I tried to start 2 of each, but only one of each survived. First time I have ever had a Mephisto bean not sprout, and 2 out of 4 dies... The survivors look happy and healthy. On nice sunny days I like to take my autos outside to spend time with their succulent friends.
The double grape is much taller, and starting to show sex. Fighting between wind burn and heat, but I am pleased with everything so far. Not perfect but they both seem happy overall.
I did a little defoliation on Day 41. Both girls seem happy. The Double Grape is starting to smell like a cross between chocolate and cheese. Her main cola is already a monster.
I am very thrilled about how these girls are turning out. The Double Grape is going to be something special. If you lightly brush her with your fingers they are covered in sticky glue like oil, and I dont know if you can tell by the pics, but she is iced out with crystals. I think this will be my most successful grow ever in quality and in weight. I think I will stop using what little nutrients I have been giving them for the rest of the grow. They dont seem to need it and I want a pure taste that matches the smell. The Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil needs almost nothing from seed to harvest. The mail cola on the double grape is almost the size of my arm. Even if they dont fatten up anymore, this is going to be a great harvest.
Pure water and a little Molasses at this point on. The 3 bears OG is putting on a lot of weight. I did a little trimming this week. What do you think? Another week or 2?
Gave them both a big trim today (Day 63). My gut says they are ready for harvest, but I will let them go a few more days. I want a heavy Indica couch lock effect. Pain relief is the main goal here. I thought that the Double Grape would be the biggest producer, but now I think that the 3 Bears will be the champ. We will find out soon enough.
Harvested on Day 69! I will upload a review and dry weights as soon as she cures. This looks and smells too good to rush it and cheat with smoking too soon.
She ended up producing more than the double grape, I am surprised. I will update all the info I can as soon as she has dried and cured. Next up is a CBD strain.
