Germination

GeekWeed My method for germination is to soak the seeds in water for 6 to 12 hours before I put them directly into the substrate. I added a tiny amount of mycorrhiza (Greenhouse Feeding Enhancer) to the water to create a symbiotic root zone as quickly as possible. Next I place the pots in a mini greenhouse to keep humidity high (80%). The substrate is moist but not wet! SanLight is at 25% with 60cm distance to the canopy. Light schedule is 24h.

GeekWeed Gave them just a little bit too much water. The pots are at 100% of their water capacity (around 200g each). SANlight is still at 25%.

GeekWeed Plants are recovering from over watering. Transplanted into 13x13x13 pots. Substrate is a 50/50 mix of my initial recipe and Canna Coco Pro. I guess the supersoil is still too hot for the plants in its current development cycle.

GeekWeed Final transplantation in 12 liter pots using supersoil. I also added soil moisture sensors and drain sensors. Now that the root system has developed, my irrigation system automatically takes care of watering. Light and irrigation schedule is based on the well known crop steering phases: P0 (lights on/warmup) at 17:00h no irrigation P1 (stacking) at 17:50h irrigation every 12 minutes a 3% shot until drain is detected (5-7 shots) P2 (hold) around 19:20h irrigation every 45 minutes a 1% shot. P3 (lights off/night) at 11:00h time to dryback until next P1
