Green_Claws Week 5 (Veg): The Living Soil Symphony Status: Finally getting the logs up to date. We’re 5 weeks deep into this organic run, and the ecosystem is humming. She’s looking stunning—that deep, waxy organic green you just can't fake with bottled minerals. 🍃 The Training & Maintenance Post-Topping (Day 10): Topped her 10 days ago. The recovery has been seamless, proving the microbial life in the root zone is providing all the recovery fuel she needs. LST & Canopy Management: Put a few clips on to pull the new mains out. Airflow Pruning: Did some strategic leaf removal. In an organic canopy, things can get "jungle-thick" fast. I took out the problem leaves that were pressed tight against each other—essential for preventing micro-climates where PM (Powdery Mildew) could start. Thanks for dropping by .✌️ 💚

Green_Claws Week 6 (Veg) The Deep Dark & Mineral Charge 🌑🌋 Status: We have reached the finish line of the vegetative stage! 🏁 This week is all about the final "infusion" before the flip. I’ve officially moved the girls into a 48-hour dark period to crash the chlorophyll production and signal the plant to shift into flower mode immediately. 💤🌓 The Volcanic Mineral "Melt" The Recipe: Just like the lime trick, I’ve been watering with a mix of Lactic Acid and Volcanic Rock Dust 🌋. The Goal: Getting that organic Silica and trace minerals (basalt/azomite) deep into the soil. Silica is the "armor" for the plant—it strengthens the cell walls to support the heavy buds that are coming. 🛡️💪 The Result: By using the acid to help break down the rock, those minerals are hitting the roots now, rather than sitting as grit in the soil for months. 🏃‍♂️💨 🏗️ Structural Reinforcement The Strategy: The training wires are set, the canopy is wide, and the soil is fully charged with Alfalfa and Bone Meal from last week. 🥗🔋 The Blackout: 48 hours of total darkness 🌑. This "shocks" the plant into realizing the season is over, forcing it to stretch and stack pistils much faster once the 12/12 light cycle begins. ⏳🌸 🌿 The Outlook The tent is silent and dark. 🤫 When those lights come back on in two days, it’ll be Day 1 of Flower. The transition is primed, the minerals are available, and the "living soil" is ready to perform. 🚀🎡 💡 Reader Pro-Tip: The "Volcanic Armor" 🌋🛡️ The Hint: If you’re following this organic run, don't sleep on Volcanic Rock Dust. The Secret: Rock dust is packed with Silica, but it's notoriously slow to break down. By pairing it with a weak acid (like Lactic Acid or LABS), you’re "digesting" the stone for the plant. 🍽️ This makes the stems woody and "snap-resistant"—essential if you’re expecting a massive stretch during the first 3 weeks of flower! **Added pictures from the second I turning the lights back on.. (last 2 pics).. ** they all actually grew a few inch... Thanks for stopping by, much love ✌️💚 Grow On

Green_Claws 🗓️ Week 1 (Flower): Sticky Broccoli (#2) — The Twin Peak 🥦❄️👯‍♂️ Status: Just like her sister, this Sticky Broccoli is 4 days post-flip and responding beautifully to the 48-hour dark shock 🌑. The stretch is officially "online," and she is starting to fill out her corner of the tent with some serious vigor. 🚀 🏗️ Canopy Status: Level & Locked The Frame: The canopy is looking flat and uniform 📏. All the work with the wire training in late veg has paid off—we have a sea of potential "broccoli heads" all vying for the light at the same height. ☀️⚖️ The Stretch: She’s matching her sister's pace, showing that vertical "jump" we expect from a healthy organic flip. 🦒 The stems are feeling reinforced and ready, thanks to that Volcanic Silica mineral charge. 🌋? 🥗 Maintenance & Feed Water Only: Staying disciplined here. 💧 No teas or top-dresses this week—just plain water to let the soil chemistry stabilize after the light cycle shift. 🧘‍♂️ Redirected Energy: I’ve kept the airflow high around the base to ensure the "Stick" stays healthy while the "Broccoli" starts to stack at the top. 🌬️🥦 🌿 Observations Consistency: It’s great to see both phenos of the Sticky Broccoli reacting so similarly to the Lactic Acid/Dolomite "melt" . The color is deep, vibrant, and shows no signs of the pH slump we fought earlier. 🍃✅ 💡 Reader Pro-Tip: The "Twin" Comparison 👯‍♂️🕵️‍♂️ The Hint: If you’re running multiple plants of the same strain, Week 1 of Flower is your scouting report! 📝 The Secret: Even from the same pack of seeds, one might stretch more than the other. 📏 Action Item: Watch the Sticky Broccoli twins closely this week. If one starts to "out-stretch" the other, move the shorter one toward the center of the light (the "hot spot") or raise her pot up to keep that canopy perfectly level. ☀️⚖️ Uniform height in Week 1 = Uniform yields in Week 9! 🏆💰 Thanks for checking by.. Much love ✌️💚..

Green_Claws 🗓️ Week 2 (Flower): Sticky Broccoli (#2) — The Perfect Twin 🥦👯‍♀️ Status: Week 2 is officially in the books for the second Sticky Broccoli, and it has been an absolute breeze. 🏁 She is growing rapidly, completely stress-free, and matching her sister's stretch inch for inch. 📈 Phenotype Observations: Seeing Double The Structure: If you put this plant next to Sticky Broccoli #1, you can barely tell them apart. They share the exact same structural characteristics, node spacing, and vigor. Maybe a little smaller 👯‍♀️ Genetic Stability: Seeing two seeds from the same batch grow this identically is a massive testament to the breeder's genetic stability. We don't have to worry about one shading the other out—they are moving in perfect sync. ⚖️🥦 💧 The Feed Schedule: The Art of Chelation Watering #1: Started the week with just plain, de-chlorinated water to keep her hydrated during the heavy stretch. 🌊 Watering #2 (The Catalyst): For the second watering, I introduced Potassium Humate. 🌋 The Goal: I'm not actually "feeding" her new nutrients with this. Instead, the Potassium Humate acts as an organic chelator. It binds to the minerals that are already sitting in the soil (like the Bone Meal and Dolomite from veg) and makes them instantly bio-available to the roots. It’s all about unlocking what’s already there to fuel this rapid growth! 🌿 The Outlook She’s opened up beautifully, the canopy is even, and her metabolism is completely unlocked thanks to the Humate. Now that both twins are dialed in, we just sit back and watch the frost start to form! ❄️👀 💡 Reader Pro-Tip: The Science of "Chelation" 🌱 The Hint: Why add Potassium Humate if the soil is already full of organic dry amendments? 🤔 The Secret: Many heavy minerals in the soil (like Calcium, Iron, and Magnesium) carry a strong positive charge. Because of this charge, they can easily bind to other elements and get "locked out" in the soil matrix, making it hard for the roots to drink them. 🚫 The Science: Humic acids act like tiny organic claws. 🦀 They grab onto these heavy minerals and completely hide their positive charge. By masking that charge, the Humate turns the mineral into a neutral, organic package that slips effortlessly through the semi-permeable root membrane! 💧 Action Item: If your plants are growing rapidly in early flower and you want to prevent sudden deficiencies, do a light drench with Potassium Humate. It ensures your plant has total access to its soil pantry during the most demanding phase of its life! 🍽️📈.. Thanks for dropping by Much love 💚 Grow on

Green_Claws 🗓️ Week 3 (Flower): Sticky Broccoli — The Pheno Split & Prehistoric Armor 🌸🥦🛡️ Status: We are officially dropping the "twins" label! As we move deeper into Week 3 of flower, this Sticky Broccoli is showing a completely different phenotype from her sister. Her leaf structure is different, her overall behavior has changed, and she is charting her own course for the bloom phase. 📏 Structure & The Bloom The Stretch: While her sister slammed on the brakes, this girl is still stretching up and building out her frame. The Bloom: She isn't covered in heavy "pom-poms" just yet. Instead, she is furiously stacking node after node, firing out preflowers all over the canopy. Based on how aggressively she is building these bud sites, I have a strong feeling this girl is going to one-up her sister on the final yield! 📈❄️ 💧 Feed & Environment: Shifting Gears The P/K Demand: Because she is stacking so many nodes, the plant is officially hungry for Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) to build dense, heavy flowers. Nitrogen takes a backseat from here on out. The Feed: She is getting her standard de-chlorinated water mixed with Potassium Humate to keep the soil unlocked and the root zone active. This ensures all those heavy bloom minerals in the soil are instantly bio-available right when she needs them most! 🌊🌋 The Bio-Fuel Lab: Organic Horsetail Silica Tea 🌿🛡️ To make sure Sticky Broccoli's branches don't snap under the weight of her late-flower colas, I am brewing a natural silica tea to turn those stems into organic rebar. 🎯 The Objective Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) is a prehistoric weed that pulls massive amounts of silica from the earth. By extracting it into a tea, we get a 100% organic, bio-available silica drench that thickens plant cell walls and dramatically increases branch rigidity. (Fun fact: It grows wild all over, so you can easily forage this for free!) 🌾 🛠️ Step-by-Step: The Process Step 1: The Blend & Boil (Unlocking the Silica) Unlike our simple cold-water ferments, the silica inside Horsetail is locked up tight in the plant tissue. To get the absolute maximum extraction, I threw 1 cup of fresh horsetail straight into the blender to completely pulverize it. Then, I mixed that green mush into a pot with 2 ltrs of de-chlorinated water, brought it to a boil, and let it heat for 30 minutes. The blending plus the heat forces all that trapped silica right into the water! 🔥 📸 (see attached pictures) Step 2: The 24-Hour Steep (Currently in Progress!) After the 30-minute boil, I took the pan off the heat. Right now, my batch is still steeping in the pan. It needs to cool down and sit for a full 24 hours. This long soak is where the heavy silica is actually drawn out into the water, making it fully bio-available. ⏱️ Step 3: The Upcoming Drench Once the 24 hours are up, I will strain out the plant material. I'll take the concentrated silica tea, mix it into my regular watering bucket alongside my humate, and give Sticky Broccoli a heavy drench! 🌊 💡 Reader Pro-Tip: The "Armor" Upgrade 🛡️🌵 The Hint: Can I use this as a foliar spray instead of just a root drench? 🤔 The Secret: Yes, and it is incredibly effective! However, silica is notoriously hard to get plants to absorb through their leaves because plain water beads up and rolls right off. Action Item: The trick is to mix this Horsetail tea with fresh Aloe Vera extract! The Saponins in the Aloe completely destroy the water's surface tension, ensuring the silica paints a microscopic, impenetrable layer of armor over every single leaf on your plant. We haven't covered Aloe yet, but stay tuned—I'll be showing you exactly how to process fresh Aloe Vera in next week's Bio-Fuel Lab! --- As always any comments welcome inbox is open 24/7..Grow on Thanks for stopping by, much love ✌️💚

Green_Claws 🗓️ Week 5 (Flower): Sticky Broccoli #2 — Building Colas & Taking Her Time 🌸🥦 Status: Pushing into Week 4, this girl is fully embracing her own timeline! She is clearly going to take a bit longer to finish than her sister, but as we all know in the organic garden—you absolutely cannot rush perfection. ⏳✨ 📏 Structure & The Bloom The Stretch: While the rest of the tent has mostly stopped, she still gave us a little bit of an upward stretch this week as she finalizes her frame. 📈 The Preflowers: She isn't rushing to swell just yet. Instead, she is furiously throwing out preflowers all the way up her branches. She is laying down the structural foundation for what are soon going to be absolutely massive, towering colas! 🏗️❄️ 💧 The Feed: Dialing in the Extracts Since she is heavily focused on building out those massive floral sites, we are making sure her soil is loaded with the right building blocks alongside our staple Potassium Humate. 🌋 The P/K Push: 🍌🍯 She is getting our homemade Banana & Jaggery FFJ dosed at 2ml per Liter. This gives her roots instant access to the organic Phosphorus and Potassium she needs to start filling in those preflowers. The Armor: 🌊 Because she is still building tall colas, branch strength is critical. She is getting our homemade Horsetail Silica Tea dosed at 3ml per Liter to thicken up those cell walls and support the future weight! Thanks for popping round ✌️💚🙏
