Everyday is a fight to keep the PH down. Every morning the PH is consistently going up to 7.3-7.5. I calibrated my ph reader and then brought down the water ph level to 5.6 this morning and by night time it is at 6.5ph. I am curious what I will find tomorrow. The seedlings do look happy and no roots at all showing through the net pot just yet. Stay High Folks ✌️🏽

This week went good except the PH level in the 3 DWC without the reservoir is always spiking to 7ph in a 24 hour period. I will be doing a water change with RO water next week and hopefully it will maybe keep ph level more consistent under 7ph in a 24 hour period. What I notice happening too is the the girls that are in the 3 DWC single buckets are a lot smaller then the 4 THC Bombs that are in the RDWC. There is 2 different strains in the single buckets, NYC Diesel and Fruit Punch but I also have 1 THC Bomb in a single bucket and all 3 are smaller then the ones in the RDWC. I am hoping this doesn't have anything to do with the PH level consistantly going up to 7+. I was thinking maybe my light positioning is contributing to it. The 4 RDWC are right under the light and the 3 DWC girls aren't directly under. I wonder if maybe it is the lighting that are causing these 3 DWC to grow slower. One thing too is that those 3 plants have good roots coming from it into the water now. The 4 in RDWC barely have any out yet 🤷‍♂️🏾. Stay High Folks✌️🏽

Why would my PH level jump from 5.6-5.8 to 7+ in a 24 hour period? I leave for 2 days every weekend so no one to tend to my plants. I don't want to deal with a lock out.

Couple of reason: i) reservoir too small, so any small change in solution concentration will greatly impact the pH. This will happen as the plant takes water and nutrients in different ratios than what you put in the reservoir. Since probably you can't increase the reservoir size, you could try to buffer the pH: put both pH up and down so to stabilize the pH against said changes.

Today was super challenging. The 3 single bubble buckets are getting this brown slime on the roots so on Sunday I cleaned the buckets did up new nutrients, RO water, PH 5.8 and added Hygrozyme. I removed most of the brown stuff off the roots and now 2 days later somee more brown stuff. I am afraid these 3 aren't gonna make it if this problem isn't rectified or maybe the Hygrozyme is making it brown 🤔 Maybe nothing to worry about? The 3 in the single bubble buckets are THC Bomb 5, Fruit Punch and NYC DEISEL. The NYC is looking really weird on the leaves twisty droopy a bit just not crisp. I dunno we will see in the next few days though of what will happen. I spent hours changing my RDWC system THC bomb 1-4. I had to change my tubing it was clear and just learnt it was a big no no. I had a rough garden day because it was water change day and I had to drain the system, changing all the tubing, cleaning the buckets, filling the buckets, breaking 2 air stones, getting water everywhere just a big fuck up while their was stuff all in the way. Then I go overfeed the RDWC a bit because I read my beaker wrong. FML. It should of had doses like last week but had more by accident and it is so late so I can't redo it pray for me 🙏🏽. Stay High ✌️🏽

This week actually went pretty good. The RO water made the PH level stabilize a lot more, most days I don't need to adjust it. I did over nute the plant last week and got some burn on some of the leaf's but I cut some off corrected the PPM and now they are happy again. I am seeing THC Bomb 3 is starting to show some of those grassy white hairs since last week now and a little bit on the other barely though. I don't know what they are called by the way. All in all didn't have to add water this week or nutrients. I will maybe do a water change next Tuesday depending if it seems like I should but everything looks clean and good to go. Stay High ✌️🏽

This week could of been better. I don't know why by bubble buckets are growing way more fuller and healthier then the RDWC System I don't get it. I did get nute burn on the RDWC maybe that is why it is like that? This week I discovered my NYC Diesel was curling down all sides on one 2 leafs and I thought it was cause by root rot because had some brown slime on it. I added H202 for 4 hours before my water change and roots went pretty white. The last picture is the problem leaf I am talking about. I think it can be possibly nutrient lockout. I am hoping by doing the water change and fresh PH water and nutes fixes the problem. I know use Hygrozyme and hopefully that will help too. Till next time. Stay High ✌️🏾

This week I thought my plants had a root problem but it was wind burn 🤣. I corrected the problem by not pointing the fans directly onto the plants. I left for 4 days and everything looked good when I came home but for once my PH level went down to 4.5 which I found odd because it was always the opposite. I trimmed all the big leaves that were blocking the light and the ones that had minor mold on them. While I was gone for 4 days I had some friends from another country that are visiting stay at my place. They turned off the AC because it was cold for them but when I got home it was 79° and 60% humidity in my house which didn't help my plants stat cool or dry. Therefore I got some mold on the leaves. It seems to be okay now. Stay High ✌️🏽

This week wasn't too much different just some bigger buds and you can see what plants ended up be runts. Since this is my first grow I am gonna grow all the plants to the end. I ran into some calcium deficiency so I added a little more cal-mag to my new RO water today hopefully it will mitigate the problem. I had to make a concoction of PH10 RO water with small does of H202 to get ride of some mold that formed when my AC stopped running. Seems to be under control now. I think I have 4 more weeks of flowering so this will be interesting now how the plant will bloom every week. Stay High ✌️🏽

@Wicked_Stix, Thanks man. I am actually excited for the water change then with RO water. I did you tap for this first water batch. I have to systems in my tent a RDWC and DWC 3 bubble buckets. The RDWC is cloudy but I think part of it was I didn't rinse my clay stones good enough. I will throw some HP in there for the time being before I do my water change. Thanks for the info✌️🏽

@PablosFarm, it is never a good idea to pH up and pH down the same batch of nutrients. If all 3 of them are rising at the same rate then it is something in your water and nutrients. The ro water should help, but a lot of different nutrients don't play well together especially in dwc. I have tried most the popular nutrients over the years and general hydroponics maxi nutrients hold stable for weeks in a healthy system. I have fluctuations if I mix anything with it. If you have cloudy water then something funky is probably growing in your system and a couple tsp of 3% hydrogen peroxide will clear that up. Best of luck with the rest of your grow.

What hydro kit is that? I think I want to upgrade to hydro next.

@StoneyNugs, I agree with PablosFarm that it's easy to build something. See my DIY for example which can be customised to suit... growdiaries.com/diaries/31812

@StoneyNugs, it is made by Viagrow I bought it off amazon. I think it would be easy to make though. I bought different hoses from home depot because I wanted to setup the buckets a certain way and I didn't want my res in the grow tent. My water stays nice and cool without the res in the grow tent. I like it so far.

i have a very similar garden to yours except no res just all independent bubble buckets and i was using tap water at first and it stunted my plants horribly i switched over to distilled water and i dont even have to adjust ph anymore just add nutes... im a newbie but this is for sure a problem ive had and fixed with neutral pHd water

@bloomerang, I am thinking switch to RO will help. I did too use tap water. Thanks for the info✌️🏽
