PapaTerps British Delight - Wizard Trees
The world has been a pretty cr**py place lately, so I thought I'd start 2026 with some premium phenotypes to boost my mood!! I'm really excited for this one, because its the first time I've seen "pastry" in a flavour profile for a phenotype, and its specifically why I've chosen her as the second of SIX "premium brand" strains for my first grow of 2026. I also liked the physically calming affect it gives.
Day 1 - seed dropped into a plain glass of RO tap water, pH'd to 6.3. I'm using the floating method, so the seed will stay in the glass until a taproot appears - this has always been my "go-to" method - I had been experimenting with the different variants of the paper towel method, but the germination rates weren't pretty cr*p, so I've returned to this method, which I have 100% germination rates with. 🙏
Day 3 - a nice Taproot has appeared from the seed, so she has been moved into her starter pot.
Day 5 - she has sprouted! 🎉 Last night, I brushed some dirt from the top of the starter pot, to help the seeling sprout and this morning I woke up to she she had popped her seed and had grown around 3cm up towards the light 💪🏻 I will leave her here for a couple of more days until she is strong enough to transfer her to her main grow pot.
Day 7 - I have transplanted her into her main grow pot, a light weight 16L fabric pot. She will spend the rest of her lifecycle here
Day 9 - She is progressing nicely, her first set of leaves are set in and she is now growing the first node. I expect her to be in veg within the next few days 🙏🏻

Day 13 - She has started to develop her central node and is working on her third set of leaves, so from here, I consider her "in veg" 🎉🎉. I've watered her with 250ml of RO tap water with nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. I'll let her grow for the next week or so, at this stage, there isn't much work to be done aside from watering her 👌🏻

Day 22 - I've watered her with 500ml of RO tap water with nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. She is progressing well in her grow, she was showing signs of calcium deficiency in her starter leaves, so I've upped the CalMag by a point or two and that has resolved the issues - this happens a lot for me, where I expect the All Mix to have enough nutrients for the first two weeks, but the leaves still rust, so I need to remember to always add CalMag in from the off; RO has its drawbacks... I removed a couple of leaves from her to allow more light to reach the lower nodes, but other than that, I'm just letting her grow for now 👍🏻

Day 27 - I've watered her with 1L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually in descending order and pH'd to 6.3. She is big enough to start some LST, so I removed her top most fan leaves and used four tent pins to train her four lowest stems down and away from her main stem - this is to encourage the lower stems to grow out towards the edges of the pot, so when she starts to stretch, it should naturally allow more light penetration at at the lower bud sites; the lollipop method will also be used later, to remove any budsites that don't get enough PPFD. I've used this style of training multiple times with great success, see my Runtz Auto or my Black Cherry Gushers Diaries for an example 👍🏻

Day 34 - I've watered her with 1500ml of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order, and finally pH'd to 6.3.
She has vegged really well and is at point now where I'm preparing her to go into bloom. I wanted a nice even canopy to work with, so I've decided to top her at the main stem, to force her to grow in a more uniform manner - as I grow for my own personal supply, I won't top her more because I don't need a huge yield and I like variety, so I want to be able to grow up to four plants at once... I've also removed a couple of her inward facing fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration 👌🏻
