HomeToGrow Hey there, We're in the 4th week of veg, and at the beginning of the week, I topped the plants to prepare them for the scrog. By the way, it's about the 2 plants in the back, since the front 2 are my girlfriend's Cookies Gelato, this diary is only about the 2 plants in the back.

HomeToGrow Hey, Now that the plants have been topped, this week we moved on to SCROG and defoliation. There were no issues throughout the veg phase except for a brief fungus gnat infestation that was immediately treated with nematodes. Starting next week, we’ll be heading into flowering. Looking back, I can say that 2-3 days less of veg would have been enough to fill the tent.

HomeToGrow Hey, The first week of flowering is now over, and the Blue Cheese is looking very uniform and incredibly vigorous. I'm giving about 3.5 liters every 3 days, and I add nutrients with every second watering.

HomeToGrow Hey, By the end of the 3rd week of flowering, the stretch is mostly over and the flower formation is noticeably increasing. From the beginning, the first trichomes have already appeared on the buds. In a little mishap, a branch from the right Blue Cheese broke, but I was able to save it back then with some duct tape.

HomeToGrow Hey, Now it’s getting exciting, the stretch is over and flowering is underway. I’m really liking the development of this grow more and more, I just could have definitely defoliated more. What’s still not clear to me at this point is the slight Mg deficiency in the Blue Cheese; I only managed to somewhat control it until the end, but even here, the Blue Cheese has proven to be really adaptable and resilient, and there were no seriously bad symptoms until the end.

HomeToGrow Hey, This grow is continuing without any complications, the smell has turned into sweet blueberries with a bit of a pungent skunk aroma on the left side, and on the right side, I would describe the smell exactly the opposite. Personally, I prefer the blueberry-dominant phenotype a bit more with its sweet and soapy note.

HomeToGrow Hey, The flowering is slowly entering the final phase, and in about 2 weeks, the harvest will be here. There's not much to report, the plants are doing well, and the mainly sweet smell is hardly containable anymore.

HomeToGrow Hey, It happened, and the Blue Cheese was harvested. After one head bud from the right Blue Cheese had a little spot of bud rot, I wanted to act quickly and got ready for the harvest a week earlier than planned. As a conclusion to the grow, both plants completely convinced me from day one. Very robust, very vigorous, responds well to all kinds of training, and within hours of training, you could see that the Blue Cheese wanted to keep growing. Both produced massive, dense, and especially resinous buds. The fact that there was mold on one head bud was almost a logical consequence of these dense buds, the high temperatures, and especially the humidity of 65%. Both phenos impress me with their terpene profiles, although I prefer the left one. This pheno shows a distinct blueberry sweetness along with a soapy, slightly skunky background. The right pheno, on the other hand, has a skunky note with a earthier and sweeter background. I can definitely recommend the Blue Cheese!

HomeToGrow Hey, The Blue Cheese was the perfect choice, as it was my first grow after a years-long break. Both seeds germinated within 24 hours, and by the next day after planting, the cotyledons appeared. The plants were nearly indestructible and were eager to grow. The terpene profile was top-notch for both, although I preferred the Blueberry & Soap pheno over the sweet Skunk pheno. Personally, I don't really care about the THC content, but since I was able to test it semi-professionally, I’m happy to share that with you. The THC content was 24%.

Really strong grow you've got there! 🔥🌱 The final result is truly impressive. I find your stated THC values particularly interesting. May I ask how and where you had your buds tested? Was it a professional lab analysis, or did you use a testing device yourself? I'm very curious, as I've been thinking about getting my own harvests tested for a while now. 👌

@CannaArchive thank you, that was my 1st grow after several years off, and I really had a lot of time to take good care of the plants, and the strain was really easy to grow. 😄 A professional lab analysis would have been pretty cool; I actually had the buds tested at Mary Jane 2025, and they were already about 3/4 of a year old. I don't remember the name of the company, but they apparently made testing devices for csc and grow systems. The technology is based on multiple infrared measurements from which an average is formed. What was interesting is that the bud remains intact and doesn't get ground up like with many devices like purple pro. That can have its pros and cons, of course. 😅 In the future, I also wanted to see if I could get some terpene analyses done to find out more about the profile that helps me the most personally.

@HomeToGrow, Ahh I see, thank you very much for the detailed response!!💪 It's really great that they offer that there or that someone offers it, I guess I have to go to the MJ next year.😄
