CyberOtter420 Welcome Welcome.... For record though i would do a diary or two (albeit started a little late.) There will be another diary for the next grow (that will be interesting!!) but this is Girl Scout Cookies. Currently in Week 5 of flowering (Day 33) The grow areas are a bit of a work in progress. Learning along the way ive found i need to maximise head room which in a 1600 tent is no easy feat and so to acheive the most ammount of height ive had to switch from Oxypot DWCs to a custom temporary bucket after the last one finished with yet another new one for the next grow! This is actually the 3rd Grow in this area and by trial and error ive found my lights were giving an uneven distro causing an uneven canopy. This spilled over into this grow thats why she is a bit horky borky in canopy, but a new Omega light is in now, this should help with the next grow... For now ive angled it down a touch to try and reach into the back low spots. also added some suplimental Full Spec LED Bars for the lower foliage. I made a bit of a mistake with high PPFD not long after topping and it streched like one'o ... She's very agressive and has responded well to everything bar cloning, that said i have got a clone off of her it just took a hell of a long time to root. At Day 23 flower she was lollipopped having all but stopped stretching, and the home stretch is in sight now... she's fattening up by the day. The smell when disturbed is almost turkish delight in scent... rub her stems though and its a pungent musky old school skunk smell. cant wait to see her finished, never had this strain so looking forward to it. Overall a healthy looking lady not had many problems but im quite critical of the final product.

CyberOtter420 GSC Mid Week 6 Flower. (Day 40) Fatten up for daddy!!!! The odd degraded orange hair starting to appear. Trichome density is rising as it fattens up. Smells pretty consistent atm, a pronounced sweet scent. Temps daily running at 25-26c night around 19c with RH generally in the mid to late 50s. Noticed some calcium deficiency, nothing new in hydro around this time of flower so dosed a bit of CalMag in the feed, I’ll continue this for a few weeks at 1ml p/l or until I see it react/darken on the leaves, also increased the fan speed for more airflow. You can see clearly that I’m on the vertical limit with this grow. The new light is however amazing - Perfect light distribution, probably the best investment so far. It’s advertised at 200w but consumes almost 250w at 100%... That said, I’m running it at 75%, PPDF is on the limit, not seeing much in the way of bleaching or mass leaf curling. Back of the hand test feels fine. Healthy enough for the age, looking like she smells Sweet! More to follow, happy growing!

CyberOtter420 Another week gone and another week closer! Welcome to Week 7…. Some chemical changes to the terpenes over the past week and I can see why she gets her name. The sweet smell has gone completely and the area now smells creamy, and warm dough with a herby note. At day 47 she is slightly ahead of my projections. A trichome check puts me at 100% cloudy on the canopy, 95% cloudy in the mid-level and 90% cloudy (best guesses) maybe more on the extreme lower. There is also single amber dotted about on the odd sugar leaf, but not the calyxes yet. She looks about 2 weeks off… Mid swell with each cola around 2.5 - 3 inch wide. I have it at 19 days left on my planner with an ambition to hit 30% amber. Won’t be far off. Guidance for this strain is 55-60 days (from showing pistils, genes determined ofc) This thing has been a solid rocket throughout and glad I have a clone of her. Disturbed, the smell explodes of Lemon citrus notes to start then rounding off to both a citrus and I still keep saying “Rose Turkish Delight” but its not a 100% match – its reminiscent of it… more depth! Layers of flavour profiles coming through. Its very alluring and sweet. The purple continues to spread which is due to the night temps dropping to 17c, and more pistils have degraded to amber. I’ve included a photo of the lollipop, flush time will be relatively short which I have charted at Day 60 to the cut date of 65. My copilot mate reckons she may finish as soon as Day 62… Will try to get a trichome photo for the next update. I have a microscope but with bugger all image stabilization on it, its hit and miss as to seeing detail, but live I get a good enough glimpse. Not long now!

CyberOtter420 Week 8 Flower, Day 53. The close of this is drawing near... thinking about this grow, I’ve had several breeder seeds over the years, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy Black Skull seeds again. Genetics are 10/10 and i cannot wait to sample her. Aggressive and beautifully pungent there’s no wonder the strain won a cup or two, and inside I’m smiling knowing the clone of her is next in line. I just hope she tastes and hits hard as good as she smells. The Smell! The ambient air, wafted around by the canopy fan is a deep and heavy doughy scent. Unmistakable from her name. Disturbed and the smell is sweet/sour lemony citrus, with a strength akin to lemon oil if not for the back notes of faint rose knocking that sharp edge off. I've noticed throughout this grow that changes occur in a wave from left to right, first it was the colour migration of green to purple, now it’s the bract swells. She's about done on the left and is now finishing, despite the large array of white pistils I’m seeing amber starting across the calyxes. The right side is visibly about a day, maybe a day and half behind the left side, you can see that from the bract development. Included are some trichome shots. The microscope as previously mentioned has no stability management and ignore the dates, it’s a shit Chinese special that holds nothing when the battery dies. My projected end date has always been around 65 days. From the looks of her i may be spot on for my amber target. Given her signals and patterns, I’m expecting a similar trichome ripening behaviour in a wave from left to right. When she starts pumping those amber numbers to around 15-20% I’ll start a flush. Given the lollipop I reckon a 5-day flush should do it. Included this time are some shots of the lower canopy, and one of the missed lollipop sites.. Unsurprisingly light and airy given that it’s almost a meter away from the light. The lower canopy curtesy of the supplemental lights have produced some nice sized popcorns. Trichomes are following suit but no amber on them, almost all cloudy. Not long to go!

CyberOtter420 Flowering Week 9 (Day 61) Some slight fox tailing but it’s in tolerance. The smell has deepened to a more earthy but still warm bakery scent. Trichomes are around the 5% amber mark, a few more on the finished calyx and as mentioned its behaviour is in a wave. Large portions of the cloudy trichomes are changing to a caramel cloudy tinge and im now checking daily aiming for around 30%. The flush has been done and its water only from here, a little yellowing of the fans as expected. To encourage trich finishing the lights have been dropped to 11/13 and power reduction to 75% on the canopy. The sub level lights are still at full power. 4 days on my predicted chop date but it will likely go a few days further, will see. Will have to wrangle the mainlined clone some more to give me a smidge more time if needed but at 8 weeks veg so far, shes going to make for an interesting flowering in my 700x700!

CyberOtter420 A double combined post as i didnt have time last week to update this... So here we go!!!! "Tinkerbell" as she's known as is done. I Stretched it a few more days but the clone adequately named "TinkyTonk" outgrew the veg area! She landing around 15-20% amber on the canopy Calxes, 80%+ on the sugar leaves at the time of cut. Oxidization will continue slightly during the cure and I should hit a very good middle between head and body. At the time of the cut, the ambient smell deepened to a peppery, earthy almost dirty, bakery scent, but disturbed and that blast of citrus was still very much there, a very sickly strong lemon & the rose still present on the back notes. Its been drying now for 9 days, RH was a little wild and I ended up buying a dehumidifier to get it below the 80% it was at (Danger Will Robinson!), house stunk for a day while the humidifier took it to the safe range of 63-65 as i had to drying door open. I managed to get a stable steady decrease in RH, removed the dehumidifier when the eco function was dipping the area to low and then slow on the air exchange after 9 days the plant material has dried to my 52% standard and is ready for curing. Total weight trimmed, cut and dried to 50% RH = 307g + prob about 50g more in foliage and trimmings as well as a load of the bottom chaff which will all go to make QISO. Smoke report. Still needs curing but i have sampled her and she is lovely! Its not at all what i has in my mind of the taste. All that lemon and i cant really taste it, what i get is mix of a Musky Floral/Herbal front end, then suprise suprise that Rose that ive been banging on about which would be the Linalool. Mint is nowhere to be seen. I can still taste or akin it to sort of a turkish delight but with a musky, skunky herbal bouquet. Over the years i have had a lot of strains. My favourite for flavour being the legendary Jack Herrer. Girl Scout Cookies has won a load of awards from different competitions and its clear why it won. A solid 10/10 and i will keep the liniage going for a while, the next i have already tweeked the flush and cut dates to push it into a heavier sedative zone. Is it better in taste than Jack? well no... We all have personalized experiences with flavours and individual perception of terpenes can vary significantly from person to person but i do like it! Its a very pleasurable stone.

The first seed of 3x was mutated, the second was a dud but the third... oh baby! As i said in the grow i will keep her liniage going. Bought some Sumo Boost for "TinkyTonk" to push her potential. The tasting notes are right on the money for this strain.. Citrus, Musky, Spicy, Herbal, Sweet I get Herbal Skunky Rose with a sweet smooth citrus rounding. It stinks! Cracked a tiny bit in my mates kitchen and phwoar! Had to open the window haha. Sweet, Citrus and Skunk. The stone is a good blend of head and body. I can work happily on it in lower doses - its not overly "Slap you into the couch" but at the same time, have a couple together in the evening and its a good 3-4hrs of stuck to your seat.

CyberOtter420 The end of the grow... Done this a little half baked - the images and the sum up is in the last post. but this will show it as complete. so doubled down on the pics 307g dry, take another 10-20% off for more moisture release during the cure. Somewhere in the 8-9 Oz bracket i reckon Should keep me going for a couple of months hahahaha

According to black skull before their website had a melt down, this is the original gene with a 60/40 genetic (heavier on the indica..) bit more sedating effect along with a taste profile change. This has a very sweet smell so far, disturbing her in the slightest gives off aromas akin to Turkish Delight and cherries but with a bit more complexity. The smell its self was a bit greenhouse, bit musky, bit sweet last week and this week its totally gone too just sweet. Cant wait to sample her, thanks for the comment and enjoy the journey... just a shame theres no Smell'o'vision hahaha

Yours looks like it has a different growth form, more indica like. The last grow I did was the original Thin Mint (GSC) which is the 50% durban 50% og cross. Ive noticed that this 50/50 cross was crossed again with GDP in later or others versions of what they call gsc. It seems to have lost the mint smell and flavor in the other versions. Im curious to how your grow turns out. Looks real good so far. Good work. growdiaries.com/video/342902
