PapaTerps British Delight - Wizard Trees
The world has been a pretty cr**py place lately, so I thought I'd start 2026 with some premium phenotypes to boost my mood!! I'm really excited for this one, because its the first time I've seen "pastry" in a flavour profile for a phenotype, and its specifically why I've chosen her as the second of SIX "premium brand" strains for my first grow of 2026. I also liked the physically calming affect it gives.
Day 1 - seed dropped into a plain glass of RO tap water, pH'd to 6.3. I'm using the floating method, so the seed will stay in the glass until a taproot appears - this has always been my "go-to" method - I had been experimenting with the different variants of the paper towel method, but the germination rates weren't pretty cr*p, so I've returned to this method, which I have 100% germination rates with. š
Day 3 - a nice Taproot has appeared from the seed, so she has been moved into her starter pot.
Day 5 - she has sprouted! š Last night, I brushed some dirt from the top of the starter pot, to help the seeling sprout and this morning I woke up to she she had popped her seed and had grown around 3cm up towards the light šŖš» I will leave her here for a couple of more days until she is strong enough to transfer her to her main grow pot.
Day 7 - I have transplanted her into her main grow pot, a light weight 16L fabric pot. She will spend the rest of her lifecycle here
Day 9 - She is progressing nicely, her first set of leaves are set in and she is now growing the first node. I expect her to be in veg within the next few days šš»

Day 13 - She has started to develop her central node and is working on her third set of leaves, so from here, I consider her "in veg" šš. I've watered her with 250ml of RO tap water with nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. I'll let her grow for the next week or so, at this stage, there isn't much work to be done aside from watering her šš»

Day 22 - I've watered her with 500ml of RO tap water with nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. She is progressing well in her grow, she was showing signs of calcium deficiency in her starter leaves, so I've upped the CalMag by a point or two and that has resolved the issues - this happens a lot for me, where I expect the All Mix to have enough nutrients for the first two weeks, but the leaves still rust, so I need to remember to always add CalMag in from the off; RO has its drawbacks... I removed a couple of leaves from her to allow more light to reach the lower nodes, but other than that, I'm just letting her grow for now šš»

Day 27 - I've watered her with 1L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually in descending order and pH'd to 6.3. She is big enough to start some LST, so I removed her top most fan leaves and used four tent pins to train her four lowest stems down and away from her main stem - this is to encourage the lower stems to grow out towards the edges of the pot, so when she starts to stretch, it should naturally allow more light penetration at at the lower bud sites; the lollipop method will also be used later, to remove any budsites that don't get enough PPFD. I've used this style of training multiple times with great success, see my Runtz Auto or my Black Cherry Gushers Diaries for an example šš»

Day 34 - I've watered her with 1500ml of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order, and finally pH'd to 6.3.
She has vegged really well and is at point now where I'm preparing her to go into bloom. I wanted a nice even canopy to work with, so I've decided to top her at the main stem, to force her to grow in a more uniform manner - as I grow for my own personal supply, I won't top her more because I don't need a huge yield and I like variety, so I want to be able to grow up to four plants at once... I've also removed a couple of her inward facing fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration šš»

Day 41 - I've watered her with 2L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order, and finally pH'd to 6.3. This week, she has been moved from the veg tent, to the flowering tent, so she is now on a 12 hour light schedule. Much like the Wizard Fuel, she has already started the stretching phase of flower and has nearly doubled her size in 48 hours šš» So far, these girls have blown me away with their genetics, so impressive compared to other brands that I've grown šš» because she is stretching, I dont want to stress her too much, so I'll be keeping the training and defoliation to a minimum until she finishes her stretch and moves on to the bulking phase šš» so far, really good!!

Day 48 - Watered with 2L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually and in order, then finally pH'd to 6.3. She is still in her stretching phase, so I haven't done much with her yet. The topping I performed on her a week or so before I put her into flower, has allowed her to grow a nice even canopy with six distinct stems. When she finishes her stretch, I will lollipop her and defoliate to improve both light penetration and airflow šš»

Day 63 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! She has pretty much finished her stretch and is now focusing on developing her bud sites! She very very bushy and with big heavy fan leaves, so she'll require a good amount of defoliation later in the week, but for now I wanted to give her a couple of days to rest because she has only just finished the stretching phase... I'll update this week to show the progress she's made, but for now, I'm just going to let her be š

Day 77 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! Week 6 of flower and she's growing good, she's very bushy so I had to remove a lot of foliage from her, especially at her canopy level, as it was blocking the whole plant from receiving sufficient light š as a result, she's the shortest plant in the tent, so she'll have to be raised up to meet the rest of the canopy - let's hope she starts bulking fast now šš»

Day 84 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! Week 7 of bloom and shes doing pretty good, but she is very very bushy around her bud sites, I might need to do a big defolation session on her this week, but for now I've just removed the larger fan leaves to allow more light and airflow š I've increased the nutrients in her feed to give her a boost in these final few weeks! She looks and smells fantastic, but I'm a little worried about how much flower I'll get from her... She's covered from head to toe in trichomes, but its mostly sugar leaves from what I can see... a little disapointing, but it is what it is... I was going to start prepping her for harvest next week, but I might just let her go for another week, just to be sure she gets the most out of it š

Day 98
šæ She has been watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! She's just about a week or so away from harvest, so Ive reduced her nutrients over the last two waterings, so she is just getting the ActiVera and BioHeaven at the moment šŖš»
āļø She has been given another round of defoliation this week, mainly focusing on removing fan leaves and larger sugar leaves from around her flower, so that any shaded areas are now exposed to light - this is to ensure her flower matures as much as possible before harvest šš»
šø Her flower is looking so beautiful, with the late bloom colour change around the cola and the maturing of her pistils and calyx, she looks very dark and stormy! Her aroma is filling the tent now too, with smells that transport you to a French patisserie; creamy sweet pastries š. Around 90% of her trichomes have turned milky with around 5% amber and clear each, basically all of her pistils have turned amber, so I will complete this week of flush and then she will be harvested šš»
Her flower is so beautiful, with the late bloom colour change around the cola and the maturing of her pistils and calyx, she looks very dark and stormy! Her aroma transports you to a French patisserie, with notes of creamy sweet pastries! She was a little more challenging to grow compared to the Wizard Fuel, because of ther leaf coverage and her sensitivity to environmental changes, so I would recomment only growing this one during the regular season, as humidity and temperature changes in early spring led to some bud-rot, thankful I caught it just in time so it didn't affect the plant, but if I had left it another day or two, it probably would have spread to the whole tent... for this, I gave her an 8/10, but if I had nailed the climate, it probably would have been a 10

Day 104
šø All of her trichomes have at least turned cloudy, with around 5-10% amber and all of her pistils have turned amber, so she is ready to be harvested šš»
šæ She has been watered twice this week, with 3L of plain RO tap water pH'd to 6.3! She's was left to dry back about three days ago and is now ready for harvest šŖ
āļø As she is being harvested today, I've given her a complete wet trim, removing all stems fan leaves and I've trimmed all sugar leaves š She had what looked to be the start of a little bit of bud-rot on one of her buds, so I've removed that entire stem and threw it in the bin; lucky it was the furthest stem on the plant and wasn't in contact with any other flower, so it was a one chop fix - we're also lucky that today was harvest day, otherwise I might not have caught it in time š I've checked all other bud sites on the plant as well as the other plants in the tent and it seems to have been an isolated insident š·
