'm trying to boost the small branches and lower buds; two days ago, I did a foliar application on those lower branches, using my Bio Fertilizer made from green coconut water with Efficient Microorganisms. Coconut water contains a multitude of minerals, vitamins, etc., and hormones: cytokinins, which are what I'm interested in now, to give a boost to those branches and lower buds. 😍
We are in the second stage of flowering, although there are still many important weeks ahead, as the producer warns of a flowering period of 16-18 weeks, and I want the plant to continue its evolution calmly, as it has so far; I don't want to force them to eat more than they can handle. There are enough nutrients and minerals in the substrate to process/decompose, as I made the last addition of dry amendments a week ago. This week, I've continued watering with various mixes using my soluble Bio Fertilizers. I prefer, both for myself and for the cannabis plants I grow, small doses of very varied foods rather than gorging on two or three components (NPK). 🍅🍆🥒🥔🥕🍏🥗 But this coming week, I'm going to decrease the nutrient dosage so the plant doesn't get overwhelmed and can eat what it can from the substrate; there's a lot of play ahead.
As a curiosity, I've been observing for a long time that the water consumption for irrigation increases a lot when the irrigation mixes are softer (-EC). I weigh the pots daily and know exactly how much water the plants have consumed; this led me to reflect and change my previous growing habits, where I forced the plants to eat, and although the food I give them is always organic, the plants can also get overwhelmed and end up showing too many signs of excess in the leaves, mainly at the end of the grow, and I don't like that! 💦
And finally, I've decided to pay a fitting tribute to my clandestine garden, which only brings me joy and beautiful moments, a tribute of light energy; I'm going to give it one more hour of light = more photosynthesis. Two days ago, I increased it by half an hour, and in 3-4 days, I will increase it by another half hour until reaching 13 hours of light. Everything is little for these female plants; they are happy producing flowers and more flowers for me! 🌼🌼🌼 Currently, I have a total consumption of 730w for seven plants, spread across 11 lamps, 6 in the canopy and 5 on the sides... I'm cracking up, I'm a total Nerd! 🤓 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡
I wish you all a Happy New Year! 😍

Hahaha! 🤣 The beast, the Queen, the bent Congo sativa, finally ready to grow in my little clandestine garden, resigned to not increase its height, is now focused on growing dozens and dozens of delicate floral buds. This plant has made me suffer with its excessive growth, but from now on, it’s my turn...
According to the producer, the plant has a flowering period of 16-18 weeks 😍, --I’m cracking up 🤣-- for sure this plant will end up alone in the grow tent, and I’m going to give it light as if it were in the Congolese tropics, humidity and heat so it doesn’t miss its original jungle... let’s play! 😁
After 3 very light waterings, without soluble nutrients, aimed at enhancing the consumption of nutrients from the substrate, I’m going to start with mixtures of my organic Bio Fertilizers. The plant is forming many tails, so I’m going to give it some organic boost that it’s asking for! 😁
This season I’m going to alternate, from now on, waterings with varied bio nutrients, with others just with spring water with regulated pH. So far, the average pH in my watering mixes is: 6.23, my living soil likes the acidic environment... me too! 😈
At the same time, I’ve decided from now on to remove the molasses from the watering mixes. This component, essential for me, has already fulfilled its role throughout the cultivation, and now the plant doesn’t need "extra sugar," just to consume what’s left in the substrate and what the plant sends to the roots.
And finally yesterday, with the last watering, I made the fourth and final addition of dry amendments to the substrate, a mix of guanos and organic meals (1g x L), the plant and the microbiology of the substrate appreciate it... a dessert worthy of this tropical plant! 😁
I wish you a Happy New Year 2026! 😍
😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME. HEALTH AND GREETINGS TO ALL!

Theoretically, this plant is halfway through the flowering period, and it will be on its own for the last weeks in the grow tent, and I'm going to give it light without mercy; I want huge sativa buds everywhere.
At this stage of flowering, the plants have lost leaf mass, and light penetration is better; there’s more space in the grow tent, and I can position the pots with more freedom, and all the plants appreciate it.
I water this plant deeply every three days, alternating light mixes with heavier ones, but in no case do I exceed an EC of 1.2... there's still a long way to go! 😵

I’m still trying to tame this wild sativa, it keeps growing and I have the top lamp at maximum height, so I’m bending branches and doing what I can. 🤷♂️
The cold of this time of year, unexpected for this African tropical strain, has caused the stems to be completely tinted purple, the cheerful flower buds are following suit and are also starting to show color... these are beautiful moments! ⛄
When this plant is alone in the grow tent, I’m going to unleash all the ties, to discover what’s hidden inside that wonderful tangle of branches with dozens and dozens of flower buds... let’s play! 😍

I'm having a power struggle with this plant, this week I've harvested two of the seven plants of the season, now the Congo plant occupies the center of the grow tent, the spot of 4 seven-liter pots, the central lamp is at its height limit. When it was left alone, I started to untie dozens of wires that I've used to try to tame this wild sativa, I was thinking of spreading the branches of the crop, but it got so tangled that I had to put a stake to keep it straight and I've tied some branches back up.
In the meantime, I've organized the lamps, I've rotated and placed vertically a lamp of 55cm x 10cm, which until now was in the canopy, lighting sideways in the center of the grow tent, right towards the Congo plant. I've disconnected a small 3000K panel and 43w that was in the center. As I harvest more plants, I'll direct more light onto the crop.
I really like the structure of this plant and the formation of buds, it's been a while since I've handled a truly pure sativa, I understand that this is not a plant for indoor grows, but still, it's going to be an epic grow.
This week three gentle waterings, done with the slowness the plant deserves, the development convinces me, there are still weeks of growing left... let's play! 😍

This great plant from Congo wants to live longer, it needs to 🤐 Even though it has gradually lost good company in the grow tent, in return, I now direct more light onto it and it stays happy. It is the Queen, and I am her servant, I take care of her with great care and affection, I do very varied waterings with moderate EC loads, this week new dry amendments added to the substrate... Long live my Queen! 🧔

The Congolese Queen shines from her altar surrounded by intense lights!
The canopy of buds is getting heavier, forcing me to put in stakes and ties to keep her straight and upright.
The peculiar buds make me doubt the timing of the harvest, although I'm not considering that for now.
Now, as this plant moves toward its glory, I'm going to dedicate this week to preparing for the next season.

😁 HASTA LA PRÓXIMA. SALUD Y SALUDOS PARA TODOS!

@deFharo, What a beautiful way to close a chapter. 👑🌿
Your words give this plant the respect she clearly deserved after such a long journey. 25 weeks of life and 18 weeks of flowering for a Congo landrace is truly something special — patience like that is rare these days.
I love the image of freeing her from all the ties before harvest and letting the branches stretch one last time. That moment must have been powerful.
Sometimes the perfect harvest moment isn’t about trichomes or density — it’s about the rhythm of the garden and the next generation already waiting. The cycle continues.
Congratulations on finishing this incredible run.
Long live the Queen, and good luck to the next generation. 👑🔥🌱
@GoodTimesOrganics, Thank you. I'm going to harvest this Queen today, though I'm not entirely sure if it's the right time, as the buds are quite unique.
@Tower84, Thanks! I've grown several sativa landraces; they're my favorites. I have a Mexican one planned for next season, but this Congo isn't for indoors—it grows way too much!
