Zeven_Fyve This seed was the earliest mature seed from a Gelato #33 X Granddaddy Purple female, pollinated by a male CBD Dragon F3 ((Gelato #33 x Granddaddy Purple) x CBD Dragon F3). The seeds are larger than average and dark in color, and have a tough outer shell.
The female Gelato x Grandaddy Purple plant had an incredible smell of berries, cherries, perfume and Fuel, while the male CBD Dragon F3 smelled of Bubble Tape with very faint hints of beef broth. The two plants are opposites in almost every respect aside from purple hues during flower.
Of note, the mother preferred a more dry environment while the father preferred higher humidity.

End of Week 1 (Day 7):
It's doing good, growing at an expected pace. Leaf shape is the mother's, leaf texture is the father's. Both parents showed pre-flower a bit early, so I'll assume the same will be true for this one.

End of Week 2 (Day 14):
This one is wasting no time, a healthier facsimile of the mother but with thinner fragile leaves of the father with the same faint undertone of purple when viewed in the right light. Based on how the parents grew, I anticipate having an idea of this one's gender within the next 10-14 days. I have no intention of keep a male, so fingers crossed #1 is a keeper.

End of Week 3 (Day 21):
There's some mild edema and some pronounced clawing going on with the highest developed lateral. I normally grow in fabric pots which let the soil dry out faster, so the plastic pots are probably the issue.
Can't verify sex of plant just yet. The stipules aren't crossed which would lean towards this being a male, but I'll need to wait until it's 4 weeks old to really make any determination. As this was just a test seed before the rest of the seeds were dry and ready to germinate, I'll probably have to pop a bunch of beans at once in the future to confirm early tells (e.g. the males on the father's side all have really thin leaves compared to females).
not enough data to rate, but can't leave it empty so an even 5/10 for now.

Zeven_Fyve Day 26 - Male parts spotted, close enough in appearance to father's first showing that I very much doubt it could be a female. Very fast growth, thin and fragile leaves, no smell after nearly 4 weeks (other than a leaf rub, which is a perfect blend of the father's bubble tape and mother's diesel smells), and a lot of edema and leave deformity due to aggressive water uptake like the father.
Anywho, time to transplant this one into the compost.
