Redweasel Placed 4 seeds in Root Riot cubes that were soaked in distilled water mixed with a pinch each of horticultural coconut water powder, horticultural aloe powder & real growers recharge. These were placed in an AC Infinity XL Clone Dome with the light set on the lowest setting from 7am to 1am. Dome was misted with distilled water & replaced. A vivosun heat mat was placed under the unit with the probe located inside a root riot cube located inside the dome. Heat Mat temp set to 78°F.
I use Kansas City Missouri tap water that is running through 6 floors of 60+ year old piping. Kansas City tap water alone tests awful.
I ran 50 gallons through a RO filter system with a chloramine filter add on to fill my reservoir.
Reservoir has the addition of a submersible fountain pump set by mechanical timer to run 15min per hour.

Redweasel All four seeds germinated.
Dusted the Root Riot cubes with Extreme Gardening Mykos & Azoz. Transfered cubes to clear 16oz solo cups containing Build a Soil Heady Start & placed those in solid color solo cups, both cups have holes for drainage.
Watered in with plain distilled water mixed with a pinch each of Recharge, aloe, & coconut water powder.
The cups were then placed in the clone dome under 20 DLI & 78°F on the heat mat. Heat mat probe placed in a solo cup containing the same substrate & moisture level as the seedling cups.
Remaining watering mix added to the clone tray for subirrigation.

Redweasel Selected the two seedlings that were closest in vigor & structure. No contact direct transplant into 7 gallon grassroots lined living soil containers after dusting root balls with Mycos & Azos.
Removed straw mulch to soak in plain water. Raked in a top dress of 1/2 cup worm castings, 1/4 cup craft blend & 2 tbsp Kiss My Frass, & sprinkled in a small amount of Kashi Gold in each container.
Watered in with 1/2 gallon 6.5ph 11ppm reservoir water, focusing on the perimeter, split between the two containers. Wetted mulch replaced with the chopped remains of the two unselected plants mixed in.

Not much to do this morning except to record data & water. Next week we will begin the real fun stuff.
We definitely have two distinct expressions, which is exciting. Cover crop emerging.
Plants received their first full watering since transplant.
Hand watered the perimeter of each container with a full 1/2 gallon of plain 6.5ph 11ppm plain water, mixed with 1/2 tsp each of Recharge, aloe powder & coconut water powder.
Tray2Grow will be activated Sunday morning, & that will begin the cycle of Sunday through Wednesday evening Tray2Grow irrigation, with Wednesday evening & Saturday morning hand watering. Tray2Grow will deactivate Wednesday evening to Sunday morning.

Redweasel Both plants topped above the 4th node with everything below & all fans removed using a torch sterilized trimmer.
Tops soaked in reservoir water with a pinch each of Recharge, Azos, aloe & coconut water powder, dipped in clone-x, then placed in Root Riot cubes that are contained in an ACI clone dome set at 75°F. Dome lights set at level 2.
Bud clips applied to each branch & trunk manipulating to 90° angles.
Cover crop chop & dropped. All material removed from plants salad chopped & added to the mulch layer of respective container.
Hand watered both containers with 1/2 gallon 6.5 ph, 11 ppm, plain reservoir water mixed with 1/2 tsp each of coconut water powder, horticultural aloe powder, Azos & Recharge. Tray2Grow remains inactive until Sunday morning.

Redweasel When attempting living soil in smaller containers, replenishing soil nutrients & refreshing biology often is an absolute necessity to keep root expansion & activity from stagnation. I top dress heavily every three weeks.
Total Tent Entry Time-40 min
Cover crop chop & dropped then integrated into existing straw mulch.
Top dress of 2 cups worm castings, 1 cup Build a Flower, 1/2 cup Craft Blend, 1/4 cup Kashi Gold, 2 tbsp Ocean Blend, 2 tbsp Kiss My Frass, blended together & mixed into mulch/cover crop layer.
6 cups of reclaimed & re-ammended soil, with fresh nematodes mixed in, used to cover mulch/cover crop/top dress layer of each pot.
Hand watered each container with 1/2 gallon plain 6.5 ph/11 ppm reservoir water, mixed with 1/2 tbsp each of Azos, coconut water powder, & quillaja saponaria extract powder.
Finally, added a 3/4 inch layer of fresh straw mulch that has been chopped to 1 inch lengths, & soaked in 3/4 gallons reservoir water mixed with 1/2 tsp each of coconut water powder, quillaja, & 1/4 tsp Recharge, giving me Azos at the root zone & recharge at the mulch level while keeping them apart.
DLI raised to 31
VPD raised to 0.90-0.95 kPa
Worm activity high in both containers & even saw some juveniles in the cap layer.
