So this is my third grow and the skunk no1 plant is monster cropped from a 12 day into flowering plant that yielded some amazing skunk a@@ bud. This week she was repotted and fed her first aggressive veg nutrients, so I am considering this as week 1 of vegetative stage. Depending how fast she takes off I may start flowering early. The last try at this produced an extremely compact bushy beast. Last time I used a bit smaller pot and had a few root issues and a mild case of spider mites however got the mites problem eradicated and went with a larger pot. My humidity was a little low last grow so I also hang 2 damp white towels to increase the humidity by about 10-12%. Seems to work very well just need to remember to keep them damp. I’m not going for the biggest plant last one was about 15 inches and got 3.5oz this one looked healthier and with some problems solved I’m hoping for a little more out of this plant even if it is a bit smaller. There is another temporary room mate super lemon haze that turned out being a male I cloned just to experiment with but I will be removing it shortly and starting another Seedsman Alaskan purple auto I just got. Wk1d3 She recovered nicely from LST curled some leaves to allow more light gave her a light misting. Starting to see a little yellow colour I had in leaves last grow I took this clone from. Was either root problems or ph fluctuations I was never able to get solved but still had a great harvest. This plant didn’t have it at first but is appearing in a few spots anyone know the cause of whitish yellow streaks in leaves? My ph is steady 6.5 every watering could this just be common with cloning from a flowering plant? I removed most abnormal growth and twisted leaves near the bottom and the small buds that formed dried and withered away for the most part

Wk2: she grew upwards about 4 inches over the week and took a very long time to drink up the last watering. She was ready for 750ml of plain ph 6.3 water today and I also removed most yellow streak leaves and older mature leaves that were blocking out light after I LST stretched her back down to about 4 inches will do it once more next week just to even it out. The yellow streak leaves don’t seem to be popping up as much or seems to be fading away a bit removed most that were bugging my eyes lol. I had one strangler branch I had nowhere to tuck away so I took a little clipping off cleaned it up and put in rooting solution then into a nice humid container which I placed on top of the tent for heat and darkness for a couple of days. W2D2:she recovered nice from LST so I decided to stretch it just a touch more and removed some lower and older leave to promote new growth. W2D4:finally was ready for another straight ph 6.4 watering she got 1 litre this time not so concentrated to the centre

W3D1: The first images were right before lights out to end week 2. She clearly recovered from her last hair cut and has exploded with new growth and filled in the pot nicely. Hard to count but already up to 16-20 branches not to bad for a plant that has never been topped. She was also fed 1L with aggressive veg nutes just before lights out. I’m ready to remove more mature and light blocking leaves in the next day or 2 to allow more light in the bush. I also had modified my exhaust and carbon filter to allow for a second tent running off of one fan so I could remove the male super lemon haze, which resulted in a 5-7 degree drop in day time air temperature. My humidity stayed in the 60’s range but temps went from 78-81 during the day down to a consistent 73.5 at all times. I’m not sure exactly what triggered this but might have had my fresh air intake hose crimped somewhere along the line anyway bonus no more worrying about the 80’s + anymore. Yellow streaked leaves seem to be showing up less but still seeing new growth on certain branches showing the yellow. My ph is still consistent even misting water is same ph as feed water have not seen any other problems to lead me to believe it’s a root problem however I’m starting to thing it’s just the way the cookie crumbles monster cropping probably from were new growth came from dying bud because just like last plant this clone came from only 3-4 out of 16 plus branches are affected. Anyway will be removing the eye sore leaves shortly. She is still standing at only about 6 inches from top to soil but I am done with LST unless just to make space for new branches, time to get a little taller for her . W3D2: gave her a little heavier of a trimming to allow more light and promote new growth. She already drank most of the nutes up since yesterday speeding up on her water consumption. I had an issue with my aging timer when I modified my room and I didn’t notice it reset so lights were on for 24hrs before I noticed and to late in her next day to turn them off so she gets a random 48hrs of light hopefully it doesn’t hurt her she does look happy leaves perked right up even hrs after a heavy trim. As I was checking her out I also noticed a few preflower shooting out hairs W3D6: Day 18 she is pounding back water gave her about 1.3L of ph 6.3 water last night was feeling light already today. She put on almost 3 inches last few days along with replacing the bush I cut off a few days ago. I removed some of the larger fan leaves that were blocking new growth and removed the tie dye leaves still a few more growing out.

W4D1: she was completely dry after 48 hours gave her another heavy aggressive veg feeding. Once again she is bushier than can be starting to block a lot of light out I am considering doing a large defoliation and stripping her down before I do an early flowering she already showing a lot of preflowers (not sure if it’s due to my light issue last week or just maturity.) I was hoping for a few more weeks so I can harvest some super lemon haze pollen to add to a branch or 2 but we will see if time is on my side. However I think she needs to flower sooner than later every day she takes up more and more floor space in the tent and has been also growing up around 1 inch plus a day over last week. From what I recall from previous grows the same way she should not stretch to much once flipping to flower. I think defoliation may be best rout to expose the mass amount of lower bud sites she has. W4d5:late entry she filled right in was time for another trim. Was given 2L of ph 6.3 water and she chugged it right back really considering putting her into flower there are preflowers everywhere and she is ready to go hopefully my super lemon haze male will be spilling pollen in next few days so I can pollinate a branch or 2 of this bush.

W5D1: so yesterday I did a larger defoliation removed a lot of useless growth from underneath I was surprised to still see some tiny sticky buds from when I first cloned it 12 days into flowering. I was also able to get some clones without really affecting good bud producing branches. I took 8 however some were really small guess I’ll see if the small ones survive. She received 2L of ph 6.3 water right after defoliation and a nice big misting. This week will also mark 1st day of flowering but I am not switching light Schedule till tomorrow or day after in order to let it recover from defoliation. After a week or 2 I will do one last major defoliating which will be the last one aside from removing light blocking leaves. She will also get her transition to flower feeding the morning I switch the light Schedule and turn on the bloom lights. The male super lemon haze appears to be ready to spew his pollen so timing should work out perfectly to pollinate a branch or 2 of this bushy beast.she has tons of potential bud sites so losing branch or two won’t hurt. The last plant this clone came from that was 2/3 this size and got a very bad case of spider mites still yielded 2.9oz and this girl has not had a single spider mite or deficiency that I know of aside from the yellow streak in a few leaves she inherited from last grow crossing my fingers for 4oz. She still is pretty small after all. W5D4: had a busy week she get that bloom transition feeding and then some water she has filled right back in and so many branches and leaves that. it is blocking a lot of light and she is getting all ready for her final trim coming soon. I was also able to get bloom light on and switched to 12/12 was turned on May 29, 2019 and has 75 days to harvest. She put on 4 inches over last few days and looks ready to start flowering so she is and is 14 inches tall and 23’ inches around starting to completely take over the tent.

W6D1: flowering day 8 so I found this plant has best results around day 75 this time around I decided not to wait to feed aggressive bloom so after last weeks transitioning feeding I only gave water once and jumped right in with full ferts instead of a double water. I am itching to give her a larger trimming but if I’m going to defoliate properly I should wait till next week. I have trimmed just a couple crinkled leaves hitting the walls but that’s it she fills right back in real fast. She gets closer and closer to the lights everyday but is managing the lights well so I have not moved her down as yet but she also is growing wider now 2 feet around and is hogging up the whole tent. All 8 clones from last week survived so I will give some to family again last year my grandfather got 3lbs off of one LST clone outdoor was a monster plant. I will also take a few more for myself on day 12 of flowering again as it has proved successful bushy beasts. The following week I will also paint a couple lower branches with pollen I harvested from the super lemon haze. I am looking forward to smelling like skunk roadkill in the next few months 😜

W7D1: day 15 of flowering.. I want to defoliate so badly still waiting another 4-5 days at least so far I am just tucking leaves aside but still seeing buds starting on the inner dark spots so not so worried. I need to lower the platform she is on 3-4 branches really took the stretch for the lights same happened on my last attempt at this method but only seeing light affecting one leaf will get to that tomorrow. I let the soil stay dry an extra 24 hours to start this week with another feeding and I upped the nutrients slightly especially camag+ I was feeding every week but on the lower side and will only use it for another week. Stems are extremely strong this time around so they should hold weight well in coming weeks. Also lowered ph by 0.35 to 5.9 Going to take some advice and try Epson salt misting to see if it clears my yellow streaks over the next few days before buds and hairs get to big. Last plant I misted to long and it turned a lot of hairs brown so going to test before it’s to late. Plus humidity needs to start dropping soon want to reduce misting over next couple weeks down to no misting at all. Plus side super lemon haze pollen is ready and waiting sitting in rice and triple bagged in the fridge will be applying some next week to a few smaller branches and covering them up for a few days. W7D4: day 18 of flowering so I game her a major defoliation removed about 200 leaves she could have used a few more from the lower half but I will get those over the next week in small amounts. The light penetration now is as good as it I’d going to get Light penetration is right through to the soil. She has tons and tons of bud sites all the way down this time around with the defoliation technique done correctly she should have massive buds from top to bottom. Especially with how nice and close all the bud sites are. Tomorrow I am going to pollinate a couple branches with super lemon haze and I will keep the branches covered for 2 days before spraying with water to degrade the pollen so it doesn’t spread through The plant. She will also get a 2L watering tonight ph 5.9 W7D6:I don’t think the massive trimming effected her, the buds are still putting on size more so down lower in the branches. She is basically a twin of my last grow looks identical except a fair bit larger in size and all the bud growth is much faster and many more bud sites. Last plant yielded 2g shy of 3oz and she was sick and battled spider mites first 3 weeks of bloom, I’m hoping this one does 4-5oz would be awesome and very possible considering she hasn’t had a single spider mite or any root problems. She is on day 20 of flowering and has 55 days remaining last grow went 75 days and had a great uplifting euphoric buzz. Edit: looking over the weeks pics I’m amazed at the amount of growth over the last 5 days considering she lost a missive amount of leaves in the middle of the week 😎

W8d2: so I was finally able to pollinate 3 smaller branches all close together with a fine tip paint brush and I placed a paper bag over the branches and sprayed her with a heavy misting in case some pollen floated into other branches, I wouldn’t doubt it pollen looks neat in little slow moving clouds in the right light and angle. The heavy misting should neutralize the pollen that wasn’t under the paper bag that I will leave on for 2 days and then mist those branches along with the rest. I got it on a little later in the week than I would have liked but think she has enough time to produce nice seeds. I let her run dry for an extra day again so She got another heavy bloom feeding to start the week buds are rapidly putting on size and still nice and early in the flowering phase. Light penetration is holding up nicely buds are producing absolutely everywhere and getting larger by the day. W8D4: removed the bag from pollinated branches gave her a heavy misting to neutralize the remaining pollen. Leaves starting to fill n again she almost ready for some moreLST over next couple of weeks once her roommate is ready for harvest.

W9D1: flowering day 29 she got a full nutrient feeding this Morning I also removed just a handful of leaves that were blocking light. Buds are putting on some nice size and the couple lower branches with smaller buds are producing seeds, that area is lacking on light and will be for another week + maybe 2but seeds are growing. She will then be lsted a bit to allow light to get a little lower once roommate gets the chop.

W10D1: she got her weekly feeding of nutrients this am minus the CaMg+ she really needs more space hopefully this weekend I can get her some by harvesting her room mate 2 leaves getting slightly light burned and noticing that a couple leaves changing a little yellow or brown Bloch will look into that tomorrow hopefully not to worried she growing steady putting on weight. The branches are tough however are already starting to lean from the bigger buds need to get some ties in there before she starts falling over. W10D6: had a busy week haven’t had time to do much but give her water she is steady growing with some pistils changing orange already seems a little early so I think I’m still going to push her to day 65-70. While watering tonight I noticed a few leaves closer to the top with strange yellowish brown spots and leaves fading colour plucked off a few for a picture

i disagree with the folks here, i think it's a magnesium deficiency because of the yellowing between the veins affecting the oldest growth first. It's very slight until now and very easy to fix. based on how much you already put in i would say it could even be lock out. However i see you're at pH 5.9, try going up to 6.2/6.5 because magnesium and calcium get chelated at slightly high pHs which is maybe where the problem is coming from. Hope this helps ! 🚀

W11D2: Day 44 of flowering. Thanks for the advice guys I once read to stop feeding CaMg after 3-4 weeks of flowering so the issue was my fault for cutting the camg off. She got a double dose of it for yesterday’s feeding and she seems a bit better today. I removed all the leaves that were effected before the feeding and new ones were popping up everyday but there were no new damaged leaves today thankfully. The biggest tallest bud got some light burn a little but only got the fan leaves I’m not worried she stands a few inches above the rest but I added a tomato ring to support some branches the buds are getting heavy and she is leaning sideways already so once I have time I will slightly shorten the tall branch by pulling it back and fixing some of the side branches hanging down. I see about 40 or so seeds growing on the smaller useless buds lower down I pollinated and some are starting to push out of the sacks glad that worked.

W12D2: Day 50 of flowering the problem I was having last weeks has gotten slightly better but some leaves are still effected. I am not going to remove them as I don’t want to slow the fattening of buds at this stage they are getting larger and heavier drooping over from weight. I tied a few more branches up to stay upright and she has more space now with Alaskan purple harvested. I am going to give her one more feeding this week with a slightly higher ph and then the flushing process will begin the watering after. Added another image of effected leave from the deficiencies she is suffering from but still seems healthy from her visual growth some leaves almost look rusty. The leaves could have been missed when I removed them last week or could be new I’m not sure haven’t been in the tent much this week.

The day has finally come the soil was extremely dry and I didn’t want to add more water so close to harvest so she was cut down on day 64 instead of 65. It’s been a busy few weeks so I didn’t get the chance to tend to her much. A couple more leaves were effected by the yellow/brown sort of rust stain but it seemed to stop and just had some ugly leaves near the end along with a few more leaves being light burned near the very top, those leaves were left alone and just cut off at harvest. All in all she was a healthy plant right up until her remaining weeks and for the first time with this strain a lot of the sugar leaves started showing purple at the end she is definitely one of the sexier plants I’ve grown out of this clone line for a few generations. Her smell is potent and overpowering she had to be trimmed outside even just opening my tent the house stinks like skunk roadkill for 3-4 hours which reminds me with previous harvests I’m going to have to do all my jar opening or bud grabbing outside because opening one of these jars is like a skunk bomb going off hahaha oh I cannot wait 👏 lol This harvest seems to be fairly equal to the last monster cropped plant I grew which yielded just under 3 ounces so I’m still keeping my fingers crossed she breaches the 4 oz mark some of these buds are much heavier and larger then the last run and the smaller buds seems much denser this time around. She also has the added bonus of the lower branches that I pollinated with super lemon haze. I am looking forward to see the outcome of those seeds 2 great energetic and creative buzzes mixed together.

Everything went about the same as the grow this clone came from with a little extra in the yield. Just like the last grow she got a couple spider mites nothing to bad and they didn’t have enough time to cause damage, all 3 grows got mites right near the end. This plant had another potassium problem right near the end as well was damaging a number of leaves with rust like stains and yellowing between the veins. All in all I am more than happy with this day time smoke helps get shit done and it smells so strong of skunk hard to carry in public without being noticed never even mind smoking it hahaha turns heads fast.

So this was my second time monster cropping this strain and even though both plants were about the same size I got just a little over an ounce more than the last attempt. Stronger lights a little more experience helped with that not to mention the community here on grow diaries. I only wish I found this site sooner to learn from other growers and keep a better record to compare with instead of my fading memory. This grow went really well right up until the end she got a deficiency and a few spider mites not enough to cause damage or webbing in such a short time but this strain does not have any resistance to them at all another strain inches away even touching in some spaces did not have a single mite on them. When harvest time came around some of the sugar leaves and small amounts of bud started going purple I’ve known this strain for having purple stems without a deficiency but have never seen the buds go this colour. I only removed larger leaves and dried her for 5 days and jarred it up for 8-9 days and then removed the sugar leaves and cleaned the buds up a bit. She yielded around 108 gr but about 7 of that was riddled with seeds from my intentional pollenating a couple branches with Super Lemon Haze. I got about 200 nice seeds that I cannot wait to start sprouting and looking for pheno plants that I can keep going. The pictures of the flower do this plant no justice these buds are beautiful in person and I often find myself stopping to take a last peak at what looks like chronic chewed bubble gum in my pipe before lighting it. I don’t break it up just throw chunks in and they look so tasty. The smell of this weed is absurd lmao just having it in my pocket in public I often see heads turning and all I smell is what seems like a force field of skunk, and that just walking around with a couple grams in a baggie. Only other weed I can remember that compares with the smell of this bud is Colombian gold I smoked in Jamaica years ago. Potent and pungent this weed has a great uplifting high that makes you very energetic and talkative not much of a burnout and if there is just smoke another pipe and get on with cleaning lmao I find myself cleaning a lot smoking this weed. It has a great earthy pungent flavour and goes down nice and smooth. The uplifting high starts to kick in after about 10 mins and if nobody is around to yap their ear off then prepare to clean lol I cannot wait to see what the seeds produce seems how super lemon haze haze a similar affect and great odour. The male that I got the pollen from had great bug resistance and an amazing lemon skunk odour very strong for a male hopefully he passes both traits on to the skunk no1. I’m not so sure that anything can improve the intensity of the skunk smell even opening a jar to burp it or get a few buds out makes my house smell for about 3 hours intensely makes me laugh when I come in from smoking a few pipes and a few hours have passed since I opened a jar and the smell is still stronger than the taste and smell I have from smoking it. Is like someone smoked in my house while I had to go outside to puff haha I could probably get away with smoking inside with how bad it is already hahaha All in all I am happy with my grow and yield, I’m happy I found a place to record my grows for future info and get help from other growers. Thanks everyone who helped and gave advice when it came to questions I had. I have another skunk no1 in mid veg but will start another diary of this strain once I get some clones going.

So I been saving my sugar leaves from last 2 generations of this plant and decided to make my own vape oil today with them. In my smaller vape took 3-4 hits started buzzing then I added flavour and used in my larger higher watt vape and WOW one hit blew my wig back like smoking a big J in one hit and was only sugar leaves gonna save some of this harvest to make some more with bud 😜

Nice grow man. Hey, quick question about pollination. Was it difficult to pollinate only one portion of your plant and keep it localized? I'm thinking about breeding my next grow and getting a good number of seeds.

@Wandering_Sage666, Thanks for compliments it was actually pretty easy once you have the pollen put it in a container with a good seal wrap it in a baggie put in another bag and add rice to keep moisture out and then close the bag u can keep that in the freezer for a long time and it stays good. For pollination process it is easy get a fine tip art brush turn off all your fans and exhaust so the air is fairly still or even better do it away from the grow room to avoid pollen floating in the air. Then paint all the pistils on the selected branches you want to pollinate then cover those branches lightly with a paper bag to avoid pollen getting blown off for 2 days. When you remove the bag give the branches a quick water spray kills off unused pollen then just sit back for 5-6 weeks of flowering and watch seeds grow. They need 5-6 weeks so time it right with how long your flowering time is. Pollen travels and sits in the air I did it with my lights in the background and I seen clouds of pollen just sitting in the air from just using the fine brush so be very careful if u don’t want the whole plant producing. I only found a couple strangler seeds I didn’t intentionally want so it’s pretty easy if ur careful and don’t have air flowing around you. Good luck it’s a nice reward lol

@DILLIGAF, hey thanks for asking been real busy forgot to close it. At the time I gave her a healthy feeding and a few the leaves still went rusty so I flushed her and by that time was to close to harvest for anymore nutrients leaves didn’t get much worse after that they just started going a nice purple I’ve never seen with this strain yet.

@Shugz_Nugz, hey no solution leaves looking a little rusty after last feeding not much I can do now but let nature do it’s thing I don’t want to remove anymore leaves. Your plant looks great nice buds but yea very similar problem

Hey there looks like pH fluctuations to me, you can tell because the splotches arent "colorful" (P deficiency) and the discoloration isnt on the side of the leafs (K deficiency) , looks like pH fluctuations as the browning is splotchy ... basically your pH for inputs should be 6 or above , measure your runoff too to see how well the soil buffers the water you'll see it should be around 6.5 , the difference between the input and the output is the fluctuation more or less. Hope this helps 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for reply since she started flowing I been dropping the ph slightly down to about 5.8 from 6.3 run off is usually around 6 the plant I took this clone from had a bad case of ph fluctuations and stopped growing for awhile and I noticed all my main bud sites growing regularly but all lower bud site slowed to a crawl

@jocolope, I was thinking that as the day went on about the nutrients I do know that she has some light burn on her main cola it stands a bit higher than the rest and I been to busy to even get in there for more than watering also the taco leaves probably cause my central air was off for a few days that was lights out time my temps are consistent at 73.5 but last 3 days it’s been 80 air is back on now though and I have more space to lower the main cola even though it’s a little late but I’ve grown this stuff and I’m not harvesting before 65 days she has a nice potency at or after day 65

@Lionsshare,just bend the bud down a bit with a rope. The leaf problem won’t be much of a bummer
Lionsshare
Lionssharecommented6 years ago
@Jocolope, yes I agree as well I wasn’t thinking right was an early morning post in a rush lol hopefully she doesn’t get too bad with the leaf problems she has but all is still growing consistent for now

@Lionsshare, I am sure others will agree. 2 weeks before harvest you dont feed anymore, only water. Nice grow it will be good im sure

Anyone know what the yellow streaking in leaves could be? My ph is steady 6.5 all feedings and was present in the plant I took this clone from random leaves would fully grow out like tie died and even removing them I would always have random pop up around the plant and looks like I am getting it again.

@Lionsshare, yeah could try doing calmag foliar spray morning and night and if that clears it up, we know what it is. 👍🏻

@Waters, thanks Alan I have been searching and searching looking for something similar and have found really nothing aside from root issues. The plant I monster cropped this from was also monster cropped from a seed plant and at a young age the first clone got root issues and basically stopped growing for 2 weeks. When she grew again is when I seen these leaves with the yellow streak. And it was passed on to this clone but not near as bad I do feed camag+ up to week 3-4 of flowering maybe not enough. I will try upping it a little shouldn’t hurt her at all. Only other thing I found similar was ph fluctuations and since then I closely monitor ph and everything is steady. It’s so weird they don’t affect the health or anything else they grow normally just a hideous eye sore lmao

@Lionsshare, I think that’s a magnesium issue, possibly calcium. Not sure which.
