After a BPP finished last year with a terpene profile and bag appeal straight out of a storybook! The bar is set high, and if it can be surpassed, it can only be done with the new RF3 line! The grow tent has now arrived in 2026 and is connected via a controller to achieve stable VPD and PPFD values.
***Update**** It germinated on 2/13 and was planted in the 14L final pot on 2/15 with EPN mycorrhiza culture mix in Canna Terra Professional Plus soil.
INFORMATION about the strain:
Banana Purple Punch Auto RF3 is an impressive autoflowering strain from Fast Buds, extremely potent with up to 31% THC. RF3 (“Reversed F3”) means that genetically stabilized purple phenotypes have been secured – bud structure, terpene profile, and color are now more consistent. A fruit bomb of banana, tropical fruits & creamy sherbet with a slight gassy Kush touch.
The plants grow medium-tall (about 80–150 cm), show strong lateral branches, and produce thick, resin-coated buds. Indoors, this strain delivers impressive yields of 500-600 g/m², while outdoors, the potential is 80-300 g per plant. From germination to harvest, it takes about 8-9 weeks.

BlaKX High Growmies and welcome to the first week of BPP RF3!
Aside from the slight burns/deformations on the first seed leaves, it has developed well. Today, at the end of the first week, the BPP RF3 received 30 minutes of IR 730-745nm for the first time, split into 15 minutes before and after the main LED lighting. I made sure that the seedling doesn't get direct airflow from the fans. For the second week, it will get a light airflow to strengthen the stems. I'm absolutely thrilled and satisfied with the first week!

BlaKX Banana Purple Punch Auto RF3 🍌😈🥊3️⃣ has grown over 45cm in 21 days! You can see the first hairs and it's entering pre-flowering.
After 3 weeks, it's as tall as other autos when they're 4-5 weeks old^^

It's amazing how well this plant has developed; it has almost doubled in size in these 7 days and has already started to develop hairs just like the flower buds, which are even already purple!!! It's definitely going to break the 1m mark.

BlaKX I'm really excited about what the RF3 delivers! My last grow was with the regular BPP, and now the RF3 version puts the others in the shade! In just 35 days, it grew over 1m tall and already has buds covered in resin. Hopefully, it develops purple color now, and even if not, it's a monster compared to the autoflower dwarfs.

By reducing the light cycle to 18/6, the color has really intensified. Defoliation was necessary again, and the buds are getting nice and thick with resin production on the rise!
She's a true sight to behold 😈

This BPP RF3 pheno is just a sight to behold! With the pink and red pistils! Plus, there are almost no brown/orange pistils, they're all still snow white! It will definitely need another 2 weeks until harvest ;)

These colors and sizes of the buds from the BPP rf3 set standards!
By reducing the bloom fertilizer and increasing the BOOST, she has beautifully started to autumn and process her reserves in the 10 days since the last update.
Unfortunately, due to the foxtailing, it's difficult to take microscope pictures of the trichomes where you can see the ripe ones instead of the new glassy ones.
Otherwise, she will be ready for harvest by the weekend!

WOW, this BPP RF3 has exceeded my expectations and set a new personal autoflowering record yield of approximately 225g! The purple buds are glistening white with resin on the outside and purple-red, almost black, on the inside! The aroma is perfectly complemented by a sweet, wild berry, fruity scent that transitions into a sweet and sour floral undertone!
This strain demonstrates what modern RF3-generation autoflowers are capable of!

BlaKX Hi Growmies, there are still 7 days until I can harvest. I let the plant completely dry out after I watered it one last time with clear water. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well, which is why I hardly took any pictures and didn't do proper trimming. I will still post pictures of the buds and a smoke report.
The next grow is already set with the strains I will be growing: Guava Runtz Auto, Mendo Frost Auto, and Purple Lemonade RF3! Thanks, Fast Buds, for the opportunity to test the new strains!

@Kushycat, yeah I'm mainly focused on autos too. For example, I have a few strains, but I'm not going to make extra space indoors. I would just put them outside, like Grapefruit Auto Freezers Laser from V-Buds. What about you?

@BlaKX, Hmm yeah, I can kind of understand that. But I think I won't be putting out any autos anymore. If summer turns out to be as miserable again, you're just too limited. A few weeks of bad weather and you already have mold or similar problems.
Well, things can go wrong indoors too – just look at my disasters in the tent. 😅
In any case, it will be an early/fast variety, photoperiod. Either World of Seeds, Zamnesia, or Delicious Seeds – maybe just a mix of everything. ^^
