Squidwich For germination, soaked seeds in water with splash of peroxide for 24 hours. After they cracked opened slightly, placed seeds in wet paper towel in humidity dome for 24 hours and finally placed in peat pucks to start day 1. 50% nutes started on day 6. * Can't enter grams / gallon in nutrient table up top but this should be a constant: 4-18-38 (2.4 grams/gallon) + Epsom Salt (1.2 grams/gallon) + Calcium Nitrate (2.4 grams/gallon) ** Switching to MasterBlend from Jacks 3-2-1 for this grow since it's cheaper. Wanted to go full hydro or maybe try out autopots but will stick to what I know for now.

Squidwich 9/21/2025 - V14 - Forum Stomper x HubbaBubbaSmelloScope (FSx) so far is growing faster than Double Grape (DG), but just hope they remain about same size. Nutrients at 50-60% strength. * Bonus pic with additional herbs are being grown hydroponically using the kratky method and same nutrients as our 2 plants. They'll stay in same tent until no more room for them.

Squidwich 9/28/2025 - V21 Not sure if I got a dud in the double grape (DG) seed. There's a missing branch on node 3 and, with regards to height and width, is being outpaced by Forum Stomper x Hubbaforgotrealname (FSx). Both plants are currently growing node 6 and going to top there, and also probably remove the bottom node. Original plan was to have 8 main branches with 2 bud sites each, so basically 16 buds for each plant, but with the DG plant missing branch on node 3 not sure yet. Both plants now receiving full 100% nutes. Topping and LST for next week. * Plant companions update * Basil has bolted, and it never did look as healthy as the others. so probably did something wrong with her. Have to take her down now. Germinated some bok choy seeds for first time! Excited to grow it after seeing hydroponic video on it. They're only going to be tent for little while until ready for new home in hydroponic tower.

Squidwich V28 - 10/5/2025 Looks like pre-flower pistils evident on both plants so for this grow we'll say flower starts tomorrow. Topped both at 6th node earlier this week and followed with LST and mild defoliation. Ideally would have wanted to top 2nd time but maybe too late for that? Also, have a scrog net if needed, but that would block light from the smaller companion plants. FSx currently at 8.5" and DG at 6". ** Companion plant update ** Bok choy seedlings doing ok with 50% nute strength. Not sure how much longer they'll be in tent. Most of the dill plant is much paler than I'd like and the leaf edges of the Thai basil look burnt, but the cilantro is showing great growth and I got to taste test some today with some ramen! These plants are sharing the same 20/4 light cycle as the MJ plants so this can't be too beneficial for them. Grok said it could lead to early bolting so we'll have to watch out for that too.

Squidwich F1 - DAY 35 - 10/12/2025 Lots of LST tweaking this week in attempt to get branches all spread out evenly. This is much easier on the FSx plant since her branches are longer than the stubby DG plant. Removed bunch of leaves from bottom and areas not getting enough light. Top of plants getting 35000 lux according to light meter app. Going to have to move the tent companion plants out this week to other tent. Have to transplant the bok choy seedlings but new home isn't ready yet. Currently, tent smells overwhelmingly like cilantro.

Squidwich !0/19/2025 - Day 42 - F14 One more week of flower stretch? FSx now 3" taller than DG and might have to prop DG plant on something so heights will match. Moved companion plants into other tent (20"x26"63") and transplanted bok choy seedlings into new 7 gallon container for Kratky method.

Squidwich F21 - Day 49 - 10/26/2025 Decided to ask Grok what nutrient schedule should be for Masterblend, Armor Si, and Cal Mag and the devised table is included in photo for this week. So new plan for this grow is to follow this schedule. Already started it earlier this week and both plants look great with maybe a little nute burn on DG. Also, both plants got a big defoliation and more LST tweaking. Screwed the LST on DG a bit, and branches so uneven. Think I'd be lucky to get 1/2 the yield of FSx based on how its looking now. In tent #2 news, think everything but the bok choy is bolting so they're getting the chop soon. Weird growth pattern with the bok choy in the 7 gallon, and don't know why 1 row has big fat leaves and other row is skinny. Going to try to make next grow of cilantro a bit more bushier.

Squidwich F28 - Day 56 - 11/2/2025 FML. Spider mite infestation in tent #2, and, because those backup bok choy plants in bottom of primary MJ tent were infected, now MJ plants are probably fucked soon. I sprayed entire tent #2 down with peroxide /water mix (25/75) as suggested by grok, chopped everything down there and going to go nuclear in that (empty) tent with neem and captain jacks deadbug. Don't know how it got so bad in a week. So all infested tent companions now gone and MJ plants stand alone versus the impending mite horde. No sign of the buggers in primary tent yet, but I expect them to make their presence known soon. Still researching options. Other than this, buds on DG plant looking frosty and FSx is pretty sticky already. Hope we get to see these buds through to harvest!

Squidwich F35 - Day 63 - 11/9/2025 Bought some insecticide and fungicide liquid concentrate called Dr. Zymes to stop the still undetected spider mite infestation in tent. It's expensive af, but I was desperate and this stuff seems to be highly regarded. So, mixed it at 5ml Zymes to 500 ml water and used as foliar spray at lights off in the tent for 3 nights in a row. From here to end I'm supposed to spray once a week, but depending on how big buds get I'm probably not doing that. Still sad to lose tent #2 over those dope eating insects but primary tent seems fine. At F35, FSx is 30" and DG is 24.5" measured at tallest colas. Using Photone app to measure ppfd, top of FSx is at 1150 and top of DG is at 950 ppfd. According to app, the DLI is 70-80 and the ideal range is 45, but the plants look fine so leaving as is for now. Might have to start the dehumidifier for the grow soon which I'm reluctant to do since it runs so loud.

Squidwich F42 - Day 70 - 11/16/2025 They're both pretty thirsty now and drinking a gallon / day. Buds are still on the skinny side, but floral smells are coming through now, and few weeks left in grow. With humidifier running, lung room is at 35% humidity, but even with tent exhaust at max, tent humidity usually 15% higher. Now sure how to drop it further. Maybe stronger exhaust fan? Please don't bud rot! I've had that before in previous diary and it's like a kick in the balls and waste of months. I did do a final spray of Doctor Zymes for the mites just to be sure. Still not sure if I'm supposed to do a bud wash when harvesting because of Zymes or is it good to go?

Squidwich F49 - Day 77 - 11/23/2025 Really hope they plump out a bit more bc so far it's slim pickings. Maybe should have used the dry kool bloom?!? Still following the nutrient schedule that grok suggested and earlier this week reduced calcium nitrate from 2 g/gal to 1.7 g/gal. This caused the drop in nitrogen causing the leaves the fade, and it's probably more apparent in the FSx plant than the DG. First time doing a defoliation this late in flower. Everything was getting a little too close in the tent and humidity still averaging 50%. 2 more weeks?!?
