Cookie Casket & Hindu Kush

HaschHasch So my first entry here. The setup isn't quite complete yet; I'm getting a humidifier in the next few days, then I can hopefully adjust the climate well with that and the heater from acinfinity. The little one is the Hindu Kush, it should be around VT 14, and the Cookie Casket is a bit older. Normally, I do SCROG, but I think I'll do a regular grow this time to get used to the setup.

HaschHasch The humidifier is here now and doing its job. Everything is working great, but I'm currently struggling a bit with the AC settings. Right now, I'm doing pretty well with the exhaust & circulation constantly on level 1, Thermoforge set to Auto (24 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night), and the Cloud Forge on VPD 0.9 kPa during the day and 1.0 kPa at night. It's a bit annoying that the devices don't adjust smoothly to the perfect values but instead either run at full speed or not at all; I don't think that's particularly efficient, but it's probably my fault since I haven't fully grasped the settings yet :P I think next week I'll be moving the two into 11L pots, and in two weeks, I'll switch things up.

HaschHasch Today I repotted and tied down the branches a bit more. In a week, I'll switch things up. The ladies seem to be doing splendidly; I'm curious to see how the flowering goes. 2 days later, everything is reaching up again, and I think we'll fill the tent by the middle of next week when I switch things up :D

HaschHasch Both are at the same height and want to bloom, so it was initiated today. VPD is now set to 1.1 kPa.

HaschHasch The stretch is in full swing, the tent is filling up, and the two ladies are gaining quite a bit of height. I didn't think they would stretch so much after such a long veg. At BT 20, a lot of leaves are being removed; it's quite a thick jungle above the pot. The first buds are already visible.

HaschHasch The stretch is pretty much done, in the next few days we'll be lollipopping. The lighting has been supplemented with a Sanlight, now the system is running at about 160 W (2x Q1W at 50 W each and Spider Farmer at 60% ≈ 60W).

HaschHasch Everything is going really well, there are plenty of buds, and it will be exciting to see if the nutrients in the soil will be enough when the buds really start to soak it up :D But if necessary, I'll add some mineral nutrients. Unfortunately, I found a few pollen sacs on the Hindukush, I'm plucking them off for now, but if I miss any, the weed will get seeded, and I can imagine a Cookie Casket x Hindukush cross would be awesome 😬

HaschHasch So right now, things are happening, the buds are swelling, and the ladies are resinous. Due to the peak in nutrient consumption in weeks 5/6, I did some fertilizing. Because of slight tip burns, I will now give 2ml/l of Terra Bloom instead of Terra Grow + Alga Bloom, just to ensure sufficient nutrient supply during this phase. In my experience, the Sun Earth starts to run out of steam around weeks 4/5, which is generally okay, and I've always managed to finish with top quality. Now, though, I want to get a feel for how the yield changes when more nutrients are available. Unfortunately, I was a bit late with the Alga Bloom, so it's now being supported with minerals.

HaschHasch According to the breeder, the harvest is scheduled in 2 weeks, but I doubt it since the bud formation is currently stagnating. They will definitely need a few more weeks to mature. For the sake of the terpenes, the temperatures are being reduced now.

HaschHasch It's coming to an end, but I think you can leave them a little longer. Strangely, the Hindukush takes longer than the Cookie Casket. The trichomes of the CC are mostly milky now, but there's still a bit of amber (on the sugar leaves, it's about 90% amber), I've never had it like this before :P The trichomes of the HK are still relatively clear, but let's see what happens in a week. I’d like to avoid letting the Cookie Casket get overripe since the HK definitely pushes you into the couch, so I need something to pull me back out of it 😂

HaschHasch Beautiful strain, dense and resinous buds, but it takes longer than what the breeder indicated. I'm excited for the full indica power; it smells fantastic with lovely hashy and lemony notes. Will definitely grow it again 👍🏻
