Purrple_Haze Red Hot Cookies Returns 🔴🔥🍪
Sometimes the garden has its own plans — and this week it delivered a very unexpected surprise.
My large Red Hot Cookies plant, which had been sitting on the balcony all winter to naturally weather and break down, apparently had a little secret. Towards the end of last year she must have hermied and dropped a few seeds into the soil, something I didn’t notice at the time.
Fast forward to this week: while emptying the pot and clearing out the old soil, I suddenly spotted a tiny seedling pushing through the dirt. To my surprise, one of those seeds must have survived the entire winter — frost, cold, and all — and decided that now was the time to grow. 🌱
It honestly felt like the old Red Hot Cookies “mother” gifted me a new baby plant. Nature doing its thing in the most unexpected way.
Of course I couldn’t just leave her there. I carefully moved the seedling into a small pot with fresh soil and gave it a gentle watering with S&R Organics 5-in-1 fertilizer, mainly to support early rooting with the included mycorrhiza and root stimulation.
So far she’s doing surprisingly well and looks healthy for such an unusual start. It’s still very early, but if everything continues like this, it seems that another photoperiod run with Red Hot Cookies is about to begin — completely unplanned, but very welcome.
Sometimes the best grows are the ones you never intended to start. 🌿✨

Purrple_Haze 🌱 From Surprise to Structure
After a short break due to being sick, I’m finally back with an update on this unexpected little Red Hot Cookies. And a lot has happened in the meantime.
She didn’t waste any time and has already gone through her second transplant, now sitting comfortably in a 4.5L pot filled with BioBizz Light Mix. Since then, her development has been nothing short of impressive — steady growth, healthy structure, and a really vibrant overall appearance. 🌿✨
Under the Spider Farmer SF-G1500 (150W) running at around 80% intensity, she’s clearly feeling at home. The internodal spacing looks good, and she’s building a strong base to work with going forward.
What caught my eye this week are the slight red/purple tones starting to appear, adding some early character to her look. If everything continues like this, I’m planning to top her in the coming days and begin a proper mainlining approach. She seems like a perfect candidate for it — symmetrical, healthy, and eager to grow.
Feeding has been kept clean and effective:
🌱 Feeding & Care
🔸 S&R Organics 5-in-1 fertilizer
🔸 BioBizz Bio Down for pH regulation
🔸 Medium: BioBizz Light Mix (4.5L pot)
🔸 Light: Spider Farmer SF-G1500 (150W) at 80%
Even though this plant started as a complete accident, she’s quickly turning into a very exciting project. Strong growth, good structure, and now the next step will be shaping her properly.
Sometimes the unplanned grows really are the most fun ones. 🌿🔥

Purrple_Haze 🌿 Shaping the Future
This Red Hot Cookies, born from last year’s balcony surprise, is really starting to turn into something special. What began as an unexpected seed has now developed into a plant with a lot of character — and this week marked an important step in shaping her future.
About 7 days ago, I topped her, and the result is exactly what I was hoping for. Interestingly, she had already shown a bit of extra vigor beforehand, pushing out three nodes instead of the usual two, which gave me a great base to work with. After topping, she responded beautifully — no hesitation, no stress — just a clean transition into lateral growth.
Now she’s developing into a nice, bushy structure, with multiple shoots reaching upward and filling out evenly. The symmetry is really satisfying to look at, and she seems perfectly suited for the path I have in mind. This could turn into a very clean mainline if she continues like this. 🌿✨
Her overall health is on point: leaves are strong, posture is upright, and the color remains a rich, healthy green. You can really tell she’s comfortable in her environment and ready to push further.
🌱 Current Conditions & Care
🔸 EC: 1800
🔸 pH: 6.3
🔸 VPD: 1.0 – 1.2
🔸 Feeding: S&R Organics 5-in-1 + BioBizz Bio Down
🔸 Medium: BioBizz Light Mix
Everything feels very well balanced right now. Environment, nutrition, and structure are all aligning, and she’s responding with strong, confident growth.
It’s always special when a plant with such an unusual origin turns into something this promising. From a random balcony seed to a well-structured, bushy plant — I’m really enjoying this run so far. Let’s see how far she can go. 🌿🔥

Purrple_Haze 🌿 Flipping the Switch
This Red Hot Cookies, the balcony-born comeback plant, has officially entered a new phase. About 3 days ago (April 18), I flipped her to 12/12, sending her into flower — and so far, she’s responding exactly how I hoped. 🌸✨
Looking back at the previous work, the topping really paid off. She handled it without any issues and pushed out strong, healthy new shoots. I didn’t stop there and went one step further by topping those new branches again, creating a well-structured, multi-headed plant with great potential for an even canopy.
Yesterday, I introduced the next step:
👉 she was woven into a SCROG net.
And honestly, it already looks very promising. The branches are spreading nicely, filling the space, and positioning themselves perfectly for optimal light distribution. This setup should allow her to make the most out of the flowering phase ahead. 🌿🕸️
Structurally, she’s exactly where I want her to be right now — bushy, symmetrical, and full of healthy growth tips ready to stretch into the net over the coming days.
Environment and feeding remain stable and well dialed in, which clearly reflects in her overall vitality.
🌱 Current Conditions & Care
🔸 Light cycle: 12/12 (since April 18)
🔸 Training: Topped multiple times + SCROG applied
🔸 Feeding: S&R Organics 5-in-1
🔸 EC: 1800
🔸 pH: 6.3
🔸 VPD: 1.0 – 1.2
Everything is set for a strong flowering phase now. The structure is there, the health is there, and the net will help guide her into a clean, productive canopy.
From an accidental seed to a well-trained SCROG plant — this one keeps getting more interesting by the week. 🌿🔥
