Start of week 2 and she is settling into her new home. Just water for now and wait.
Later into week 2 and I think I am seeing a little light burn from my light. Raised the light and I think it's improved. I'm open to other suggestions because this is my first grow. I haven't used any nutes yet and I am growing in organic potting soil.
This week I made my first attempt at LST. The plant responded well and I am seeing huge growth from the lower branches now. Also I made my first feeding which was with Advanced Nutrients PH perfect base trio and Humbolts Secret CalMag & Iron. I dosed all nutrients at 1/4 strength for first feeding. Not sure how long to wait before uping the dosage but everything looks good after first feeding.
Week 5 officially began flowering. I have been feeding a low dose of nutrients and continue to see some yellowing of lower leafs. I am stepping my nutrient use up sightly to help. I am also having a slight issue with my wet/dry cycle since this is my first grow. I am lowering my water use per watering to help this. I am currently watering 12oz approximately every 2-3 days and I think this is about right.
Week 6 completed with no new issues. I did try my hand at getting some closer pics but I'm to shaky for much quality. I'll have my wife take some soon though. The 1 new thing that did happen was I have cracked my second seed. For my second grow I will be growing Seedsman UK Cheese Autoflower. Not sure if it will have an official diary but seems to be doing well already.
Week 7 is in the books. Everything looking good besides I keep losing the lower fan leaves. They continue to yellow a few per week until I remove them. Not sure why this continues to happen but I'm trying to stick to my plan instead of doing anything drastic. Anyone with ideas about the cause I would love to hear what the cause may be.
Week 8 went in the books with no new developments. I have been super busy and didn't even notice but I didn't get any photos. I did add a new nutrient into my line up though. I added Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Super Tea and I'm hoping to see positive changes soon.
It's Week 9 and I'm starting to feel the anticipation of harvest. I'm thinking 2 or 3 more weeks growing and then begin to flush. Any thoughts on the timing of the flush or the timing of my plant would be appreciated if left below as this is my first grow. Thanks for stopping by... 💪🌲💪✌️👊
Beginning to see some fattening of buds but still seems slow to me. Decided to do another feeding but not full dosage because I think I am nearing the end for this lady based on how quickly she seems to be yellowing.
Week 11 in the books. Still fattening up some and nearing the end. Last feed completed 07/11/2019. Waiting until I see first Amber before begining the final flush with AN Flawless Finish.... To be continued
Week 12 and I can wait no longer. I have began using Final Flush from AN and have scheduled the chop for 08-01-2019 unless something changes. I'm still not seeing any Amber yet in the trichromes maybe 5% but it's debatable because it is so hard to get focused and stay still. This has been a very rewarding learning experience and something that has became a new hobby of mine. Thanks for checking my grow out and I will return in the future with weights and photos from harvest.
I ended up with 20 grams at harvest. The buds are not super dense but are fine for my personal use. The flavor is good but not the best I have smoked. I am really proud of myself for sticking with this plant and hobby and seeing it through until harvest. I have also discovered a new hobby which will be with me for years to come. Happy growing ✌️ 👊
I think your plant will take the full 8 weeks of flower, gotta let those babies develop a bit more. I dunno about you but I'm finding it real difficult to have patience at this point In the grow.
@HolySmoke, I agree with you on my plant taking it's time lol. Doesn't seem to be fattening up much yet. I would definitely say the patience is the one thing I underestimated about the difficulty of growing.
@HolySmoke, I finally started my final flush week... Haven't seen any amber yet in trichromes but can't hold out any longer. Decided on 08-01-2019 for official chop day.
@Anxious_Passenger, Thanks...I checked out your purple skunk grow and it's looking great as well...I will check back in when you start your NL grow... Happy growing ✌️👊
I'm at pretty much the same stage as you are and have been told that it's bound to happen at this point. I've just been waiting till the leaves basically fall off themselves though. Don't think this is something to worry about.
Cheers
@HolySmoke, I been trying not to worry thanks for the input. I have started the same thing though with just waiting and removing them once they begin to turn brown.
Nice job with the LST. I was thinking to do it with 1 of my photoperiods... but LST seems more suitable for more space around the pot. I now decided on lollipopping.
You seem to be doing well.
👊🏼👊🏼
@Puffer_Bill, I'm using an old growing technique called "fake it til you make it" LMAO..... Thank you really though but I'm just lucky I got good genetics from Nirvana when I purchased these beans 🌱🌱
@420throwaw4y, She is still hanging in there. I been busy and haven't made time for an update but she has just underwent my first attempt at LST and also the first feeding. Looking good though I will update soon.
You're growing in soil, you still need a 2 week flush, I don't think feeding when your leaves are yellowing is the best option at this point. You want to use up the Nutrients that are stored in the leaves, just keep in mind that you still need to flush in soil, roughly 2 weeks. Otherwise looking good, Stalks Strong!!
