heis0070 Decided to try a sea of green style grow. Took a bunch of clones off a mother plant of DS-11, same cut as my previous grow. Despite a few bumps along the way with my first real cloning project, I ended up with nine rooted plants that I’ve been growing in solo cups for the past few weeks. Today I transplanted all of the plants into their final 1 gallon pots with pure canna coco media and using canna nutes. I added a BluMat drip ring and carrot to each pot after I finished transplanting and watering so they’re ready to hook up to a reservoir once they get moved to the tent. I will move them to the tent next week and flip the lights to 12-12 immediately before they can get bigger. This may be an adventure.

heis0070 Trimmed up bottom stuff from the plant this week in preparation for flipping to flower. Plants responded well to toppings last week and are still all roughly the same height. My tent space was freed up so I have just transferred them to the tent with the good light and conditions. I just flipped the light so they should begin flowering soon.

heis0070 First week of flower down. Humidity in the tent has been running higher than I’m used to, but between the 9 plants plus (relatively) tons of exposed dirt, that’s to be expected. Began adding Canna Bloom once flower formations appeared, per vendor guidelines. Top watered once a week with recharge. Cleaned up some bottom foliage that was shaded to improve the airflow and reduce humidity. I plan to be pretty aggressive with defoliation this grow to combat what I am sure will be a battle with humidity once the buds start filling in. Still working on dialing in the BluMats. So far so good, I’ve only top watered on schedule. I’ll continue to tweak water flow as needed by the plants.

heis0070 Plants started stretching hard this week. BluMats are keeping up with watering, and I continue to top water once a week with recharge. I’ve picked a few lowers off here and there, and will give a bigger defoliation next week.

heis0070 Stretch is done and buds are developing. I started defoliating a few days ago starting with the lowest growth and working my way up over a couple of days. I’ve since removed all fans that were covering bud sites, and will leave them be now. Entering the maintenance period where I just will be making sure the plants are happy.
