Germination
7mo ago
TurtleInWeed Nicole Kush landed with me as a Mystery Seed from the Zamnesia Tribe. After some research, I really liked the genetics – both the profile and the growth characteristics, and that was the deciding factor for bringing her into the tent for this run. This grow is also planned as a relaxed "only water" bio-run, implemented with BioTabs NL in combination with my Blumat system. The goal is to enable a consistent, natural development under stable conditions. Instead of intervening as early as possible, the focus is on a clean base, healthy root development, and a calm process that allows the plant to show its potential. 🌱 Germination & Start – Day 1–2 | Nicole Kush After germination in the cotton pad, the seed was checked as soon as the taproot was visibly developed. Then, Nicole Kush was directly placed into the prepared planting hole and lightly covered with substrate to allow the young root a stress-free start. The final pot (20 L) was filled with a self-assembled substrate mix from existing leftovers, which I believe provides a very good foundation for a bio-grow with BioTabs NL. In the first few days, the clear focus here is on establishing in the substrate; everything else can develop step by step.

TurtleInWeed 🌱 Week 1 (Day 8–14) After the first seven days, I noticed a little stretch. Nothing crazy, but enough to raise the light to 35%. The distance is about 45 cm, and since then the ladies have been looking much more relaxed. Nicole has reached about 10 cm. I've been watering very moderately with around 30 ml every three days – better too little than too much at this stage. On Day 10, there was the first little highlight: white roots at the edge of the cup 👀 Since the cups are transparent, I quickly crafted something to keep the roots from getting light. Improvised, but it does the job. By Day 14, the roots were clearly ready to move. I didn't hesitate long, decided to go for it, and repotted right away. After going through the BioTabs NL schedule, the ladies were already in their final 20 L pots. All relaxed, no stress. So far, everything is running completely stress-free. The plants look healthy, are growing evenly, and show no signs of trouble. Just the way it should continue.

TurtleInWeed 🌱 Nicole Kush – Veg Week 2 (Day 15–21) Nicole continues to show a rather unusual but exciting growth pattern. The leaves are somewhat misshapen and noticeably longer than the others, overall less compact – however, this seems more genetically determined than problematic. I'm really liking the structure so far. After transplanting, she settled in quickly and shows no signs of stress. She's growing steadily and looks healthy. If this keeps up, there's nothing standing in the way of some light LST in the next few days. 💧 Watering & Setup Day 13: 1 L filtered, dechlorinated water, pH 6.5 1 g Bactrex 10 ml Orgatrex Day 19: 650 ml water, pH 6.5 (without nutrient solution) Veg Week 2 went smoothly overall, the plants have settled well into their 20 L pots.

TurtleInWeed Nicole Kush is currently the biggest plant in the tent and is stretching noticeably more than the others. Topping was necessary here, and a poorly lit node as well as two bothersome leaves were removed. Everything was done over several days to keep stress low. So that was also the last use of the scissors in veg. On day 25, watered with 1 L of filtered, dechlorinated tap water.

TurtleInWeed 🌳 Nicole Kush: Week 4 Veg (Day 29-35) Nicole is just The Machine. All six main stems are almost at the same height, growing extremely uniform and really forgiving of any intervention. She loves topping and HST, an absolute mainlining candidate. She has already reached the net height. That's why on Day 33 there was some FIMing and two additional bends on the stems, which shot up rapidly. She reacts as if nothing happened, just keeps going full throttle. Very thirsty on the way. Shows slightly light tips, which could be from the rapid growth or she might be signaling some Cal/Mag needs. As a precaution, on Day 34, I gave 0.3 ml/L CalMag (BioBizz). Otherwise, she causes zero problems. Just stable, strong, and eager to grow. Just how you want it. 💧 Watering Protocol Day 28: 2L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated Day 31: 2L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated Day 34: 2.5L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated + 0.3 ml/L CalMag (BioBizz)

@Mia_BIOTABS, thanks! Could definitely be a top-10 candidate – the terpene profile and effect are on point for sure👌.
