GermGrowFox October 14
You wouldn't believe how much I've been itching to get started again!!!
I successfully moved, one of the setups is ready, and I planted the seeds to germinate the same day after setting it up. :)
This is my first strain from 42FB, Apple Strudel is supposed to be very resistant, so I'm curious to see how it goes.

All three seeds have sprouted :)
Not much to say except that I'm happy something is growing again :D

The first mishap has already happened 😅 my lamp was unfortunately set to only 1% power and I didn't notice x) I forgot to change the egg setting on the timer.
The end result is a sprout that can barely hold itself up. But all is not lost yet.

My asparagus has perked up again. As I described last week, the lamp was set too weak and I didn't notice. It cost about 2 days, but now it's doing well again :)

Plants are doing really well. I won't be training them. First signs of flowering are already visible.
The thread irrigation is doing its job now, but I still water from the top, depending on how heavy the pot is. Despite the flood fertilizer, I mixed in a bit of Plagron in the watering trays x) let's see if I regret it.

I'm very satisfied :) it feels like they're not growing fast enough again, or I find them all quite small so far for 11l pots.
Anyone who has read my other diaries will know that I always say this 😅
The drip irrigation is doing its job and I don't have to water from above as regularly, which saves a lot of time. I'm sticking with the nutrients; they seem to be working well for the plants, despite previously feeding the substrate with Florganics.
I lightly lollypopped them yesterday and today and adjusted the leaves so that all the shoots get good light. The show goes on :)

The pictures are from yesterday. I didn't mention the size. A lot has really happened quickly now.
All three look completely different.
Only the color is the same for all of them. It's a very nice and deep dark green (see last picture). I didn't use any iron spray. I would have been curious to see how the color would have turned out with additional iron treatment.
But it is what it is. It's fun to watch right now :). I stopped using Power Buds and Power Roots, but I kept Sugar Royal and Green Sensation. I discovered a lot of fungus gnats... My nematodes have expired x) Yellow stickers and ventilation will have to do until the new ones arrive.

Yesterday, new nematodes arrived. I treated them right away.
It's getting tight up top... that was a phenomenal flowering stretch.
I'm having slight humidity issues (70%), so I'll be trimming the plants a bit more airy throughout the week.
The center has reached its maximum height and is producing flower material :).
The left and right sides seem like they still have some height to gain...

I removed the thread watering three days ago (can water daily again now 😵💫), to create more space between the lamp and the main bud. It brought a damp mess. She is now a whopping 1.40m!! (The biggest indoor plant I've ever had!) Today, the main bud of the left plant is again a few centimeters below the lamp. The lamp has also been secured higher up with wire. I hope the lady is done growing; unfortunately, I can't do much more 😅 if anyone has ideas, please let me know!
It is what it is.
The plant in the middle is the smallest, and its buds are already heavily dusting. It finished its flowering stretch first.
The right plant is the second largest and is also starting to get dusty.

I have some hot spots in the tent, at least some tips are reporting back to me.
The foliage is telling me in a few places that Green Sensation was probably a bit too much 😬 I'm going to do a light flush over the next few days.
The left and largest plant didn't like being so cramped under the lamp. I bent it slightly to the side. Not ideal, but better than before.
The middle plant is dusting a lot. The buds are still quite small, though.
The right plant looks the healthiest and has very fast bud growth.
Overall, I'm still satisfied, but the signs of over-fertilization are concerning me. It’s actually a dumb idea to use Green Sensation when the base is living soil 🙄 I love my ideas that I sometimes have 😂

Every 2 days, about 10 liters of water are divided among all three and poured into the pots.
All three are slowly losing their leaves from the bottom.
Despite all the watering, it's actually a lot of fun. The buds are growing (at least the ones on the left and right, the little one in the middle has baby buds that aren't really growing) and it actually smells very sweet, sometimes like sour apple (do you know those Big Apple candies? They're a really good reference for the smell of this plant 😂 I've added a picture of them)

The video is from yesterday, the rest of the pictures are from today.
We're nearing the end :)
All three are at very different stages of ripeness.
Since I'm quite the softie, I'm really happy with the trichome profile:
Left: relatively many clear trichomes, few milky ones, I couldn't find any amber ones
Middle: the smallest plant that started flowering earlier. It has many milky trichomes and quite a few amber ones. I hardly found any clear ones. I can imagine this lady might be a bit too much for my taste x) but we'll have to find that out
Right: visually, I like it the most! The buds and the growth structure are beautiful! The trichomes here are mostly milky, very few amber ones, and a few clear ones. This is probably how all three should have turned out 😅 I might have to influence my climatic conditions a bit more so that it balances out better.
The light is off, the pots are bone dry, and the condition will be maintained for at least three more days.
The plan is to harvest around the Christmas holidays.
I'm preparing for a long trimming process since there's already sooo much plant x)
I'll update again as soon as it's time.
Wishing you all happy holidays ❤️ enjoy your time ❤️

GermGrowFox Another grow is coming to an end and I'm very satisfied :) Updates will come as soon as it's dry and can be fermented.
But it's green asparagus, right? Tell me, Fox, where did you put the drivers for the lamp? I set up the tent, but I'm not really satisfied with my solution. What bothers me is the loss of space when they are on the floor. I don't remember where, but I once saw someone place them directly on the lamp. I find that questionable, especially since the lamps get so hot anyway.
@Kushycat, of course green asparagus :D!! Meanwhile, they're enjoying more light and the asparagus problem will solve itself. :)
I have the driver outside the tent, and the dimmer inside the tent. The driver gets super hot at the right power, so I wouldn't put it on the lamp as well. I didn't want it in the tent, just to avoid the risk of accidentally watering it 😅 I'd be happy to send you a photo/video of my setup and what I have in mind after work via DM :)
@GermGrowFox, I checked out a YouTube video yesterday where an official employee from Horti says they should actually go on the lamp, but they don’t provide screws… A bit of strange logic somehow, and why is the cold appliance plug so fucking short… I rebuilt everything today and created my own solution, basically securing it in a basket and attaching that to the frame. Sounds weird, but that’s how it is xD I’ll take some pictures if I hopefully finish tomorrow. Still, feel free to show how it looks on your end. Hey, ho, let’s go! Thanks for the feedback anyway!
@Gewaltmann, thanks, I've had them at 100% for a week now. I ramped up really quickly this time. Last grow I was a bit more cautious. But I'm already looking to go to 100% relatively soon for autos when they start flowering.
@Kushycat, that was a good investment, the camera :)
I can control the environmental influences through the AC Infinity app, and with the Tapo camera, I can see the effects of my adjustments.
It gives me good flexibility even when I'm not at home :)
It's turned into a huge whirlwind! Happy Harvest 🥦🔥🍀 Cool, now you can also see how you secured your technique. I see the Bluetooth controller from hoti? Did you have any issues with the Tuya app?
@GermGrowFox, unfortunately the app can't find the Bluetooth knob/dimmer. I did an update on the app earlier but didn't try it afterwards. I'll just let it run until tomorrow, it won't hurt with autos anyway ^^ I'm too high right now and POE 2 is calling me 😂
@GermGrowFox, hello again, could you please take some screenshots of the Tuya app Wake up and Sleep Plan settings, as well as the Power on behavior when you get a chance? That would be very kind, thank you in advance!
