Lowbuds π Divine Seeds Black Opium Auto β Full Moon Germination π±
Competition: Divine Seeds 2025 Global Autoflowering Competition Vol. 2
Method: Budget micro-grow, small space experiment (80Γ40 cm)
βΈ»
π± Germination β 05.10.2025
Started germination today under the Full Moon β good timing for strong roots and steady growth π
The seed is resting between two plates with moist paper towel, sprayed lightly with water + a touch of HβOβ to keep it clean and oxygenated, sitting in a warm place on top of the lamps.
This will be my second Divine Seeds entry, following Divine Rapier Auto.
Keeping the same cheap, simple setup under QP-50 full-spectrum lamps, but making a few key tweaks this round:
βΈ»
βοΈ Setup & Goals
β’ Tent: 80Γ40 cm
β’ Light: 2Γ QP-50 full spectrum panels
β’ Pot: 10L fabric pot (smaller than last run to fit one extra plant)
β’ Medium: Living soil (Terra Victoria) β first time trying a biologically active substrate
β’ Watering: New automatic drip irrigation system (experimental, fully budget-friendly)
β’ Nutrients: Minimal feeding β mainly relying on soil biology + teas if needed
β’ Training: Still deciding β possibly light LST if structure allows
β’ Goal: Showcase a compact, efficient autoflower in a living soil setup, grown on a tight budget
βΈ»
π§ Notes & Intent
Black Opium Auto seems like a mysterious, indica-leaning cultivar with some serious bag appeal potential.
Iβm curious to see how it behaves in a smaller pot and living medium β this run will be all about balance, sustainability, and simplicity.
Letβs see how she responds to moon energy, microbes, and the new drip setup ππ§

Lowbuds π± Week 1 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
The Black Opium Auto seed popped through the soil this week π
A small, steady sprout β about 2β3 cm tall β quietly settling into the Terra Victoria living soil.
She came up smooth after the HβOβ-assisted germination, showing a pale, healthy green and no signs of stress.
Iβve just been keeping the top layer slightly moist with a fine spray and testing the automatic drip system for the first time β only a few drops to check flow.
No real feeding planned; the living soil should handle the first stage on its own.
This run follows the same simple setup as the Divine Rapier Auto, just scaled down to a 10 L pot to make room for another plant beside it.
So far, everything feels calm and balanced β the seedling is responding well to gentle light and stable conditions.
Started this one right under the Full Moon, and the vibe fits: quiet, rooted energy.
Next week should bring the first set of true leaves and the start of some real personality. π±

Lowbuds πΏ Week 2 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Week two, and sheβs showing real promise already.
The second set of leaves is pushing through nicely, with tight spacing and no unnecessary stretch β just a sturdy little frame forming. The stem looks strong and confident, holding itself upright without support.
Iβm keeping things simple: a light daily spray of plain water to keep the topsoil alive while the deeper layers finish βcooking.β The Terra Victoria living soil is doing its thing β slow, steady biological activation.
No nutrients, no additives, no interference β just letting nature balance itself out.
The automatic drip system stays off for now until roots explore a bit more. Environmentβs stable, light distance feels right, and the overall vibe is calm.
So far, Black Opium Auto seems grounded, focused, and ready to build momentum. If she keeps this pace, next week should bring the first signs of structure and character. π±

Lowbuds πΏ Week 3 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Steady growth this week.
The second set of true leaves is now open and reaching out, and sheβs sitting around 10β12 cm tall β compact, balanced, and well-structured. The stem remains thick and sturdy, with no stretch or stress showing.
Iβm still not watering yet, since the living soil stays evenly moist and active. Just a light daily mist on the surface to keep the microbes awake and prevent the top layer from drying out. The roots are clearly expanding on their own rhythm, so Iβm letting the soil do the work.
Light intensity and spacing feel dialed in β no leaf curl, no signs of hunger, just healthy green growth. The Terra Victoria mix seems to be carrying the seedling perfectly so far.
Overall, a calm and balanced week.
Sheβs taking her time but building a solid foundation β quiet progress, just how I like it. π±

Lowbuds πΏ Week 4 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Week 4 and sheβs still growing with that same calm, controlled energy.
The third node is in, fourth on the way, and the structure is staying compact with a solid central stem. No stretch, no stress β just a healthy young plant taking her time to root in properly.
Still no real watering yet β the Terra Victoria living soil is holding moisture beautifully. Iβm only misting the top layer when it looks dry, letting the biology take the lead instead of the bottle.
The pot is finally starting to feel lighter, so the first real watering + drip test is coming soon.
Color is a clean medium green, leaf posture is relaxed, and thereβs no sign of deficiency or burn.
The 10L pot looks like a good choice so far β enough room to build, but small enough to keep control in the 80Γ40 space.
No training yet, but Iβm watching the growth pattern.
If she keeps a single strong top, Iβll just guide the side branches out slightly and leave it at that.
So far: minimal work, zero issues, smooth week. π±

Lowbuds πΏ Week 5 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Black Opium Auto is moving into her stride.
Color is rich and even, the leaves are wide and healthy with that deep, lively green that shows the living soil is doing its job. Growth has been steady, no issues β just quiet, balanced progress.
Sheβs keeping a nice compact shape with solid internode spacing. The main stem is thickening up now, and the new growth in the center looks clean and strong. No signs of stress, no tip burn, no fuss.
Iβm still holding off on full watering β the Terra Victoria mix is staying perfectly moist, so I only spray the top when it starts to dry out. The soil life seems active and stable, no smells or algae, just that earthy tone that says things are balanced below the surface.
Lights are steady, environment calm. Sheβs starting to show the confidence of a plant ready to build mass.
If she keeps this pace, pre-flower should start showing soon.
So far: zero problems, nice color, healthy rhythm. π±

Lowbuds πΏ Week 6 β Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Still no pistils this week, but sheβs clearly building up for the shift.
Growth is compact and controlled β a sturdy little structure with tight internodes and a nice amount of fresh growth stacking in the middle. The main stem has thickened up well, and she looks ready for shaping.
Color is spot-on: healthy, even green, no stress signs anywhere.
The Terra Victoria living soil continues to stay naturally damp, so Iβm still not doing much watering. Up to now sheβs been using about 1 liter of water per week total, mainly through very light top-ups and surface spraying. The pot stays evenly moist deeper down, so no need to drench anything yet.
Iβll be starting LST soon β just a gentle bend on the main stem to open her up and push the side branches outward. With how compact she is right now, a small adjustment should make a big difference in shape.
Overall: stable, healthy, compact, and getting close to that pre-flower moment.
Probably just a little more veg stacking before pistils show.
Next week should be interesting. π±β¨

Still no pistils and no stretch this week β she continues to stay super compact and squat, exactly like she has since early veg. The structure is dense and tight, but sheβs looking very healthy: deep green leaves, zero stress, zero drama. π
Iβve now started LST by gently bending the main as she grows. Since she stayed so low, the bending helps open her up and let some light into the inner growth. Sheβs reacting beautifully β no resistance, no droop, just steady progress. πͺπΏ
Watering remains minimal: around 1L per week, as the living soil stays damp for days. No need to increase yet.
Overall: healthy, vigorous, squat little tank β just taking her sweet time before showing pistils. ππ₯

This week I finally started proper LST, gently bending the main stem to open her up and keep that squat structure productive. She reacts super well β no stress, no droop, just a stronger, wider frame. πͺπΏ
Andβ¦ first hint of a pistil spotted! πβ¨
Not a full declaration yet, but the very first white hair is peeking out. After weeks of veg mode, sheβs clearly warming up for the transition. Exciting times ahead.
Watering still low β around 1L per week, soil stays consistently moist so thereβs no need to push it.
Strong, healthy, compact, and now finally showing the first sign of flower ππΈ
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for these slow-building but promising genetics! ππ±

Lowbuds Week 9 β Black Opium Auto π±β¨
This week she officially entered pre-flower! Pistils are starting to pop and thereβs finally a bit of stretch after staying compact for so long. The structure is opening up nicely thanks to the earlier LST β sheβs still low and controlled but clearly shifting into bloom mode now. πΈπ
I did notice a small trace of mildew, probably from keeping the windows open for fresh air π π¬οΈ
Handled it right away: a light HβOβ treatment on the affected spots and added a bit of PowerZyme to the water to support the root zone and keep everything clean. So far she looks totally unbothered and perfectly healthy again. ππ§
Watering stays minimal as the soil still holds moisture well. Growth is steady, color is great, and the first white hairs are officially in motion.
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for these surprisingly resilient genetics! ππ₯π±

Lowbuds Week 10 β Black Opium Auto π±π₯
Stretching is fully on now π and sheβs clearly committing to flower. Pistils are coming in nicely, tops are lifting, and the structure shaped earlier with LST is paying off β sheβs opening up well despite the tight space.
It is getting a bit overcrowded at the moment π πΏ
The bigger plant on the left is about a week late before freeing up the space, so airflow isnβt ideal right now. Because of that, Iβm still seeing some light traces of mildew on the lower leaves.
Sheβs otherwise developing really well, so Iβm not worried β Iβll be doing a more radical garlic spray treatment over the next few days to fully clean things up and reset the lower canopy.
Color and vigor are still solid, stretch looks healthy, and sheβs handling the situation well given the conditions. Once the space opens up, things should improve quickly.
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for these resilient genetics! ππ±

Lowbuds Week 11 β Black Opium Auto πΏπ₯
Big step forward this week β sheβs finally moved into a larger space and now running under two lamps, which should be much better suited for the bloom phase π‘π‘
The plant looks happy overall, with good structure and steady flower development. Iβm seeing a bit of yellowing on the lower leaves, nothing alarming at this stage. To support her through this transition, Iβll be top-dressing with a small amount of worm humus to give the soil a gentle boost π±
Watering has been increased to twice per week now, as sheβs drinking more and the environment is more open. Still keeping things simple and letting the soil do most of the work.
Really excited to see how she settles into bloom in this new setup π
π Special thanks to Divine Seeds for running the contest and sharing their genetics, and good luck to all participants β today is the last day of the competition, may the best plants shine ππΏ

Lowbuds Week 12 β Black Opium Auto πΏβ οΈ
This update comes a bit late β I was away on holidays for a few days π π΄ and when I got back, the soil was quite dry. As expected, that led to some yellowing and unfortunately the mildew has spread a bit more, especially on the lower parts.
Nothing dramatic, but definitely a reminder that consistency matters. The plan now is to give her a proper shower, followed by a garlic spray treatment to knock the mildew back and reset the canopy
From here on, Iβll make sure the soil stays evenly moist, and I may top-dress with some worm humus and living soil mix to help her recover and support the rest of flower.
Sheβs still pushing along and flowering is clearly underway β just a rough patch caused by timing and dryness. Weβll see how she responds over the next days.
π Thanks again to Divine Seeds for the opportunity, and respect to everyone who kept their plants dialed in until the end π±π₯.

Lowbuds Week Update πΏ
This week has been a bit more challenging. The plants still havenβt fully recovered: yellowing on the lower leaves is progressing, growth has clearly slowed down, and the mildew is unfortunately still present ππ.
Iβm at a bit of a crossroads right now. Iβm not sure whether the best move is to top dress with some living soil powder to help rebalance things naturally, or to step in with a more direct approach and add a bit of Green Sensation to support flowering and overall vigor. Iβll be making that call very soon and adapting as needed β listening to the plants as always.
Despite the setbacks, Iβm staying patient and focused on steering them back on track. Growing is about learning, especially when things donβt go perfectly πͺπ±
Big thanks once again to @DivineSeeds for the genetics and the opportunity to take part in this journey π
And good luck to all the other participants β may your grows stay healthy and your harvests be rewarding ππ₯

Lowbuds Week Update β Black Opium (Divine Seeds) ππ±
This week things are still a bit rough, but it feels like theyβre slowly stabilising. The yellowing is still there, though it has slowed down, and mildew pressure seems reduced compared to last week π
I removed the dried and damaged leaves to improve airflow. Buds are still developing despite the stress, which is encouraging πͺπΈ
Iβm clearly still learning and making some mistakes with living soil, especially in a small pot β timing and balance really matter here π±π§
Next step will be to add a light dose of Green Sensation with the next watering, just to support her through bloom without pushing too hard.
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for the genetics and the contest π€π±
Good luck to all participants β every run is a lesson.
@Lowbuds, Thats what I want, but I keep screwing it up. Ive bought living soil , just add to potting soil. Omg that was the run that every plant got seeds.
@UnorthadoxDude, They seem to enjoy the living soil and require minimum care, planning to put it in a brighter spot however I must wait a week or two more for the space to be free
