phat_mike Moving back to indoors after a couple mixed outdoor seasons. Tried the paper towel method instead of planting direct in the soil. Could not believe it, all 3 popped one day later. Followed Seed Cellar's advice on using a .5% H2O2 solution, and shaking the seeds in a matchbox with some 60 grit (coarse) sandpaper.
Took some left over 70/30 coco-perlite and mixed a touch of worm castings together for the starter pots. Will transplant once they mature a bit into 2 city pickers (think of it as a more square earthbox, but ~1.5 cu ft of soil). For these, I amended an old coots mix with ~1 cup of Build A Soil's Craft Blend, along with mycorrhizae and more worm castings. Planted some clover as a cover crop. Watered in with some horticultural coconut, RootWise Mycrobe Complete, and quillaja extract for a wetting agent. A lot of this stuff is left over from when Northern Lights grow store closed down.
Excited to try out the Moon Fog, would like to get some clones out of these later to supplement the outdoor season.
