We are 12 days into the journey to stake our claim in search for the fastest buds in the west!
After a week on the trail I woke up to find that one of the girls had some brown spots on her leaves. I thought she may have been ambushed by some wild engines in the night, but I popped the lid on the reservoir and saw cloudy water. I immediately knew then that we were safe from the indians, but we have some outlaw bacteria brewing in the system! Reached for the saddlebag and pulled out the ph test kit. As I suspected.... ph was up off the charts. Fortunately I loaded some hydrogen peroxide on the wagon before we left so I added 3 tsp of a 3% mixture per gallon of water and that took care of the issue pretty quick. Just goes to show that the trail can be rough when you are headed to the wild west. I am pretty sure this was caused by not washing the perlite well enough before reusing it. She is recovering well. Looks like we are back on the trail hopefully we can avoid any more bumps in the road.
I added a little more maxigro but not doing a water change this week. Want to let the peroxide run until I am sure there wont be any more bacteria issues.
@BuddingBudda, my theory is a combination of 24 hour light, a big pot for the roots, and hard training will make them veg longer. I really dont have enough experience with them to say though. Silky pulls off all 5 finger and more leaves and that keeps hers in veg longer. You will definitely like the yields on photos.
@Wicked_Stix,haha thats crazy, dont think any of my autos have gone past the 4 week mark, which is a shame as youd expect bigger yields doing that, trying my hand at photoperiods soon so ive got control over vegging π
@@Fingers, Im hoping for 4 oz on the big one if I can get her to swell up. I haven't had much luck on them fattening up in the end with this setup. Im thinking I need to find a stable PK booster to help with that?
@SwedenX, yes I use a 60x. These are at about 5% amber now. I am pretty new to autos still. Always heard they are low quality. Definitely changed my mind though.
@Wicked_Stix, ooooh that's what I like to hear, I spent a long time looking into what the best bang for buck LEDs were and the QBs seemed to be just that! I'm super impressed with my 96v2 so far, can't wait to get more!
