Sooooooo....through a series of events I've come into this sad little Durban Poison clone. She needs saving and I'm her man. The stock is purple with defficiency, she's root bound in the little pot she came in. It's looking like the guy who cloned her took it during flowering. Nothing wrong with that but it might have been to late. The petal patterns on these leaves are fucked. I think she wants to bloom. Let's see what I can do here.
She's doing some weird ass shit. She wants to bloom but I ain't letting her go. Three leaves. One leaf. Five leaves.....it's all the same right now lol. She's confused. I think she's coming around though. I will top again and spread er like the red sea letting light penetrate the heart of this plant. Growing is growing and Im thinking she's going.
She's root bound, I know it. The night I received this clone it was a damp -1celcius. Aside from the temperature stress I know she endured the clone was very tall for the container she was living in. Upon transplant I knew what I was dealing with but was hoping for the best. Regardless she's thriving with the hand she's been dealt. I'm gonna throw her in the flower tent to see what kind of yield a smaller plant will produce. It's been a while since I've grown anything but a giant and maybe it's time to scale her back a bit.
Solid growth this week. She's stretching her arms reaching for the warm light. Bud sites are starting to shape up and a good amount of stretch has occurred. She's sharing a tent with two fellow sativas that are towering over her. A buddy of mine used the terms short and robust to explain his experience with the strain but most pics I find show slender giants. Will see what happens.......
This shorty is packing a punch. She's caught right up to the other ladies in the tent in guessing because of the bud ignitor I pounded her with. The buds are way more of a sativa variety then the other...sativas in the tent...if that makes sense. I can't see how they will be longer and the canopy is open to allow light in naturally. The smell is rather strong. I'm really looking forward to harvesting these buds for a nice wake and bake on a Sunday morning. I've only recently found my appreciation for the medical benefits of the sativa plant. Cheers to good things to come .
I have my doubts about the lineage of the strain. It's for sure a sativa but I'm finding it hard to believe it's Durban Poison . I'm gonna get some seeds and there will be no question. Regardless this plant is very healthy and thriving. The way shes opened up her branches in the sativa fashion is awesome. All my experience is in bushy indicas so this has been very fun and exciting. Hope she keeps on rockin out.
This is pretty weird stuff.....start off by saying this is definitely not Durban Poison. I figured there were some root issues from day one but still managed to keep things green through veg and the start of bloom. The rate of growth in this plant has been incredible, I've never witnessed anything like it. The buds are not overly large at all but FULL of trichromes. Even with a flush and feed she still wants to leach from her foliage for food. I wish I knew the actual strain so I could act accordingly. Is it a poor root system refusing nutes? Super quick grow/bloom photo? It's definitely a clone so I'm rooting an auto out. It looks and smells like it's gonna be a fantastic smoke. Rock on!
