BettyFlores 26.12.2025 Exotic Seed gifted me 3 strains, and I decided on the Zkittalicious. Overall, I germinated 3 seeds, 2 are meant for soil, and if this 1 makes it, then it's off to the bucket 😅. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the plan works out as desired and that I'll have a chill grow. Merry Christmas 🎄 🌸 30.12.2025 I spent the last two days in Amsterdam, and when I got home, she was already waiting for me. All yellow and searching for light. And even though I was sooo tired from the trip, I still got to work and set up the DWC. Now she's sitting in her bucket (which I'm also in 😅) and enjoying life. Tomorrow I'll be back in the game, and then it's on 😃🌸 04.01.2026 Hey Grower Community! A huge thank you to Exotic Seed for the sponsored seeds of Zkittalicious – an amazing genetics from Zkittlez x Blue Monkey, known for intense tropical fruit flavors, high THC levels, and massive yields. I'm super excited to see how these ladies develop! Currently, I'm still in the propagation phase, but the girls are about to officially transition into week 1 of vegetation. All three seeds have germinated wonderfully and are already showing strong root development as well as the first true leaves. Setup overview: 1 plant in DWC (Deep Water Culture): The roots are literally exploding here – typical Hydro! The oxygen supply through the air stones is running perfectly, and the little one already looks stronger than the soil sisters. 2 plants in soil: Organic living soil mix with good drainage. They are growing a bit slower, but evenly and healthily – classically robust. Parameters: pH: Stabilized between 5.5 and 6.0 (ideal for DWC 5.5–5.8, for soil slightly higher towards 6.0). I allow a slight drift so that all nutrients are optimally available – no rigid adherence to one value! Temperature: Day 24–26°C, Night 20–22°C Humidity: 70–80% (perfect for seedlings) Lighting: 18/6 cycle with a gentle LED (about 150–200 PPFD, distance 50–60 cm to avoid stress) Nutrients: Still minimal – just a light rooting stimulant and CalMag at half dosage. No overfeeding in this sensitive phase! The plants look top-notch: stems thick and green, no signs of deficiencies or stress. The DWC lady is slightly ahead in growth, but the soil plants are catching up. Next week I'll start with light veg food and maybe some first LST training to build bushy structure. Check out the plant in DWC – pure magic! And the little true leaves of the soil babes. What do you think? Has anyone grown Zkittalicious before? Tips for the veg start in mixed mediums are welcome! Stay green and happy growing! 🌱💚 #Zkittalicious #ExoticSeed #Sponsored #DWC #Soil #PropagationToVeg

BettyFlores 08.01.2025 Today marks the start of the first week in the Veg phase of my Zkittalicious plants, and I’m just over the moon! This strain (Zkittlez x Blue Monkey, 70% Indica-dominant) is already showing its potential – it’s known for its vigorous growth, and I can clearly see that in all three specimens. I have two plants in Soil (Light-Mix and clay pebbles) and one in DWC (Deep Water Culture). All parameters are absolutely in the green zone and match the recommendations for the early Veg phase: PPFD: About 200 µmol/m²/s – perfect for kicking off the vegetative phase without stressing the young plants. The lights are hung at the optimal height, and the distribution is even. Nutrients/EC: In Soil, only lightly enriched, as the soil still provides enough nutrients. In DWC, I keep the EC at around 0.8-1.0 (about 400-500 ppm), pH stable at 5.8-6.0. No over-fertilization, everything is gentle and age-appropriate. pH: Soil at 5.9, DWC at 5.9 – ideal for optimal nutrient uptake. Height & Distance: Light distance perfectly set, the plants are stretching healthily without getting too tall. Environment: Temperature 24°C during the day, 20°C at night, humidity 70%, good air exchange. The two Soil plants are developing beautifully: strong, dark green leaves, sturdy stems, and already the first real leaf pairs. They look robust and vital, just like in the strain descriptions – vigorous growth from the start. The DWC plant is the absolute star this week! The roots are practically exploding, white and healthy, and the above-ground growth is even a bit faster than that of the Soil sisters. In Hydro, the genetics really shine – it’s soaking up the nutrients and rewarding me with explosive green. I’m so proud and happy! No signs of stress, no deficiencies, everything is running on time and as it should. This Zkittalicious is already making me crave more – I’m super excited for the next weeks when they get really bushy. Next week: Plan for light topping and gradually increase PPFD. 💚🌱 Betty 🌱💚 09.12.2025 Water change and adjusted amounts of nutrient additives.

BettyFlores 15.01.2026 Update on the Freak Pheno The main stem just shut down after the second node pairing: No new growth at the top, the apical meristem has basically retired. Instead, two strong side branches have decided to take over. The two are really pushing up now and look like the new co-leaders. The stem is already noticeably thicker than the soil sisters in week 2 – the DWC and constant oxygen supply are obviously doing their part. Visually, it looks like this right now: Base and lower part stable and bushy Two dominant side branches growing almost parallel upwards (one maybe slightly stronger?) The old main stem is just hanging around uselessly, but it's still green and healthy Leaves overall dark green, no significant deformities visible anymore (except that the whole structure is of course asymmetrical) Roots in the bucket: white, fluffy, still growing great – no signs of oxygen deficiency or nutrient problems Smell still non-existent. Zero. Nada. Even with careful rubbing, nothing comes out – this could either be a very late terpene pheno or all the energy is going into structure instead of scent. So far, the assessment: Not a classic "mutation fail." More a classic case of lost apical dominance + strong compensation from side branches. Such plants can actually yield really well later on, because the energy isn't focused on a single stem, but is distributed across two (or more). If the two leaders grow nicely apart now and each build thick tops, it could end up being a very wide, bushy plant with several thick colas – perfect for SCROG or just maximizing light usage. My current plan: Accept the two new leaders as main stems and start LST early, so they stretch nicely apart and don’t rub against each other. Leave the dead/resting main stem on for now. From week 3, probably remove the lower, weaker side branches to direct all the energy to the two tops. Keep EC at 0.9–1.0, pH 5.7–5.9, refresh reservoir every 3–4 days. Continue to observe if more branches try to join in – if so, decide whether topping or thinning is better. Conclusion: This is not a disaster, but rather an interesting deviation with potential. If the two leaders pull through nicely and the plant becomes nice and wide, it could end up being one of the most productive Zkittalicious I've ever had – simply because it’s almost naturally “pre-topped.” I’m still as excited as a bowstring. Being patient with the weirdo 💪🌱

BettyFlores 22.01.2026 Week 3 Vegetative – Zkittalicious DWC Freak-Pheno – Solo Hydro Diary Setup: 1× Zkittalicious (Exotic Seed) – the absolute freak pheno (strong indica-leaning, long stretch expected) Method: DWC (Deep Water Culture) – 30 L bucket with 4 air stones 8" + Hailea ACO-208 (strong bubbles!) Water temp: 19.8–20.5 25–27 °C day / 20–21 °C night Humidity: 60–65 % Lighting: Spider Farmer SF-3000 @ 60 % (about 550–650 µmol/m²/s PPFD on the crown) – 18/6 cycle Distance from lights: 60 cm currently (will be adjusted with growth) Week 3 – The freak shows its teeth! This one pheno is an absolute monster! DWC pure madness! Today (Day 21 Veg) I carefully supercropped the main stem (gently bent, no kink, just pressure until it "clicks") and defoliated the lower 3–4 nodes that were in the shade anyway. Goal: direct energy upwards and control the stretch in weeks 4–5, otherwise it will soon kiss the lamp 😂. LST with yo-yo clips and soft wire to keep the side branches horizontal – now it looks like a green rocket launch preparation stand. DWC specifics & observations: Roots are exploding! The bucket is almost white from the fine hair roots – super healthy, no browning, no slime. The bubbles provide mega oxygen, you can really feel the turbo growth. No CalMag drama like with the soil sisters – since the start, a constant 1 ml/L CalMag agent, leaves remain dark green and fat. (Lesson learned: In DWC with regular water, never underestimate CalMag!) Slight pH swing last night (climbed from 5.8 to 6.1), complete water change planned every 5–7 days to maintain nutrient balance. Smell: Already intense! Sweet candies + tropical fruits + a slight chemical citrus touch. If it stays like this in bloom, it will be a terp beast. Current photos: Root mass in the bucket (made transparent for the kick) Comparison: Freak pheno vs. Indica pheno from soil (same age) Next steps week 4: Slowly push EC to 1.6–1.8 if runoff remains stable Defoliation round 2 only if needed (large fans casting shade) Monitoring: If it keeps blasting like this, prepare net or SCROG This freak pheno could be the jackpot – high THC push from Blue Monkey + Zkittlez taste, but with sativa height and airy structure for better light penetration. I'm curious if it can make it to 9 weeks of flowering or needs longer. Thanks for reading along, critiques & tips always welcome! Especially from DWC veterans – what would you do with such a stretch monster? 💚🌊 #Zkittalicious #ExoticSeed #DWC #HydroGrow #PhenoHunt #FreakPheno #Week3Veg #Growdiaries

BettyFlores 29.01.2026 Light cycle: Switch from 18/6 to 12/12 done today Plant: 1 × Zkittalicious (Freak phenotype – selected, particularly vigorous/fast-growing expression) System: DWC (Deep Water Culture) – bucket approx. 30 L (depending on setup), air stone + pump Nutrient solution: Currently Veg formula, EC approx. 1.6–1.8 pH stable 6.0 Temperature: 19 °C (water) / 25–27 °C (air day) / 21–22 °C (night) Humidity: 55–62 % Lighting: 300 W Distance approx. 60 cm Current status: Today switched the light cycle to 12/12. This freak pheno has proven to be extremely vigorous and fast-growing in the Veg phase – noticeably more aggressive than the two soil plants. Strong stretch tendency already visible, longer internodes, very bushy with thick side branches and high leaf mass. Regular defoliation (selectively removed large fan leaves). Current height: approx. 15 cm (from net/pot to tip, stretched), a good result in DWC in week 4 Veg. The pheno already shows a higher Sativa-like stretch than the average of the line (despite 70/30 Indica dominance), which makes it a true "freak." Leaf health: Very dark green, thick leaves, vital and without deficiencies. Everything is running clean in DWC – regular reservoir changes (every 10 days), CalMag + Silica supplemented to cover Mg/Ca needs during rapid growth. No root problems, white, healthy roots. Aroma: Already intensely sweet-fruity – strong tropical candy notes (candy/citrus), with a slight sour lemon undertone and a hint of chemical depth (from Blue Monkey influence). In the DWC system, the smell comes through earlier and stronger than in soil. Nutrients & reservoir today: Last full Veg dose given, kept EC at 1.6. Today only pH adjustment + Rhizotonic/Stress-Reliever + light boost for roots after the flip. Reservoir temperature kept stable at 19 °C to optimize oxygen uptake. No top-off needed, as there is still sufficient volume. Outlook: Expecting a significant stretch phase (probably 2–2.5× the Veg height), as this freak pheno is already showing more stretch than typical specimens. However, with training, the height should remain manageable. First pre-flowers expected in 7–12 days. Next steps: Lollipopping in week 1–2 of flowering, final defoliation in week 3, and close monitoring of EC/pH to manage turbo growth. Goal: Very high yield (potentially 550–650+ g/m² in DWC under optimal run), extremely dense, resin-coated colas with the full Zkittalicious aroma (sweet tropical + sour lemon + wood). Flowering time approx. 8–9 weeks. Continue to manage precisely – this freak has enormous potential but needs strict control during flowering. 🌱💧 BettyFlores 💜🌸

BettyFlores 05.02.2026 I actually wanted to change the nutrient solution today, but unfortunately I'm too sick and weak, so that has to wait until tomorrow. Apparently, she's doing wonderfully. Due to lack of time and illness, everything has to take a backseat; I'll be fit again soon 🌸💜

BettyFlores 12.02.2026 Unfortunately, I can't train her the way I had envisioned, as she has quite a few shoots and they are exceptionally thick and strong. Maybe it's due to her freak genes? In any case, she will be able to support all the buds well, so I'm satisfied with that. Her pH is consistently at 6.0, ensuring adequate CalMag uptake, and everything else is within the normal range. She looks absolutely beautiful, has lush, healthy leaves, and is doing really well in the stretch. Have a great weekend and happy growing Betty 💜🌸

Happy growing 💜🌸

BettyFlores 12.03.2026 After my dehumidifier actually broke down, I had to buy a new one. I then decided to clean the exhaust system, and it worked wonders for the humidity. Overall, I'm very happy with the DWC Zkittalicious. It even has leaf flowers, but that's to be expected with a freak pheno. Its scent is sweet and waffle-like, and I can hardly wait for the harvest. Happy growing 💜

BettyFlores 19.03.2026 Phew, guys, what have I done 😅? I just have a tree in my apartment. How could it get so gigantic? Uncropped, it would easily be 1.40 - 1.50 m! 😅 I need harvest helpers. Or machines *laughs*. This plant officially marks the beginning of my plantation reign. I need more space 😂. Happy growing 💜 🌸

03.04.2026 What a fantastic plant! I've been smoking it for a while now and I'm really totally thrilled with the Zkittalicious from Exotic Seed. It was quite productive, even though only 50 g are allowed in Germany and I had to dispose of most of it. Its scent is simply delicious and the smoking experience is a whole level up. The effect is very variable. In company, I get quite euphoric, in the evening I fall asleep perfectly and wake up dreamless and well-rested the next morning; no endless tossing and turning. I will definitely grow this strain again. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience, @Exotic_Seed 19.03.2026 After the last trichome check, I decided to harvest. Its buds are beautiful, in purple, pink, and orange, and its scent resembles a fairy tale forest. I was busy for almost 2 hours just cutting, hanging, unplugging, and cleaning up. It has grown so large that it easily covers my annual needs. As soon as I try it, there will be an update. Thanks again to Exotic Seed for this great experience with this amazing Zkittalicious!

BettyFlores 19.03.2026 It’s done, and the Zkittalicious has been harvested. It’s a bit sad when your roommate of several months is no longer around 😥. I was busy for hours, and it felt like I harvested 4 plants at once. Their scent is so delicious, and I can hardly wait for the first spliff. Thank you so much to Exotic Seed for this wonderful experience and this flawless run 🌸💜

The Breeder Syndicate has an episode about Z, since you're obviously a fan, I thought you might want to know that (in case you don't already know). 😎

@BettyFlores, I definitely would have picked those too. 😁😁😁

@BettyFlores, I also find orange terps a bit unpleasant. On the other hand, I have in mind that Headband was just an OG Kush cut, I think. At least that's what Matt claims in one of the Breeders Syndicate episodes. And I really enjoy that flavor. Honey Mints is also a chance because Kush Mints, if I remember correctly, was pretty awesome from the Cookies family. Was that in permanent marker? Could be. It definitely sounds good. Well, that's also quite interesting. Triangle Kush is also exciting. I've never had that though. Generally, I like the Kush flavor. And with the Kosher Kush (Herzog) and the Cookies genetics, the Bagappael must be amazing. Buuut three times Afghani in the fourth generation and Back Domina ☺️ in the third, plus a few sprinkled old Hazes... It must be a killer strain. I think all of these are great things they've sent you. But yeah, 70/30 is pretty hefty. By the way, I think Blue Monkey is going on the list. 😅😁😎

@Lotopharg, yes, Blueberry Headband and Permanent Marker are my absolute favorites 😍. We have the same taste, and I'm excited to see your results. Knowing that I chose the right strain reassures me, and let's see what comes of it!

Also here: exciting mutation! This looks like a good SCROG candidate to me as well. I would let it top, the sweetness has already taken care of that for you. You could consider tying down the two shoots with LST to then pull three main shoots. Or you can just keep watching what it plans to do. 😎

@Lotopharg, actually this plant has 2 cardinal shoots from birth 😅, even though they are growing out sideways. I could top them and end up with 4 main colas at the time of the regular first topping. It increases the growth time for four main shoots immensely. Somehow I never win the lottery, but I'm always in for such curiosities.
