I want to compare, one plant completely organic vs mineral fertilizer.
Both seeds were planted and taken out on the same day
For the Organic I will use:
- Bio Sevia Grow and Bloom
- Vermicompost I've been doing all winter from kitchen greens waste.
For the mineral:
- Flora Series 3 part
- Diamond Nectar
- Mineral Magic
- Ripen
Looking forward specially for the sampling part :P
not much happened since last week, I marked the organic plant with a yellow tag.
For the moment both seem to be fine, I just watered this week for first time using flora and for the organic I added a good amount of vermicompost
Its been raining and not that warm, so hopefully will get better on this week and we start noticing some difference,
Plants are starting to grow, weather went crazy and changed from 10 to 31 degrees in 2 days,
This week we expect plenty of sun a few rains during the weekend, I will be giving some fertz every weekend for both plants.
At the end of the week we can see how much they have stretched in the last few days.
Still not much difference in size but a bit difference in leafs and shape.
This week weather has been really hot, yesterday we went to 35, I hope this will not continue or it will affect the grow.
So far very good, Organic seems to keep ahead of the mineral not only in size but also seems stronger overall seems better, I topped both plants, hopefully was not too late.
Looking forward for the coming week, they should start flowering and probably stretch like crazy.
I continue to give them fertilizers once per week.
Plants look very healthy, both already started to flower.
Mineral one have bigger leafs but also more space between nodes, mineral one is also 2 cm taller :P
Looking forward to see those summer buds.
both plants are starting to form nice but small buds I dont think we will have very dense ones, but plants looks nice.
Organic now is a bit smaller 58cm Vs Mineral 62 cm
Organic still has better look than Mineral, will see how they keep up.
I added extra simulators from biobizz, I was giving fertz once per week, now twice.
Both plans seem fine but not growing as big as expected.
Organic still seems more attractive than the mineral one, cannot see a real difference between them, hopefully at the end we will have some results.
The weather here is really crazy, we had up to 37 two weeks ago, This week we have nights of 10-12. I think that may be the reason why plants are not thriving.
We are on second half of flowering,
I didn't have much time to take care this week you can see they are not great.
Organic has way nicer color, will give them some ferts this week to see if they improve a bit.
Looking forward for next week.
Plants look good, I think I underfed a little the mineral one.
I was afraid of burning it, I have no experience with autos and read that they require much less
We are less than 2 weeks before harvest but I think I may extend an extra week.
Organic has better looking buds more dense and better color.
I don't expect more than 20-30 g per plant but will see.
I will do small flush for the organic, feed for another week and then plain water for 2 or 3 days
The mineral I will feed once more and then just water for at least 8 days.
Really stinky plant, I think all my neighbors noticed it :D.
Taller than I expected, small but dense nugs.
I think I under fed the mineral one, so I think with a bit more it would produce as much as the other
First of all, I'm really surprised that the organic produced more, I knew quality/taste could be, but not quantity.
I think I under fed the mineral one, so I think with a bit more it would produce as much as the other
I like flora series, but I think is better on hydroponics because in soil you completely destroy the substrate, becomes all salty, I don't like wasting it so I normally reuse it and this one will need some proper restore with lots of organic material and a good wash.
Producing organic was easy, only thing is takes a bit longer to make the mix and of course the price is 3:1 compared to flora.
I haven't taste them because I just started the curing process, so in around a month+ will have some opinion on this.
Great seeds all of them sprouted (I have another 2 not on this diary) I love RQS, been growing theirs seeds for almost 5
Looks like they are having a great start.
I wouldn’t put those glasses over your seedling, you can get fungus on your seedling and it could die. Let them out in the wind, makes them strong an resiliant.
Good luck. 👍
