The Gassy One - SSSC Contest

Purrple_Haze ⛽ Back in Action After a short break due to being sick — and I mean a full blackout week on my end — I’m finally back with an update on my Gassy One from the Super Sativa Seed Club contest. Even though I couldn’t document anything during that time, the plants didn’t slow down at all. Quite the opposite — both have developed really nicely and are showing strong, healthy growth. It’s always a good feeling to come back after a break and see them thriving. 🌱✨ On a less fortunate note, my DSLR camera decided to say goodbye, so for now I’ll be sticking with iPhone pictures. Not ideal, but it’ll do the job until I can maybe fix it. I’ll also try to include some growlapse videos whenever I can — those always capture the progress in a nice way. Looking ahead, the next step is already lined up. As soon as the soil dries out a bit — likely within the next 1–2 days — both plants will be transplanted into their new 4.5L pots. That should give them the space they need to really push forward and build a strong structure for the weeks to come. Right now, everything feels very balanced: healthy color, steady growth, and no signs of stress. Purrple_Haze ⛽ Steady Progress Last week there was no update from my side — work has been pretty intense, and to be honest, there simply wasn’t too much happening worth documenting. Sometimes the quiet weeks are the good ones. 🌱 Both Gassy One plants spent the time just doing what they’re supposed to do: growing steadily, building structure, and settling into their environment. No stress, no surprises — just clean, healthy development. What stands out right now is their beautiful, rich green color. Leaves look healthy, posture is on point, and overall they give off a very balanced and stable impression. Exactly what you want to see during this stage of veg. 🌿✨ There haven’t been any major interventions or changes — just consistency. Purrple_Haze ⛽ Early Exit This entry marks the end of my journey with The Gassy One in the Super Sativa Seed Club contest — though not quite in the way originally planned. Over the past days, it became clear that the plants were no longer developing the way I wanted them to. At the same time, space in the tent became limited due to my other ongoing runs, which required more attention and priority. Because of that, I made the decision to remove them from the tent. They have now been relocated to a friend’s balcony, where they’ll continue their life cycle in a more relaxed environment. However, for me, this also means that I’m officially stepping out of the contest. Looking back, there were definitely aspects I enjoyed. The structure of the plants was promising, and they showed potential early on. Unfortunately, due to time constraints on my side, they ended up running mostly on autopilot, and I simply couldn’t give them the attention they deserved. Sometimes it’s better to be honest with yourself and make room for the projects you can fully commit to. 🌿 🌱 Final Notes 🔸 Strain: The Gassy One – Super Sativa Seed Club 🔸 Plants: 2 🔸 Status: Removed from tent, continuing outdoors 🔸 Reason: Space limitations & lack of time 🔸 Contest: Withdrawn Even though this run didn’t reach a proper harvest under my care, it was still a small learning experience.
