So if you have been following my indoor Fruity Pebbles Grow journal. You could watch my clone’s progress from the very beginning to today when I decided to plant her outside and start a new journal for it. So it is more like 40 days since I trimmed and started (the successful) cloning process, but for journal sakes it is Day 1 baby. Now cross your fingers that Southern Ontario keeps heading towards the more spring/summer like temps soon. Will be using a clear Tupperware for a bit at night to protect it from the elements and little critters that come out at night. Plus I will use it during the daytime for when the temperature doesn’t want to be spring/summer like (have a few days coming up this week) Wish me luck everyone
Day 10 They wanted some comments so here are a few. WOW what a skunky smell I get when I remove the clear container that protects it from the elements. Still need to cover during the day as we await some warmer weather to make its presence. Not using any nutrients at the moment and letting Mother Nature do the watering. As you can see, it seems to be loving it so far. Will need a tomato cage by next week I think just to keep in the side branches that are stretching like crazy (especially the right side)
Day 14 tomato cage has been added to help support her. She now stands at 11 inches as of this post and I couldn’t be happier. More outdoor plant journals could be coming soon with my Black Sugar clone and hopefully a Cinderella 99 clone too (just clipped yesterday and await to see if it takes)
Day 18 weather is a little cool past couple of days but FP is still going strong. Can’t fit my clear container over it completely but enough to shelter it a bit at night
Day 19 had a nice bit of rain today and now the sun is out and making 5hings muggy. They seem to be liking that
Day 24 lots of rain in the coming days. Placing her clear container over top to protect from potential downpours that could be coming. Looking great out there
Day 28 really stretching the past few days. Like McDonalds, I’m loving it
Day 34 finally some warm weather and she is loving it. Swear she has grown 6+ inches in past 3-4 days alone
Day 35 now it’s starting to look a bit bushier. I think she’s going to be a monster when she finishes
Day 37 get a little rain, and she develops a fat ass. Just seem to grow outwards and the other w main stems on the left are catching up with the taller far right stem
Day 44 gave everyone a bit of B-52 and Blackstrap Molasses since my container was near empty after feeding the tent plants today. Now to see what they do
Day 56 little rain last night, warm summer weather and they are loving it. Also seems to be having a growing competition with the Raspberry plant just outside the grow box area. Shouldn’t be long before Fruity Pebbles becomes the clear winner in this contest
Day 18 got a little rain last night, and they are responding nicely. Plus it is getting pretty warm with a high humidity too. Will keep an eye if it shows signs of stress, but they’re loving it so far.
Day 70 I needed to add a comment. Um, I guess just keep up the good work Fruity Pebbles. Hopefully I do better with you outside then I did with you inside the grow tent.
Day 71 did a little trimming late last night and cleared some of the little growth at the bottom of the stem. Much better airflow down there now and seems like the plant approved, as it obviously grew from yesterday.
Day 81 she is really starting to spread her branches outwards. Got the main ones going upwards and the other stems growing up and now leaning on the upper portion of the tomato cage to grow outwards. Might give her another trimming soon as flowering should kick in the coming weeks as we loose our later evening sunshine
Day 83 and she is really starting to Bush outwards. Measured her at almost and even 4 feet wide front to back and side to side. Plus she grew a couple more inches too.
Day 89 Well we are now up to 60” tall and should get taller faster and soon. Looks like white pistils are showing up now on the plant. Will probably mark the coming week as the start of the flowering cycle.
Day 90 I swear she grew a few inches overnight. I will have to measure her again tonight or tomorrow to see if I was right (it didn’t)
Day 94 good soaking of rain today. Might start using some sort of nutrients in the coming weeks as they start to flower more
Day 96 she great another 4 inches when I measured her last night and might of grown a little bit more since then
Day 105 needed to add a comment and so here it is. Looking good so far, been getting some rain here and there. Going to see how long I can go before Nutrients are required, as everyone else seems to be doing fine without them so far
Day 108 all is looking pretty good. They are starting to stack nicely with new growth. Wondering how much she’s going to produce for me. Thinking if she stays healthy and continues to stack nicely that I should get a good pound of wet product easily
Day 117 might need to add some support or a little soft lining to my tomato cage. Had a little wind over the past few days and notice some of the side branches with cage marks into the stem. Don’t want to lose any of my precious baby
Day 121 looking good but surprised that they aren’t progressing as fast it seems to some of my other plants in the backyard. I wonder if I might finally have to add some sort of nutrient to help her along
Day 62 sorry I didn’t update yesterday, but I did pics and will be posted with today’s updated pics as well.
Day 127 my sister gave her portion of the garden and mine a watering yesterday and everyone seems to fatter/plumper today. Just have a problem with some of my other plants being low on the ground or hanging over cause my dog seems to like nibbling on my plants. Sleeps at night with no issues though
Day 129 sorry update is a day late but Yesterday’s pics will be included with today’s pics. Although there might not be a Day 131 and for sure no Day 132 update as I will be out of town.
Day 134 Well I finally decided too add some nutrients to the outdoor grow. Using my Green Planet nutrients I had from my first grow in my tent. They seem to work back then and hope they are still viable with today’s watering of everyone outside
Day 140 decided to water everyone one more time with nutrients. Added some Overdrive to the mix for all my outdoor gals. Some probably need it more than others as I think come next week I might be able to harvest a few of my plants. Plus it is like super hot the past few days and have a little breeze pushing a lovely weed scented breeze out front of the house. Hopefully I don’t attract the wrong type of people to visiting my backyard 😱
Day 141 wow on the overdrive kicking in on everyone outside. Noticeable plumping of my buds when I went to take today’s pictures. Also added a few more doweling into the ground to help support her as she gets plumber, and because it was a little breezy last night
Day 144 they just got huge and fat overnight. Plus a first for me, a little walk around my beauty
Day 150 hot and muggy as hell today and that resulted in some wicked t-storms and mostly torrential downpours. As you can see my plant took a bit of a beating from it and so I have planted doweling to help support them heavy limbs. Looks like I will have to take her down this weekend, but she looks ready today with more red hairs present on the flowers. Hopefully no bud rot happens in that time as I have more rain on the way and covering her up now might do more harm than good trapping today’s moisture on them with no breeze to help dry them up
Day 152 sorry on late update from yesterday. Lots of rain but so far they seem to be doing ok with no signs of rot or mold yet. Going to get the family out on Saturday and probably bring her down to harvest.
Day 153 TODAY’S THE DAY!!! We have a threat of frost moving in tonight and so I brought the fam out tonight to help take her down. Plus a co-worker has he thinks about 5lbs worth of plants taken from his yard. . . and he doesn’t even have neighbours near him. Unlike me who is nothing but surrounded by houses. Didn’t weigh yet cause I haven’t trimmed her yet (tomorrow) With what we cut off her, it was a total of 6 four gallon pals filled to the top of goodness. The house kind of smells little skunky and what a lovely smell it is. Sadly I did have a few tiny spots of rot and cut away but might be more from what the family cut off her that I didn’t see. Cross your fingers for the best, in that I got all there was to get. Can’t wait too see what I got weight wise from her tomorrow. Sadly again a lot of seeds seen with her with the rough trim
Well shit I had them drying and noticed a sort of musty smell to them when I bagged them. So hung up to dry for roughly a week and sadly I had to toss well over 120g of dried bud due to MOLD. 🤬FUCK ME!!!🤬So I spent well over an hour splitting/spreading weed apart and trying to smell to see if they were still good. Filled roughly 6 1L mason jars still but who knows if I missed anything😨 so cross your fingers that nothing shows up over the coming days and weeks.
Hi, I have some Fruity Pebble seeds and I also live in Southern Ontario. When did you start these indoors and when did you take them outside to grow. They look awesome. Thanks for your help.
@EhCndGrower,
Thanks for the heads up about harvesting too soon. I just realized you started from a clone. I've started from seeds and it's not looking good so far. Thanks for the reply and the tips!
@MrLimey, I started as a clone from my first attempt at growing the strain. I fucked up and killed it but took a snip and became that. I think I was starting to become root bound and forced me to plant her outside a bit early. According to the time stamp from my photos that was May 6th. Just be careful near the end before harvest. As I lost a good 3rd of my grow to mold
