Laughing Buddha Clone (2019)(II)

178 days since being cloned. October 10th and I have a bit of mold (photo 10/11). I don’t really mitigate when I see mold, I just chop. Laughing Buddha has a mid to late October outdoor projected time, so I am almost at the window anyway. We are expecting rain for the next few days and so I think this is a smart time to harvest. This is the last look! I’ll try to do the bulk pre-sunrise tomorrow morning, but I may have to do some of the smaller bud tonight after sunset in terms of time available. This plant is very frosty in the mornings so waiting for the plant to sequester nutrients is worth it with this one. I am surprised by the lack of yellowing and general deficiencies, I really didn’t feed much all summer. I’m not sure if I just amended the soil sufficiently, or if the rare feeding was enough. Remember that this plant has a fun story, starting as a clone indoors, getting massive, and then getting transplanted into the ground as a mature plant. Direct comparison to indoor Laughing Buddha reveals that this strain does much better indoors. The buds are much leafier outdoors, and slightly less dense. Smell is similar in both instances - strong fuel like, pungent, sort of sour. Hopefully this plant doesn’t experience many hermaphrodite seeds [see: Hash Plant 2019 (IV) and Black Indica 2019 (II)]. My goal was to keep the plants below my perimeter fence line to hide away from a strong industrial light. My other outdoor plants were not very lucky. I’m also wondering if a stressed hermaphrodite produces seeds internally, or if it produces pollen and self pollinates. If it is the latter, I’m afraid the pollen would have fallen on Buddha as well. The projected high today was 18 degrees Celsius, the daytime length was 11hours16minutes.
