Your seedlings look fine. The first 3 weeks always seems to drag on a bit slowly. I would start by leaving the light on for 18 hours a day. A couple of your seedlings are a little stretched which means they are reaching for more light. There is no way to say exactly how low you should have the lights heat can be a big issue with your delicate seedlings. I would definately drop it down to 48" then slowly lower it about 6" every few days to take it down to 36". if the respond well and no signs of wilting take it down to 30" etc. Some growers go closer I've seen some as low as 15-20" but not everyone has the same setup. But wait until they have a larger root system before you try. Always do it gradually when you will be able to watch their reaction. Good luck hope this helps.

@Saber hi mate they are autoflowering seeds so they will go to flower regardless of size What you should now do is focus on a feeding regime suited for blooming ie P+K Happy Growing

Like the others said. Feed her with bloom nutes and get some bud! Have you given any nutrients yet? Next time focus on 2/4 plants in much bigger pots. They will be bigger especially under only 400w

The size and health of the plants will never dictate your question. You have to consider the nutrients accordingly to the stage of growth they are in. Now your pistils are out which means the plant wants to produce her fruits so she will need more Phosphorous and Potassium and less Nitrogen. Only thing you can control now is the flower development. Super Lemon is a fantastic strain btw, you'll love it if you give it a proper cure you'll taste and smell the limonene terpenes ;)

I agree with @Shmok2004, and @Philindicus, decrease your light distance. With my LED lights (324 real watts) I shoot for 15-20" to control stretch. I would pull the humidifier out of the center if it's blocking the light to any of the cups. I find it works better for me to locate the humidifier in my setup just outside of the grow area, and let the fans pull the humidity into the room. But they look like they are on pace in soil to me.

I agree they are stunted. It looks like they need more nutrients because the lower leaves are turning yellow.I'm going to say nitrogen and maybe phosporus right now.. What kind of fertilize and how much/often are you using it? They are definately starting to bloom you will problably wind up with one small main cola with a few smaller buds around the lower areas but don't write them off. I've seen some crazy red solocup weed grows with some really nice buds. Also are you using a ph meter? What is your water ph your putting into her pots? Even though they are in bigger pots the roots will never grow to fill the pot so you still need to watch how much you are watering them what will happen is the top of the pot will dry out but the bottom will stay wet/ moist. If your trying to keep things simple some folks are using one part feeds like maxibloom Megacrop etc. Along with recharge for beneficial microbes. They seem to have good luck using this regime.

@Saber, I see your in Iran. It would probably be difficult to get these commercial nutrients to your country. You may have to go organic on your next grow and try to make your own "Super soil". But for now if there is a garden store or farmers supply store you may be able to find some fish emulsion fertilizer and or seaweed fertilizer or sometimes it comes mixed together I'm not sure how to say it in Farsi. If it is available use it at 1/4 dose the first few times to see if she greens up it has more nitrogen (N) than phosphorus (P) and potassium(K). Fertilizers usually list N-P-K ratios. The following are ideals. For seedlings 2-1-2 . For vegetative growth (once you see 5 bladed leaves) 4-2-3. Late veg 7-5-5. Early bloom 5-10-7 Mid/late bloom 3-10-10. Late bloom 0-3-3 Last 2 weeks flush. There are a lot of opinions in regards to NPK ratios. You have to find what works best for you. When growing auto flower you need to start them with 1/4 strength nutrients and slowly work your way up to higher doses. Typically during the mid/late point of bloom you will be using about a maximum of 1/2 strength nutrients. If you cant find a variety of npk nutrients you can just go with a balanced fertilizer which would be 5-5-5 or 10-10-10 and try to dilute it down to the range you need. Lastly you can use animal manure like composted chicken, cow, goat, bat guano, etc. you need to be careful because they are usually high in nitrogen and can burn your plants roots. There are recipes on the internet to make your own soils and organic teas (liquid fertilizer) good luck I hope this helps and gives you a few ideas. I wish this site would show where people are from so growers in your area can tell you where to find supplies.

@Philindicus, thanks for helping,I don't have PH meter ,I ask someone here and say it's because of poor light ,and someone else sayed it's because of poor soil, and I confused for them .

@Saber, yes looks like you starting to flower. Really we could use a bit more information on what your feeding to make better calls. @philindicus has hit the major points, you'll do better checking the Ph and TDS of your water, then adding nutes to keep from over feeding, but right now it I would give a healthy dose of Micro + Bloom and a bit of Gro too. How much would be hard for me to say given the unknowns.
lilbp420
lilbp420commented6 years ago
@Saber, Sorry I wont have all the answers, but i know you can make all the nutes you need from recipes on the net. In fact you can probably source some good recipes out of this site (although it's not really built for that type of query). A few links from a quick search https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/alternatives-to-ph-up-and-ph-down.40325/ https://www.cannabis.info/en/blog/how-to-make-your-own-fertilizer There are more complete guides out there to make fertilizer with the table mess we throw away and pay to have hauled to the dump.

As they started flowering you should also give flowering nutrition from now on, at best you follow your feed chart for your nutes. Let´s hope they will stretch during flower.

@Saber, ok, thats a lot. :) You should start with just one of those 400 Watts lights BEcause, for the first 2 Weeks one is enough light. So you can get closer. And after one or two weeks, add the other lights. 1200 Watt for the start ins´t neccesary at all. Waste of power, money. got some new pictures?
lilbp420
lilbp420commented6 years ago
@Saber, that's cool, don't go as low is I do of course, but i still think you have to get closer. I would just keep watch temps and getting the lights closer, rather than make her stretch for it.

The N-P-K on the fertilizer is not really ideal but it's better than nothing. I would cut back on the amount just use 1/3-1/2 strength. The amount of phosphorus is very high and could be locking out other nutrients like manganese, magnesium etc. When the plants are flowering they like a bit more calcium, magnesium and potassium. Natural sources are unsulfured molasses if you can find it where you are. 1 tablespoon per gallon of water.

Philindicus
Philindicuscommentedweek 85 years ago
@Saber, Yes you can use your bloom nutrients. What were you able to come up with for nutes? What is the N-P-K of the nutes? I see your still struggling with heat issues. I guess when it's over 100 F outside it's not helping you out much even running an air conditioner. I would suggest only running your lights on 18 hours a day and 6 hours off. Try changing the time on during the coolest part of the night and off during the hottest time of day. They will like having a bit of rest and this could allow them to cool down. It would be nice to have a 7 F to 10 F day night temperature drop your at 5 F which is bare minimal.Keep in mind that if you are using a HPS high pressure sodium bulb they put out more infrared light which will cause the leaf temperature to be 8- 10 degrees higher than the room temperature which can stress them out a lot.It is very possible the leaf temperature is close to 90 F. The reason you want lower temperatures and proper humidity levels is it will cause the leaves to open their stoma located under the leaves when the lights are on. The stoma take in Co2 to create photosynthesis activity. If leaf temperatures are too high and the humidity too low the stoma will close which will also slow down how much water and nutrients can be pulled through the roots. This translates into your having "Leaf Vapor Pressure Deficit" issues. At those temperatures you would need a very high humidity level which would be bad for the buds and cause mold issues. These heat issues will simply cause smaller loose looking buds and it can burn off terpenes effecting the smell, taste and potency of the bud. You have some very difficult growing conditions to deal with. Some tropical/desert growers take a break and grow during the cooler seasons to maximize their grows. Good luck I will continue checking in on you.

Forgot to say you can use a fresh water ph test kit from a pet store that sells tropical fish. It should use a ph range of 6.0 to 7.6 typically. Test your tap water first you would like the ph to be between 6.0 to 6.5 for soil grows if it is too high you can use a few drops of white vinegar or lemon juice (acidic) to lower it. To raise it you can use Sodium bicarbonate but use it sparingly excess sodium is not good for plants. Also if your water has chlorine in it leave it out in a bucket overnight stirring it several times for the chlorine to gas off.

The one plant that's really yellow looks like the leaves are drooping down a bit it is a sign of over watering. The root system is still very small for the size of the pot. More than likely the lower and middle of the pot is still wet when the top starts to dry out. If you lift the pot you can get an idea of how heavy or light it is to help give you an idea when to water. Let them dry out a bit more than usual then stick your finger into the soil up to your first knuckle to see if it is dry. Using both of these ways to gauge when to water. If the soil is too wet the roots can't pull in nutrients properly. Everyone is guilty of over watering at some point or another.

Philindicuscommentedweek 36 years ago
Yes at least use a fan a light breeze will help, an air conditioner would be better. Since they are in veg still you can also use a cool mist humidifier to increase your humidity it may help them out a bit don't let it blow on your light/bulb. The leaf temperature is the real issue if your at 86 F the leaf temperature is even higher. Put a thermometer at about the height of the top leaves. Heat could stress them out and cause them to be stunted. Looks like if your going to try to put them in larger pots this would be a good time.

With heavy soil it's easy to over water you can try to add 25-30% perlite to your soil mix to allow it to drain better when you re-pot them
Philindicus

They look good. You just need to be careful when growing auto flower that you don't stunt them by leaving them in a small container for too long. Most growers start autos in their final pot size. I would consider moving them into larger pots soon. For smaller autos 2 - 3 gallon pots are usually large enough for XL -XXL varieties 5 gallons would be more suitable.
