TrickzCutz The strain came as a freebie with the order.
I usually don't like earthy terps, but let's see... maybe it tastes good anyway. It wouldn't be the first Gorilla strain I've tested.
Its 420 somewhere.... :D
TrickzCutz Today I checked the tent and saw that the Gorilla Melon had toppled over.
I propped it back up with a wire, as that shouldn't cause her any problems.

TrickzCutz They look really good and healthy. Aside from a few spots on the leaf.
TrickzCutz Topped to make space since my grow tent is only 40x40 cm. Now she can start developing new shoots.

TrickzCutz You can definitely remove the small yellow leaves at the bottom by now. Otherwise, she's doing great and the 4 main stems are at the same height.

TrickzCutz She has grown 2cm taller again, even though I want to keep her small. She will definitely explode when she gets repotted.

TrickzCutz It's already grown a whole 35cm tall, and that's despite it being such a small "pot." It's slowly time to repot.

TrickzCutz The Gorilla Melon is holding back on vertical growth again and has developed many lower shoots. To give the lower shoots a chance for the stretch, I removed the large fan leaves.
I sprayed neem oil preventively because I saw a few friends.
Spray mix every 2 days.
Today, the light will also be switched to 12/12.

TrickzCutz Today was quite eventful. The already very bushy Gorilla Melon was defoliated and lollipopped today. I raised the SCROG net about 5 cm higher.

TrickzCutz It's just beautiful to see how the buds keep swelling and hardening. I last fertilized a week ago, and since then I've only been watering. No matter where I look, there are shimmering trichomes. The last week is now running, and every day I check the amber-colored trichomes. After that, I'll leave it in the dark for 2 days before hanging it up to dry.
A very frosty genetic! Absolute dream for every washer! Very nice bud structure, even the buds that have hardly seen any light. I'm super satisfied with her!

TrickzCutz The Gorilla Melon has now been in complete darkness for 2 days and will be chopped today and hung up whole. I'm already curious to see how the buds will look once dried.
@DrGruen, I already got to try the Gorilla Melon from my neighbor, and the smell really reminds me of Gorilla Z from Fastbuds, but unfortunately, I'm a bit blind when it comes to the taste 😜 I'm curious to see if it has such a smooth effect on me as well.
@Schafe1001, yes, the Gorilla Melon as the name of the cross was protected by Fastbuds. It's a normal flowering time for photos. I had mine in for 9-10 weeks. My pheno would definitely have been ready for harvest by week 8 as well. It really depends on what phenotype you get. And how you like your trichomes.
@TrickzCutz, lol I zoomed in on a few of your flicks. One thing I know about fast buds is the gorilla crosses are really resinous and or oily. Up close that gorilla melon looks oily., lol. Dense and chunky also on that note.
Absolutely stunning end result! Those buds are absolutely gorgeous with incredible crystal coverage. The whole grow looks immaculately dialed in. What would you say was the most important factor for achieving this quality? Would love to apply your insights to my own grows! 💚
@wolfvb, thanks a lot! The most important thing with SCROG is how well you lollipop! Since absolutely no light comes through the SCROG down below, it's worth removing a lot from the bottom. This way, the buds up top can get super thick. Next time, I'll do more lollipopping.
