My first grow but things seem to be going well so far. I have four plants growing. Two germinated one day and the other two germinated the second day so there is a bit of a size difference.

The ladies are still growing well. Two are shorter than the other two and they are not the ones that germinated a day later. I assume that there may be different pheno's showing.

Unfortunately I noticed a broken branch on #3 today. Not sure how it happened but it was almost completely off of the main stem. Might have happened when I adjusted the LST. I have taped it back in place and hope it manages to heal itself. 😥 Day 38- #3 seems to be recovering from the broken branch, in fact, she seems to have liked the rough treatment! Day 41 - Pistols and trichomes. My tiny plant (#1) has the most trichomes showing. Seems a bit early? Day 42 - I did some light defoliation; removed only a few leaves that were blocking light. #3 is the tallest lady despite having the broken branch. I have some purple showing on a few stems of the plants but info from the seed bank said that this strain has some purple genetics so I am not panicking (yet).

Your plant looks very healthy for the lst you can keep it if you want but it’s not necessary the plant will not grow more she will focus on their buds now. Personally I prefer to remove the lst when the plant has finish her stretch and the canopy is even. And for the LST on auto flowers I start it when the plant is 2-3 weeks max and train her till the end of the stretch. Hope it help you

Plant #1 seems to have some discoloured leaves. Not sure if it is nutrient burn/Nutrient lockout/deficiency. I flushed her with RO water in hopes of turning things around. The other plants seem to be okay with some tiny brown leaf tips. I fed and watered them as usual and hope that they aren't going to have any issues.

Plant #1 is showing some leaf discolouration. Not sure if it is nutrient burn/lockout or deficiency. I flushed her with R.O water just in case. Any ideas or suggestions? She's an odd one anyway, seems to be a different phenotype than her sisters.

The burnt tips are a sure sign of over feeding. The dark green foliage shows excess of nitrogen. So, yes stop feeding. Actually you should have stopped at least a week ago.

3 plants are doing well since the flush but lady #1 is reacting poorly. Leaves are turning yellow quickly but otherwise seems healthy. I thought it was nutrient overload/burn but now it looks like a calcium deficiency. I'm confused. She's completely different from the others despite being the same strain with exactly the same treatment.

Day 80 - Still looking for some amber trichomes but nothing yet. Day 81 - just saw a few amber trichomes on lady #1. I didn't even think they looked cloudy yet. Day 84 - #3 watered with 1 litre of RO, no nutrients; #4 watered with 2 litres of RO, no nutrients.

Day 85 - #1 watered with 1 litre RO, no nutrients; #2 watered with 2 litres RO, no nutrients. A few amber trichomes and others are mostly cloudy. Day 86 - The pictures aren't the best but the trichomes are slowly turning amber on all plants. Hoping to be able to harvest soon. All of the plants are turning yellow, some quicker than others. Day 87 - Complete flush of all ladies. RO water and Flawless Finish. Day 89 - Waiting... Day 90 - #1 and #2 are in the dark for a few days in preparation for the harvest. #3 and #4 are still waiting. Maybe a few more days...

June 30 / Day 93 - I harvested #1 and #2 today. No idea how they will turn out but they still smell very fruity and peppery. For now, they are hanging to dry. July 8 - The drying is over; stems are snapping. It's a small harvest and as usual, lady #1 is the smallest and a little strange looking. No smoke report yet. Waiting until after the cure. Day 104 - #3 was harvested today. Started out okay and then I found seeds! Only 5 seeds so far but I'm not sure what happened. This is the plant that broke a large stem much earlier in the grow but recovered and healed herself once taped back together. I don't know if she hermied after that or what.... Wet weight was 235.57 grams. **For some reason I can't log this under harvest. The site only allows me to choose from vegetation and flower, no harvest. Day 108 - The final lady is ready fro harvest. She has spent her final days in the dark. She only ever got about 25% amber trichomes but that will have to do. She is definitely the biggest of my girls! Wet weight is 447.23 grams or 15.77 ounces. Despite her long flowering time, she didin't give me any grief and I didn't find any seeds at harvest like I did on #3. She smells very fruity and I hope that she tastes as good as she smells after curing. I will add her pics and stats to the harvest week with the other ladies to get a total for the three. This was my first grow ever but definitely won't be my last. Next grow is going to be some photos, although the diaries of Fast Buds are very appealing. Thanks for all of your help and encouragement! **We tried a little smoke after a week of curing the first 2 plants. It was very sativa-ish and up-lifting. A nice fruity smell and taste. A very nice stone with no noticeable negative effects. Day 112 - #3 is done drying and into the jars to cure. Dry weight is 48.80 grams. One plant to go. 😀 Day 116 - A couple more days to go before I will be able to weigh my last plant. I'm giving her at least 10 days drying because the buds are quite a bit bigger than on the other three... Day 118 - #4 is finally done drying and into the jars. She was 79.06 grams dry for a total of 164.39 grams for the four ladies. There was 43.28 grams of trim from the fo that I hope to use for making edibles.

Day 99 - These ladies are taking their time. #3 is using up her nutrients and the leaves are very yellow. The buds colas are skinny but seems to have more buds than the first two I have already harvested and hung to dry. The trichomes are still clear and cloudy with a few more amber ones. It would be nice if she bulked up a bit (or a lot!). #4 is even slower with a lot of clear trichomes, some cloudy and very few amber ones. The buds are becoming impressive though. I do hope she continues to add on weight and bulk. Day 101 - #3 is showing more amber so I'm putting her in the dark for 2 or 3 days and then I will harvest her. #4 is still not showing much amber at all but the leaves are starting to turn yellow. I will continue to give her plain RO water and wait... Day 105 - #4 is finally showing some amber trichomes so she's gone into the dark for a few days. I just hope she won't have seeds too. I sprayed down the tent and all tools, lights, fans, etc. with tap water and cleaned everything up in case there is pollen in the area. I didn't see any sign of pollen but I would hate to pollinate my next grow. Day 112 - #3 is done drying. Dry weight is 48.80. Into the jars to cure. 👍

#3 had seeds at harvest (5). I don't know if she is a hermi or if one of my other plants is, or if my other plants were pollinated and I didn't notice. She did have a big injury earlier in the grow. Any ideas what happened? I'm so confused and disappointed!

Hi there @THCandME What I believe happened was your plant produced a male pollen sack and pollinated the bud it popped out of resulting in the seeds you found. It's possible the pollen spread Check the remaining buds for swollen calyxes and see if any seeds are growing in them Otherwise wait and see at harvest. It's not that an uncommon thing to get a few seeds every now and again when using feminised seeds Hope is answers your Question and Happy growing

@THCandME wrote: “... I hear differing opinions and have no idea what to do.😕“ Don’t go crazy worrying about it. The reason you hear differing opinions is because of both valid personal preference, and perpetuated myth. If this is truly your first time, you’re doing fine, and each grow will be better than the last. Lots of skilled growers here to assist. One of my strong personal preferences is to grow regular photoperiods. No interest in autos. And I breed my own seeds, so I haven’t bought a seed since 2013. Good luck developing your style! Enjoy your harvest

@THCandME wrote “We're only allowed to grow 4 plants at a time here in Canada ” So glad to hear you’ll be growing photos! When the law limits you by plant quantity (we’re allowed 3&3 here - 3 veg & 3 flower), you have to beat it by growing four big bushes! And only photos allow you to control the ultimate size. Stagger your cycle and you’ll always have an upcoming harvest. Grow outdoors if possible for the biggest yield, best flavor, and a sublime, intangible high that ‘lab grown’ weed cannot achieve. Best wishes. Keep at it, Canadian friend

@growdoctordc, Thanks! I started with autos because they seemed to be a bit less finicky and would give me some practice. I already have the photo seeds for my next grow. We're only allowed to grow 4 plants at a time here in Canada so I am eagerly awaiting the harvest of this bunch so I can move on to the photos. Can't hardly wait! 😃

Well, I flushed little lady #1 due to some nutrient issues and now she is MAD! Leaves are turning yellow like crazy. I don't know if this is a continuation of the nutrient overload or if there is a deficiency. Looks very much like calcium deficiency but I don't know. The other three were flushed too and have not responded like this. Lady #1 has been strange from Day 1 so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
THCandME
THCandMEcommentedweek 86 years ago
Plant #1, which seems to be a different phenotype than the other 3, is showing lots of trichomes early on and the pistils are turning brown already! It is a much smaller plant with tiny 5-point leaves whereas the other plants have large fan leaves with 7 points. All the info that I have read on this auto strain says that there are 3 possible phenotypes that may present and flowering can take between 8 and 12 weeks. So far they seem healthy, no obvious nutrient issues.
the end.
