Aeromatics Goals for the Grow: Have a better first 4 weeks, and translate that into a better ten-wide yield! My last 4 x 4 tent-wide yield was 514 g total, which is not bad at all for a single smoker like me. In fact, that is more than I will need for quite some time. I’ll be curing and making some concentrates for sure! However, I like to set goals and have fun, and I know there’s way more potential with my set-up. Also, I am going to do a transplant strategy for this batch. At two weeks, I will move from half gallon into my 6.6 gallon. I think being able to access my root zone at 2 weeks and get some mykos in there will really help explode root growth at that crucial 14 day mark, and will negate any possible stress from transplant. It may be crystal for this in 6.6 gallon pots. For Germination, I am making a few alterations: During my last 6.6 gallon autopot run, I made two germination into potting mistakes. The buffered coco was way too wet when potting. This stifled root growth initially, and also prevented me from adding any water and generally slowed down the entire process. I could tell because when I pulled the coco out from the pots, there was a strong taproot but little to no root growth in the middle to upper root zone. I packed the coco a bit too much when adding to my pots. I didn’t superpack it tight, but I did pat it down a little but it layers, and I think that inhibited root growth as well. So my solution, or at least hypothesis to try and solve against these observed mistakes is to: I let the buffered coco dry and a few extra days in the bin, and I also laid it out on a tard to let it air dry for around 48 hours before potting up. It was still dark and moist, but when I squeezed a handful of it, only a drop or 2 rang out, as opposed to a fountain like my previous run. It looked much better! I’ve also laid out my coco on some tarps to let it air dry out for 2 days before potting. It is still very most, but not soaking wet. I tossed the coco into the pot with my two hands and used the back of my hands to simply even out the layers as opposed to compressing them throughout the potting process. This will allow the coco to naturally settle over time, and hopefully allow for proper aeration and root development! Coco Buffering I am trying a new buffering mix for this run! Stash recently released 2 new products to go along with their fantastic Stash Blend nutrient enhancement: Stash Base (Veg Nutrients) and Stash Bloom (Flower Nutrients). I am excited to add Stash Base into my buffering mix, it will hopefully create a beautiful growing environment for my gals. I buffered twice (both for 24 hours). I had 12 gallons of coco and I used 10 gallons of RO water to buffer: For my first buffer, I went with around 1 ec charge and a ph of 5.75 for each 10 gallons. My nutrients included: 70 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 5 grams Stash Base - New Product! (Formulated with a diverse blend of organic and mineral inputs—including calcium phosphate, biochar, crustacean meal, feather meal, fishbone meal, glacial and volcanic rock dusts, alfalfa, insect frass, giant kelp meal, neem seed kernel meal, oyster shell dust, sulfate of potash, calcium carbonate, and fish meal—Stash Base delivers a broad spectrum of macro and micronutrients, plus biology-friendly carbon sources.) 3 grams Stash Blend ec: 1.1 ph 5.75 After the first 24 hour soak, I fully drained it and resoaked the two bins in another batch of 10 gallons of RO mix. I adjusted the recipe. My second buffer nutrients included: 60 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 2 grams Stash Base 2 grams Stash Blend 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow I waited another 24 hours, and then I fully drained the coco and worked to dry it out much more than last grow. As I mentioned above, I let it drain for more than 48 hours in the tub, stirring a bit here and there. I knew it was necessary because there was a bunch of water let loose once I stirred. That made me thing i need to punch more holes into my bin, or maybe I need to put a huge slice of garden fabric at the base of the bin so that the coco does not clog the holes. I’ll likely try both on my 4 x 4 run which is coming soon! Once the coco felt good to go, and my measurement for that was that I could grab and handful…squeeze it, and only 1 or two drops would come out… my medium was ready! Germination: I’ve been using Organiplugs for all my germination for my last 20+ seeds, and I am not going back to any previous system. All you do is: insert the seed, place into a germination cube holder, place in a ziplock back, wrap it up in a towel, place it in a tent, and wait for her to sprout! I don’t have to worry about anything really, and it almost protects the seed from any real concerns from the seedling/sprouting process. Once she sprouted (either I see a taproot, or the sprout actually pops out of the hole, or both!), I placed her about ¾ of the way down into the coco. In the coco hole, I added some Xtreme Mykos to encourage root development, one of my favorite reasons to use organiplugs! I didn’t need to “water her in’ to the coco, as the coco was still moist from the buffering process. I was actually worried it was a bit too moist, but I went with it anyway. It was, at least, much less moist than my previous grow, and from the way the gals have settled in, I actually think we were in the perfect zone. I squeezed a handful and barely a drop wrang out, so that’s my goal moisture level moving forward! Final Thoughts This is going to be a fun one! I will divy this tent up into 4 different journals but also provide generic tent-wide updates like my last journal. Hopefully I can get some good results and we an all learn a lot throughout the process. Thanks for tuning in and happy growing!

Aeromatics After 8 days of growth, I tipped each gal over to see beautiful white roots sticking out of the holes of the half-gallon pots. It always amazes me how efficient and powerful the mixture of Organiplugs, Mykos, and Mammoth P. can be to get that early root growing (as I have seen in previous photoperiod grows), but to have it happen in my autoflower autopot transplant experiment was a happy sight to say the least! It was on day 8, I elected to make the transplant from their half-gallon pots to their final resting 6.6 gallon pre-buffered coco homes. The coco for the 6.6 gallons was pre-buffered with the same double-buffer recipe, but potting was a bit different than my last run. As I mentioned, the last run was way too wet and way too compressed. I fixed this by focusing on a better draining process, and also allowing the buffered coco to air dry for 24 hours spread out on a garden tarp. Those two steps got me a nice, moist coco that did not drip when squeezed, but still held moisture! Before potting, I added 3 tsp of Ventana Stash Blend to each 6.6 Gallon Coco batch for extra boost. I’ve done this before and it add a great shot of nutrients to the roots as they start to explore the coco. I then very loosely added the coco to the pots, only slightly shaking the pots to settle the medium. Once filled, we were ready to go! Once I dug each half-gallon hole, I fluffed up the first few inches within the bottom of the hole and tossed some mykos in there as well. My thoughts there is that it would give extra fluffy area for the roots to explode! I then liberally sprinkled more mykos in the potting hole and gently added my half-gallon rooted plant. I hope that extra access point to the root zone is the game changer for getting some severe size boost! I gently packed her in and watered her in with about 400 ml of simple veg-light water. My recipe for that water is: 1 Gallon RO water 4 ml Ventana Plant Science Support .75 g Stash Base 12 drops Mammoth P Microbes In 6.6 gallon pots, the plants are now sitting at around 320 ppfd, which is perfect heading into week 2! I doubt to see much growth from day 8 to day 14, as I know the roots will be exploring the pots and growing. But what I really hope is a much more robust week 14 to 21, as compared to my previous run. Let’s hope all goes well and let me know your thoughts or predictions below!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto: She is the tallest of the bunch, which is a bit surprising given the lineage. I am not sad about it haha! Same beautiful structure as the others, 5 to 6 nodes starting to develop, and again we are looking strong across the whole tent. Week three is going to bring tiny bushes woo! Tent-Wide Update - The end of week 2, and thus far I am happy to say I have met most of my goals for the grow! Each gal reacted well to the transplant, and I see no shock or worrisome signs to tackle. Color and growth momentum are way different than last grow, where it was at this point I faced stalled growth and some significant chlorosis. Oppositely, I have beautiful, tight 5 - 6 node plants with daily growth that clearly show roots are establishing throughout the pot. I think we are in store for an absolutely massive stretch period when I activate my autopots around day 23/24. They have not needed any water thus far, and I will likely only water once before Autopot activation, mostly to encourage middle-root system development. The major adjustments for this period have been the activation of the airdomes! I started on day 14 for the 3 plants (Gelato, Gelato BX 41, Dosidos) and Day 12 for Critical Mass Auto. I went with 2 hours on the first day, increased 2 hours on day 15, and two more hours on day 16. I will be on 24 hours by Day 20, where I know they will need a drink! My goal was to have a great first 4 weeks of the grow, and I must say.... I think I am on the way!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto: The strongest looking of the 3 23 day activation plants, Dos-Si-Dos is ready to rock with Autopots on! We will have a great boom with her, as I see little to no chlorosis on her which means we have solid root growth and development. I need to 100% remember to keep her tray clean and her PH spot on, as I am currently experiencing some PH issues with my Zkittlez Auto (see diary) that brings tray and reservoir control to the forefront to my mind. Let's keep it up! or well... down.. haha! Tent-Wide Updates: AUTOPOTS ACTIVATED! WOO! The end of week three brings my favorite part of the grow, and really what the last 5 weeks of hard work have led (Coco rinsing, buffering, tent preparation, germination, transplantation, system cleaning and set-up, and first 3 weeks of growth). Based on my "Goals for the Grow", I think I have set all 4 gals us for a better level of success and even though I do see a bit of chlorosis across the board, I know that is just the plants focusing on that deep root development. I hope to see a bit more root colonization within the middle potting zone, as I was able to get at least one solid 1 liter top water in for this batch, a feat that I was unable to accomplish in my last 6.6 gallon run because of the overly moist coco. It was a watering batch that consisted of: 1 Gallon RO Water 4 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 1 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow .25 Ventana Plant Science Expand .5 tsp Ventana Plant Science Stash Base 6 drops Mammoth P Active Microbes Once the pots reached around medium to light weight, I felt like they were ready for autopot activation! To prepare for this date, I slowly increased the flow of air into my airdomes by 2 hours each day leading up to my day 23 activation (day 21 for Critical Mass Auto). It went from 6 to 8 on and and on until it reached 24 hours the day of activation. Additionally, I increased PPFD the same day (day 23) as autopot activation to 400 to 420. My autopot recipe water recipe is: 10 Gallons RO water 70 ml Ventana Plant Science 30 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 10 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 10 g Ventana Plant Science Stash Base 3 g Ventana Plant Science Stash Blend 15 ml Mammoth P Active Microbials This is one of the most exciting periods of time for me.... let's see if my hard work paid off, and "my goals for the grow" of trying to get closer to a more effective first 4 weeks pays off with a fantastic stretch!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto: We have some struggle with this gal. She is stalled out after a solid start and I am not quite sure why when other plants in the tent are thriving. Perhaps, we have some issues with the roots, or maybe I went in and tried to train a bit too early? I am not quite sure, but I worry that I have stalled her so bad that she is stunted and we may not recover. Let's see how the start of week 5 goes and we will go from there. Tent-Wide Updates: I tried to open all the plants up this week for training, some took to it better than others... Again, it's tough growing x 4 different seeds under the same reservoir and circumstances, so I am move to grow a 2 x 2 for sure next round! Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos: This gal is the main lesson for the run of not mixing genetics for same reservoir Autopot runs, or at least finding a way to make it work! She was rocking and rolling hard the first few weeks of veg, but during my transition into stretch, she seemed stalled. My guess is that it was too early for her compared to the others, as I see heading into the later part of day 36/37, she was finally able to recover and push out a bit. I have a feeling if I was able to push her a bit more with higher level veg nutrients and keep her balanced, she would be in better shape. That being said, she has handled recovery well and will still produce a very fun Christmas tree plant! I'll have to decorate. Ha! Tent - Wide Updates: This week I continued running a mixed biological reservoir, combining the Ventana nutrients with Stash and Mammoth P directly in the reservoir. Everything was still progressing, but it became clear that the system was starting to get a bit noisy. Each plant was responding differently, and I began seeing early signs of increased nutrient demand — especially magnesium — as we began our push into early flower! I am still getting those "don't mix genetics from the same reservoir" signs ha! This early week 5 (day 32) reservoir followed this recipe: 35 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 15 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 3 tsp Ventana Plant Science Stash Base 1 tsp Ventana Plant Science Stash Blend 8 ml Mammoth P Microbes The microbes spiked my ph from 5.6 to 6.5 after just 4 hours, so I think I am going to make a move away from trying to stabilize bio-fed reservoirs, as at this stage, the system was still working, but it was clear that things were starting to drift slightly out of balance. Nothing is broken yet, but the signals were there that I’d likely need to simplify and tighten things up. I need stability, so I am going to move to stable reservoirs with Ventana Plant Science and move Mammoth P and Stash to top watered teas. It will be a fun new part of the experiment! Additionally, I spent some time opening up the canopy across all plants to improve airflow and light penetration. Some plants handled it better than others, which is always the tradeoff when running multiple genetics under the same setup. On day 37, I filled a fresh stable reservoir of 5 gallons RO water: 32 ml Ventana Plant Support 12 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 10 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 4 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure We were off to the races to pre-flower and hopes for stability moving forward!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos: She has fully recovered from some of her week 4-6 issues and is looking well, and is even stretching a bit more than I expected given the stall. Her budlets are creeping in and some pistils are finally popping out. She is a very squat, dense bush, so I plan on clearing her under area and inner tree out a bit for airflow since those areas will be getting 0 light buring flower, and I will likely only want to harvest the very outer 1/3 of each node. Like Gelato BX 41 Auto, she is just no hitting her stride vs earlier showing some signs of issues. Again, another hit of mix-strain runs from one reservoir. Mix genetics is tough! Tent-Specific Updates: It's been a relaxed week after 2 weeks of pretty heavy tent-wide manipulation. I tried to be hands-off for this week as the plants start to stack flowers and recover from the dryback and hopefully thrive with the stable reservoirs and Mammoth P/Stash Bloom top waters. They all look solid, with Critical Mass now being the one that shows the strong signs of deficiency, likely nitrogen and CalMag. She is 2 days earlier in her cycle than the others but with the mix tent, it's hard to focus on one or the other. We are in general mode! On 4/18, they were thirsty and ready for a flower-heavy feed! 7 Gallons of RO Water 48 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 10 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 16 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure 4 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 4 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH Heading into the marvelous 4/20, I spent the morning relaxing and trimming up the bases of all 4 plants of the tent, clearing out some space for plenty of airflow and maximizing light across the harvestable buds. I tried not to go too far and now I will be sure to be hands off from week 7 to week 8 to avoid and stress stacking, my arch-nemesis. Additionally, I wanted to add some more Ventana Plant Science Support and a touch more Grow to my reservoir without mixing a new batch. I mixed a gallon of RO water with 5 ml Support and 1 ml Grow, tossed it in to the remaining 2 gallons left of my 4/18 mix, and let's see how they react! Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto - The second thriving gal in the tent, she is showing at least 10 days behind in her development cycle in general, with her just now, around week 6/7, starting to enter flower budlet development. When you compare her side-by-side with the likes of Critical Mass CBD Auto or Gelato 41 BX, it is a beautiful demonstration of the challenges of running mixed genetics in a single tent run. This is where it is going to get interesting, as I am going to have to treat her with some strategic top waters to feed her more precisely with what she needs while she also gets consistently general nutrients from the reservoir. She is showing a bit of a need for more nitrogen and a touch of CalMag, so I'll hit her with some more Ventana Plant Science Support and a touch of grow on the next top water, as well as some more Mammoth P! I'll only lightly defoliate, mostly inner fan leaves and anything that is looking to clog up airflow and light access. She is going to be a heavy dense bush, but a fun finishing puzzle in a crazy tent! Tent-Wide Update: We had some key water events and some big drinking all around this week, as all plants really hit their respective strides drinking away and simply chugging reservoirs down. We had two fills this week, totaling close to 7 gallons of consumption! I think we have finally settled in a good rhythm with reservoir stability which will allow us to have a great solid push into the endgame for the tent, which is all of the place in terms of levels of readiness per plant. Critical Mass looks like it will be ready within the next two weeks, whereas Dos-Si-Dos Auto may take at least another month. Gelato 41 BX Auto is by far the star of the tent and show the system is dialed in for at least one strain of the 4, and is providing me with yet another sign that it is time to move to singular genetic runs. We had a fill on 4/22: 4 Gallon RO Water Reservoir Fill 25 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 12 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure 2 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH ec .93 PH 5.5 After they drank around 2/3 of that fill, I decided it was time to get another decent top water in, which could be the last of the run. Mammoth P is huge at this stage and I really want to push phosphorus, so I gave a good 500 ml of the following recipe slowly poured along the top: 4/25 - 1/2 Gallon RO Water Top Water Mix 1.5 ml Mammoth P Active Microbes 1/2 tsp Ventana Plant Science Stash Bloom That 500 ml top dresses to each plant to beneficial bacteria and phosphorous utilization, and that Stash Bloom does nothing but give an amazing boost heading into the end of the run. Finally, our day 56 reservoir fill: 4/27 (End of Week 7) - 3.5 Gallon RO Reservoir Fill 22 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 12 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure 2 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH ec 1.0 PH 5.5 I've been doing a small bit of defoliation across each tent, but for now, I think we are going to have to evaluate each plant heavily and start approaching each singularly as opposed to as a whole given the different stages of time to completion. It's going to get crazy here on Aeromatics' Diary!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto: She is the wallflower of the tent, seemingly at least 2 weeks behind everyone else and in no way, shape, or form, a plant that I would normally say is heading into day 63! It looks like she is just hitting mid flower now, so I've had to try and come up with a way to get some specific nutrients together to top water in an attempt to get a boost to flower nutrients to add to my more tent-friendly reservoir. On 4/30 (day 59) , I decided to run that top water: The results were very interesting, as I was provided with some key data points in a sort of "unintentional flush" that gave me some cool insights into plant behavior. I top watered with .75 gallons of the following mix: 1 Gallon RO Water Ventana Plant Science Support 5 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 1 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure .5 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH .5 ml ec .98 ph 5.6 Before I watered, I removed Dos-Si-Dos from the Autopot tray and tent, and placed her on a basin to collect any possible runoff. I let her drain off as much of the previous autopot liquid into the reservoir as possible before that move was made. I then slowly added the .75 gallons in a top water, and what resulted was almost a full gallon of runoff over the next 30 minutes. It was more than I put in! Very interesting! I measured the first half and the readings showed a lower ec than I put in, as well as a higher ph (.71 ec, 7.0 ph). I let more runoff consolidate and then I measured that, and the ec dropped even more!!! (.5 ec, 7.2 ph). She is off and only using portions of my nutrients, and her PH is too high. That top water adjustment 100% triggered some better growth, as I now see some solid flower formation and density happening! Hopefully...not too late! Tent-Wide Updates: As we are entering the incredibly weird period on multiple degrees of readiness across my mixed genetic tent, we are going to have to treat my our shared components as the beacons of consistency heading into our crucial final weeks. Temp and Humidity will be set between 75 and 77, and humidity will sit between 45 and 50, with my trigger point sitting at 52. The vent is running more often due to temp anyway, but I don't want it higher than 52. My reservoirs will have to be that same beacon of consistency, and it's adding a bit more difficulty with the disparity between plants that are close to finish, like Critical Mass Auto CBD, and plants that are far from it, like Dos-Si-Dos Auto. I have to hit a balance in needs between them all, at least while they are feeding off of the same solution. So, in order to address this, we will keep up with a steady course of mid to late flower nutrients, and I will top-treat specific plants as needed (Dos-Si-Dos with a bit higher flower boosts, Critical Mass with an end-flower flush kick, ect). On 4/30 (Day 59), I filled a 4 gallon reservoir with: 25 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 2 ml Ventana Plant Science Grow 13 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 4 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 3 ml Ventana Plant Science Structure 3 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH ec 1.0 ph 5.6 They drank that pretty quick! Heading into 5/4, I topped off with another 4 gallons of the same recipe. However, I my next fills may come in either gallon top off where I drop grow entirely (I was keeping that nitrogen boost in there to help Dos-Si-Dos out in transition), or a new reservoir, and I'll cut off Critical Mass CBG completely. I am not sure yet, but that's part of the fun! While my plant specific updates will have more details on how I will look to finish each gal, it's going to generally be an adventure across the board for our mixed harvest! I did decide on my next grow for my 4 4 x 4 autopots! I'll be running some Clementine Slush from Kannabia, and I can't wait!

Aeromatics Dos-Si-Dos Auto: The canary of the tent, heading into week 10 looking like she is somehow in week 7. She is picking up density and as I mentioned in my tent-wide update, will push to week 13 for sure. I'll keep an eye out on what I can trim away for airflow, since she is growing so dense internally, but we also want to keep stress down to a minimum. I've never had an auto look this far behind at heading into week 10 before, especially when compared to the others! She is being put in a challenging position but we will do our best to finish her strong in a mixed cultivation text. Tent-Wide Update: We are entering the fray of mixed cultivation as our windows of cultivation across the tent are hitting their stride. I pulled the reservoir off Critical Mass a few days ago, and I think the two Gelatos will be close to pulling in the next few days as well. Dos-Si-Dos Auto is still far behind and will definitely be hitting the 14 week mark, an unheard of mark for most autos. She is interesting for sure! My feeding for these gals is a pretty simple taper down recipe, focused on ripening with FlaVUH and some strong PK with Flower. I've been giving 3-gallon fills just to be sure I can adjust the recipe as needed for each critical stage. This recipe was: 3 gallons RO water 15 ml Ventana Plant Science Support 32 ml Ventana Plant Science Flower 7 ml Ventana Plant Science Expand 5 ml Ventana Plant Science FlaVUH ec .97 ph 5.5 Let's finish strong!
