zorn_des_kinski After my previous rather experimental endeavors I will now return to a more traditional approach.
I'm planing to grow Mexican Sativa in a 12l fabric pot. I'm probably gonna top after 5 nodes and train with gardening staples or use a SCROG-net.
I'm looking forward to this new journey :D

zorn_des_kinski She's doing fine. I still keep the humidity dome on. From time to time I remove it for half an hour or so, so that she can get used to lower humidity.

zorn_des_kinski The plant was repotted into its final 12l fabric pot on 03.03.2026. I used 70% Terra Preta soil and 30% Perlite. The circulation fan was turned on and she's growing fine. Water is pH adjusted to 6.5 using potassium bicarbonate and I add a bit Epsom salt as well.

zorn_des_kinski With every grow I enjoy this period of the plants lifecycle a lot. Growth is gaining momentum as leave surface increases and the plant looks slightly different every day. I think I will let her do her thing for a couple more days and then top her between the 5th and 6th node.

zorn_des_kinski I topped her on tuesday right between 5th and 6th node. Next step will be to remove the large fan leaves that currently cover some of the emerging side shoots and to LST those.
The amount of epsom salt and potassium bicarbonate that I entered below is not actually correct. Grow Diary doesn't allow me to leave those entries empty.

zorn_des_kinski Large fan leaves were removed and side shoots were trained using gardening staples. I also thinned out the canopy to let light through to the lower nodes. The plant starts to smell pretty nice.

zorn_des_kinski On March 29th I switched to 12/12. In the last week I removed a lot of leaves and continued the training. So far I didn't remove any branches tho.

zorn_des_kinski I noticed the first white pistils on 7th of April so this is what I will consider the first day of flowering. The plant is developing very good with a pretty even canopy. The leaves look very healthy apart from ever so slightly burned tips. I reacted by diluting the 420Flow fertilizer from "x ml/1l" to "x ml/1.3l".

zorn_des_kinski On 14th of April I removed lower growth that was shaded and therefore would probably never reach the top. The shoots that made it to the top of the canopy are allowed to stay.
Thinking about using a SCROG-net to keep the two main shoots from shading lower growth.

zorn_des_kinski The fertilizer schedule is now at it's third and final phase. So far I'm very happy with the 420Flow fertilizers. This is definitely the easiest grow I had so far and the plant looks perfect. (I'm not affiliated with 420Flow in any way)

zorn_des_kinski Some of the lower leaves turn purple. I'm unsure if it's the beginning fade or maybe phosphorus deficiency. I slightly increased the amount of phosphorus that I give her.

zorn_des_kinski Leaves continue to turn purple and yellow but I think this is just natural fade. I feed her according to 420flow plan. pH of runoff is around 6.3, so there should be no pH related issue.
I treated myself to a new exhaust-fan. Previously I used a generic 100mm duct fan that you could push into the air duct, now I have a Vivosun AeroZesh S4. It was a bit difficult to fit the new fan into the small tent but I made it work.
I also got a fresh active-carbon-filter and new airducts as I suspected that the old ones had a leak somewhere.
With the new setup the temperature dropped by 4°C indicating a dramatically improved airflow even though I run the new fan only at level 3 out of 10.

zorn_des_kinski Bummer! While checking on the plant I found a few pollen sacks that had already opened. This is really unfortunate as the plant is otherwise doing perfectly fine. I'm not sure why this happened. I removed all pollen sacks as careful as possible but I think I have to expect at least some seeds. On the upside the plant developed an absolutely divine scent reminiscent of sweet jasmine tea.

zorn_des_kinski I think she's almost ready for harvest. I aim for an energetic, focused high so I'm fine with harvesting a bit early. Trichomes look mainly milky with some amber. So far I can't make out any seeds.
In a week I'm going on vacation so I'm trying to finish harvest and drying in that time. Since I won't be there to burb maison jars I will give grove bags a try this time.
zorn_des_kinski Harvested a bit early on 25th of May because I was going to go on vacation. My return flight got cancelled, so the harvest was dried a bit to much. Instead of using Grove Bags I ended up using a large mason jar in which I put two 62% Bovedas and an open plastic bag with wet paper towel to rehydrate the buds. This worked surprisingly well. I ended up with 44g dry weight from one plant.
In hindsight I should have just left the plant do her thing and harvest after my vacation but I'll take it as a learning.
@Stony_German, danke, ich hab auch damit gerechnet, dass die sich noch mehr streckt und sie deshalb früh in die Blüte geschickt. Denke mal ich hab einfach einen kompakteren Phänotyp erwischt
Phosphorus (P) deficiency. The plant accumulates sugars it can't process and "paints" itself. Either it's freezing cold or the pH is blocking the buffet.
Damn sorry to hear, throughout my years of growing I realized some plants just cant take on a manifold. Hope you get some nice buds and not so much seeds
