Aircoholic This grow is a complete new start. Well, maybe not completely new, but with a completely new soil, which adds quite some excitement to the mix.
My old living soil mix was fun and I feel like I just finally understood how to handle it and the plants, and now I need to find an Alternative, since one part of my old grow mix isn't available anymore and the other contains peat, which I am not a fan of.
I didn't plant the seed directly in the living soil, because it's too nutrient rich, which can cause stress for a young plant, so I carved out a cone and filled it with a very light seedling soil and added a tiny amount Dynomyco, for some early fungal symbiosis.
It'll be fascinating to see how the soil behaves and in which ways I'll have to adjust my watering habits.
Once the seedling is out for a few days, I'll add a layer of mulch on top, and I'm thinking about reactivating my Blumat Drip System and also creating a DIY self-watering system, but more about that, when I find the capacity to work on that.
Edit: 4 days later, we have lift-off! woo hoo

Aircoholic First week of germination is over, and we've successfully launched into week 1 of veg. Well, kind of, she's still in the seedling phase, not in proper veg, but she's not germinating anymore. And she's looking really healthy - a little bit stretched maybe, the lights were a bit too high-up for the first two days, which didn't fulfill her hunger for photons, and made her streth closer to the light - the height is adjusted now, and she should get enough yummy photons now.

Aircoholic Okay, the photos look a bit overexposed and the plant pretty bright green - which she actually still is. She seems to be still in the seedling soil from what I can tell - will be exciting to see her reaction when she makes it to the living soil.
Her stem is a bit weak, not as bad as with Strawberry Gorilla Auto next to her, but she seems to struggle to keep her head up and supporting the weight of the new growing leafs. She got a few toothpicks to lean on, and I increased light intensity and decreased light distance - hope that helps her. Maybe I was a bit too careful with the light in the early stage.
EDIT: Replaced a few photos with more bearable versions.
