Autoflower Pastry Series - Apple Strudel

BToke Ten days into its development, it was clear that something wasn't quite right. As you can see, the leaf growth appears to be off/stunted. At this point I was concerned about whether it was worth it to keep her. I decided to try adjusting her watering (I suspected she wasn't getting enough) and ride it out...I'm glad I did.

BToke The plant started to recover a bit structurally. It was still obvious that something was wrong growth-wise, but she was starting to fill out a bit more.

BToke After 5 weeks, she is showing great improvement. So much so, it's time to start training. I used landscape stakes and bend clips to stretch out the exterior branches. This was done to increase bud site exposure, widen the plant, and even out the canopy; This week I top dressed with Craft Blend, Gnarly Barley and Build-A-Flower, which was watered in with a comprehensive feeding using a chapin. The rest of the week, the plant received a basic mixture of pH 6.0 water, calmag and silica via an automated drip system.

BToke She's made a complete recovery and is growing very well. I am sporadically bending individual branches to maintain an even canopy. Thus far, she has been fed once a week using a chapin, and received drip watering the remainder of the week.

BToke So many bud sites...maybe too many. She is starting to frost up all over...sugar leaves, fan leaves, and stems!
