Captain_Greenout December 27 2025 - Germinated directly in soil. A day behind the other SSKush.
This was a freebie feminized seed from QCS, labelled as SSKush. The description on their website states it is a cross between OG Kush and Sour Diesel, with a sweet and sour blueberry taste. It's not listed on grow diaries at all, so I'm labelling it as "Sour Kush" Since I cannot find any information on breeder, origins, etc., but this is certainly not the original Sour Kush / Sour OG, hence SSKush.
Captain_Greenout Day 14 - she's doing okay so far. The seed may have been rather old.

Captain_Greenout Day 21 - She's a little smaller than #1, but with less deformities. There's no smell yet, and stem rub has a mild sour berries smell, no diesel to speak of (with either of them). So far there's not a lot of vigor, but sometimes they find their legs once they go into flower.

Captain_Greenout Day 28 - Overall she's in okay health and showing pistils at the node where she was topped today. As with #1 her color is very light, so additional cal-mag-iron nutrients have been added into the mix to try and green-up the top of the plant a little.
By this time next week I expect her to be stretching, but at a current height of ~4.5 inches it's not looking very promising.

Captain_Greenout [Day 35] - Today was haircut day, getting pre-stretch lolli-popping out of the way now before the stretch, as well as a 2nd topping to help keep the canopy even.
She is still not showing any signs of vigor, and so I've decided to reduce the number of tops as a last ditch effort. It's a freebie seed, no loss if I have to chop her.

Captain_Greenout I've decided to transplant her into the compost, as she struggled from seed and never really recovered. She had the exact environment, soil, nutes, etc as her sister, but at some point you gotta make a call. I would rather not risk having a stressed plant randomly start to herm and ruin the other two plants in the tent, since they are doing really well at this time and quality beats quantity every day of the week.
🌿😍 Beautiful plants and great attention to detail! Respect for the consistency 👊🔥 Wishing you a heavy harvest! Also, I post grow videos on YouTube—support is always appreciated 💚📺
